Thaddeus Matula is the man who made the ESPN 30 for 30, "Pony Excess," the 2010 documentary about SMU's infamous "Death Penalty" for its football team. With the Mustangs football program now back from the dead, thriving, and in the college football playoff, Matula is enjoying this evolution. His father taught at SMU, Thaddeus was 8 when SMU received the Death Penalty. He is an SMU alum. He talked to Mac for The Engel Angle about this story.
