Been in the test play three times now, plays like shit. They have a LONG way to go if this is going to be any good. I personally want at least 120 fps on my high end PC, zero stutter or lag (not gonna happen with always online) and modern graphical techniques (like ray tracing) but they won't. This game is going to end up playing and looking worse than Session.
bruh how does that look good to you, looks so stiff and looks like clay, ik it’s still got a lot but if the final result is gonna be that stiff for a board slide then that’s going to be letdown

I am honest. Im 32 now and there are not much games i enjoy since years. Gaming industry is cheesy. I hope Skate 4 changes that. With todays possibilities in making games they can make so much cool stuff. Lets hope they dont ruin it.
I have the same feeling about the game industry on the top of my 35 years old. I follow Skate 4 update but without having particiar expectations however. In the end, it will be another skate game with new flavours.
There are some incredibly cool, down to earth and honest developers and publishers working today. But you are looking in entirely the wrong place for it.

I just started to play Session skate sim, your board wears off when grinding! I bought a new board, grinded and to my surprise the deck was scratched all over. Its a sick game
NBA 2K did the same thing with the shoes in their game a long time ago. You could design your shoe for your player, and then you could then buy the same shoe and have it delivered
In THUG (Tony Hawks Underground) you are able to put stickers on your board and you can even make your own skate design
Got to play the pre pre alpha recently and have mixed emotions after playing it tbh.. Everything we ever knew or loved about the SKATE series, seems to be in the rear-view.
How nobody is coming out and straight up calling this dumpster fire for what it is is nuts. It's nothing like skate.

Yea if you think back to the thps games you could change your body size and hand + feet size calves size height board size and wheel size and truck size a bit especially when the thug pro mod came out but if we’re able to do more like the amount of tattoos jewelry etc and hair hanging out of hats and all kinda customizations for griptape boards and just everything
they need to add the ability to create your own skate park like for example in tony hawks you were able to create a skate park with bunch of elements and post it online. they can give us the ability do to something like that where you can create one and grind with your online personal friend that can be dope

I'm on your side, there should be realistic characters and maybe a few funny extras. However, the main focus should be on the realistic aspects. I also like having enough creation options so that I can create myself! The decks look really good too! And stickers

It’s not going to be fun playing with friends when everyone can do insane tricks easily. If session was online and someone did really hard lines in a couple tries, it would be impressive and a lot more gratifying for the person doing it.
Did you ever play skate 3..? The tricks were never super hard in that game but it was the most popular of the series. It was more about the fun in other aspects rather than learning ridiculously hard tricks
@@willrichardson8423 yeah I played skate 3, it’s a different type of fun you’re right. I think that skating games have kind of gone more towards realism since then, a lot of people are tired of the extra crazy tricks. Everybody played the shit out of skate 3.

Session is a skateboarding simulator, skate is just a fun game, it's changed a lot since the first skate game but they've only really been listening to fans to make it something the community as a whole wants. This game wouldn't even be in the works if people didn't want it

They dipped ab it into that with the shoes, which appear to be some kind of final / stylized pass. They aren't going to release it without texturing the world. The game is still being actively developed, and you can see the art getting closer and closer with every one of these vids. I imagine it will look pretty good by the time it releases, but hey we'll see

I think this game will release alongside the PS6 next year I mean too many legendary delays from the developers and at this point the crazy hiatus it’s been top of the list is too notch realism then of course the clothes and shoes options for sure!!! The mechanics has always been there since Skate 1 so no excuses and yeah we all can make our skater look like Ali Boulala or Jeremy Rogers even Biebel wearing MC Hammer pants and tank top cmon 👏🏼 absolutely we need some Fallens in there the nubuck vulcanized cupsole ones whooo

Skate franchise showed what's possible and opened the way for skater XL and Session, but to be honest, i dont think i'll be checking out skate 4. I'll stick with Session - such a good game.

Also, I feel like they’ve had an alpha play test build for over a year at this point (maybe 18 months?) and the game looks exactly the same. Models still look blocky, world still has no sense of design or texture, and there’s still no sense of gravity.
i think they need to make the skating more realistic not how your gender is going to make it more realistic, where here for the skating, this is just looking more and more like skater xl or session and nothing like skate 3, this just needs to be like skate 3 w new spots, tricks, clothing/ boards and graphics

I have to say In general Skate 4 is something to look forward to.
I also have to add that I won't get too excited because Skate games in the past have ended up being a let down and/or haven't had the customization option that we all want. Also Skate controls and feels have been lack luster in the past as well.

The pace of Video game development is unacceptable at this point. Technology didn’t advance to where it is now for developers to take 5-15 years to produce one product.

Y’all can trademark what I’m about to say here… I do believe this is going to be the best Skate game of all time. Period. And not just “Skate” but skateboarding games as a whole. The amount of depth this game will offer is going to be out of this world.
