First off, many you tubers are saying these amps are bad unless you have a pre-amp. But most don’t even mention it??? I like the wireless availability and charging feature in the Bose S1 pro plus. That’s a huge benefit to me. But it’s a bit pricey and noted for not having enough volume. I like the Mackie Showbox for having a designated pedal board input plus recording and a mixer. This seems like they are friendly to electric guitars. I’ve heard the mixer is cheaply made. I like the EV Everse 8 because it seems to have more likes but not sure why others than it’s louder. I wanted to plug my Yamaha THR30 into one of these. But after I bought it found out these busking PAs sound awful if you try that. My dark house option is to by a speaker for the Yamaha THR30 amp to go into it, and get a cheaper PA for vocals.
In other videos, it's been said that Mackie says the Showbox is designed like an acoustic guitar amplifier so electric guitar tones apparently don't sound that great through them, unless you have an acoustic simulator pedal or something. But it's really more built for acoustic guitars, not electric guitars being used with distortion tones.
Nice overview! Would you know if the 2 microphone inputs will accept connections from an electric instrument? I have the Thump Go, and it has a combi-jack, with a line selector switch, so it can be used for both vocals or instruments..... Thanks for sharing!
Very good demo, reasonably priced for the high end features included. It seems it would be best for acoustic solo duo work. Not sold on the built in electric sounds but if you had a modeler pedal to plug in it might work through it. I wonder how it compares to the Positive Grid LIVE amp that has p.a., and guitar features for $550 or so.? Probably better for electric guitar but I have never tried either😁Thanks.
Absolutely "literally" a viable option for us solo acoustic musicians. Sounds great. Isit 400 watts peak? That would make itabout 100 watts of actual power. Love tosee it daisy chained to another unit.
I immediately clicked the affiliate links, checked the price and said “no thanks.” I don’t make a living with this kind of gear so I don’t need it. That said; I watched the video and if the mixer actually works and it sounds decent, the price is reasonable for what it does, and this would be great for someone who busks or does enough small gigs to recoup the cost.

Looks good but without a harmonizer function it's hard to compete with the Boss Street 2
Awesome speaker 🔈 and amp unit 🎸🎸🎤🎤🎵🎵Sounds great 👍 Thanks for sharing Landon 🤟🤠🤟🎸🎸🎵🎤
yaaaaa i wish mackie would ask me to demo this riging lol

hey thanks! I'm pretty sure the two XLR inputs will take anything. I connected a Quadcortex to XLR and it was great

Thanks Landon... I'm always looking for something to lighten my load! Looks like that could be the perfect PA for small rooms!

Absolutely!
How do I access the presence knob?
Pretty cool features! Might beat out the yamaha stagepas
Is the headphone out in stereo ?
Pretty cool box. So if you want to boost the mediums, are you boosting the meds? Consult with your doctor before doing so.
and then call the Ghostbusters!

Yeah, it's neat, but not $800 neat. At $399 I might be interested, but there are PA systems that can do all that stuff for $200.
very sweet box!
Pretty cool
idk if I’d ever use this for guitar over a standard amp n cab but for bass and vocals? Yeah, this is pretty fuckin cool
Your wife gave you a room ??? 😂😂
..........😂😂
not an affiliate but my ryobi boom box has an aux in
That's neat. Not $800 neat though. It's about twice the price it should be.
So FX are global?
It's £20????
What is?

@@landonbailey Thanks for link. San Francisco should by in this video. Sounds 10x better
@@kentherapy7022 it's the same audio config :)
Yeah you probably shouldn't smoke a bowl before you record a presentation...lol
Great advice
But where's the fun in that?
Way too much jumping from shot to shot.........
I knew Spielberg had a secret TH-cam account!

I pulled up a retail site so I could see the controls for long enough ....
