@@XenSolation. To be honest, you’re wayyy ahead of other people. I don’t think I (or anyone else I knew) started studying until late April/early May (which wasn’t totally smart on my part but it all worked out). I recommend you use all the resources at your disposal! Because I was on a time crunch, Dobbiecast was the only resource I used but his videos were super helpful and it all worked out in the end.
Incredibly useful. I have had practically no exam prep (in my UK school), and only saw examples of some of my exam papers last week (first exam - history paper one - is tomorrow). This video has allowed me to prepare and at least know what I am doing and how to answer the questions, so thank you for that. You may have saved my grade.
Thank you Sir! I got 22/24 on the M21 Paper 1. How did I study? I watched all of your paper 1 videos and skimmed through my textbook. Yes, your videos helped me that much. Throughout the year, I would always go back to your old paper 1 video and watch it right before I did my exam. I think I have that video memorised :)) Thank you so much !
I just started teaching IB History at my school and this video is super helpful. Even though I was an IB History student in school (2008), teaching it as a teacher and learning as a student are quite different.
This was great! I have taught IB history for years and even joke about the fact that I told my students not to worry about Japan (as the focus) and sure enough it was on Japan. Easiest paper, students just need to practice the skills and timing!
Thank you for this. I have mocks next week and history is one of the least confident subjects. Now at least I can go in with some sort of hope. Could you possibly do this for paper 2 as well?
I'll be doing new ones soon, but for now; www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjGp5qw37bsAhWBQc0KHes_AygQwqsBMAB6BAgKEAM&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DAj5-lpvRib0&usg=AOvVaw1kAlXl_94z_IR2x5DMq8Xc
They’re typically between 2-5 hand written pages. Some go longer. Some a bit shorter. But the biggest factor to your score is actually responding to the question at hand AND attempting to discuss/evaluate multiple perspectives/arguments. Respond to the prompt, but you can and should bring up other factors that matter.
my paper 1 and 2 are tomorrow!! thank you for having this video up for a quick review 🙏🙏
how was it
@@XenSolation. I passed and got my diploma :)
@@samsbae great job! Mine's coming up in May. What did you get for history and did you use Doobiecast a lot as well?
@@XenSolation. I don’t entirely remember I’m not gonna lie but I’m 90% sure I HLed history and I got a 5 overall

what did u get?
@@tooth-pn5rf got a grade 6…not too shabby. Wanted a 7, but I knew that was notoriously hard to get in history.
@@CVHFitness good job either way! Congrats!!!
@@CVHFitnessI’m taking mine this upcoming Tuesday and I know im screwed. I’m praying for a 4.

Yeah. The guessing game will go wrong 50% of the time. If they know this test is all about the skills, they’re good to go!
Thank you so much for this video! My teacher basically left our class on our own, and I am panicking very bad because of it... this helped me so much!

Thank you so much for posting this video!
THANK YOU! I am a new IB History of Americas teacher and this is very helpful!
Awesome! Welcome to the club!
Great video! Thank you..
How long should the answers for question 2 and 3 be? I always feel I'm writing too little and then end up losing track of time

What do you mean by explain "How you see it"? Should we use quotes of the sources?
Like, what made you interpret the image in that way.
Hiii, I have a question should we refer to all of the sources in part 4 ?
No, just the last, are you mentally incapacitated?
Done.
Thank You!
I´ve also seen it done all in one paragraph. I like the three paragraph model better
what grade did you get? I think you understood jackshit
My paper 1 practice is tomorrow in year one. i have heard its hard wish me luck
