never seen this channel but it popped up on my recommended and i was thinking this channel had a few hundred thousand subscribers, very high quality and very good video. subscribed
I've always believed that it's best to make a few systems interact with each other to create more complexity instead of a bunch of smaller systems to handle each interaction. It's how the universe does it, there are literally only 4 fundamental forces that create all other interactions that exist.
dude what??? i saw this video thinking you were a popular youtuber with literally MILLIONS of subs, but I come down to like and sub, and its only a few hundred!! you definitely dont get the recognition you deserve man. you rock.
I’ve shared the same sentiment about battlefield for a very long time nothing has come close to the feeling I got playing bad company 2 when I was in grade school and then the massive let down that every installment was to me afterwards stacking at mines to drop a building instead of destroying the site in rush will always be one of my fondest memories, along with value in being the first survival craft game I’ve enjoyed in a long time due to the physics engine i got killed by a falling tree within the first 30 minutes of playing and fell in love with the game for its simplicity but almost endless possibilities of chain reactions
i would do anything to go back to the prime bfbc2 days. it was a nice idea in the latest installment to have Portal mode but hardly anyone even plays the game or uses the browser. I may have to check back in with battlefield 2042 just to see if it's even playable now 🤣
@@bokey_1da Nah, dude, thank you! I adore this video format, informational videos about video games and their development processes, and will be waiting for more. Love ya, bud.
RDR2 is extremely on rails imo. The complete disconnect between the narrative and your activities in the world is very obnoxious to me. Rockstar is very guilty of making missions less and less free. RDR2 was a step forest from GTA5. But that’s no excuse for all the other step backs. Fantastic video though! I definitely agree about BC2 as well as the take on new Zelda games. I have to appreciate them for at least trying to be unique. Now if only we could get studios to deliver a product with more than a few dimensions of quality/innovation.
Games are really defined by their limitations, that's how we know what basketball or golf is. Realism is somewhat overrated. Your point about emergent gameplay really struck me, the way the physics of different systems work together is more important than just having tons of systems in the first place (e.g. your example of a "taming" system)
I’ve been replaying transformers war for cybertrion and not only does it have better destruction than Star Wars battlefront 2 but it also has better ai path finding than any modern games 😅
Thanks man! And for Firestorm it’s tough to say. UE3 version looks a bit wonky and I don’t really care much for conquest mode. The UE5 version will take a much longer time to release.. but meh, I’m not really interested as I once was
Saying BOTW is "not that fun" in 2023 is def a big balls move hats off. I rly love that game tho lol. I like the graphic style you can tell me what you want and I love the open world of it. I get your point tho about the enemies and the weapon system it's just not rly a big deal to me. Also I think the weapon system is made to force players to be more creative and recource efficient with their kills. All in all great video earned a sub
Definitely !!! In my opinion, graphics in most games released these days are unnecessarily exaggerated and praised. Definitely physics and game engine are more important now, it's so crappy I feel like vomiting...
Battle royals seem like the perfect place for amazing physics. Games like pubg should make a sequel in unreal 5 based entirely around physics. Cuz as soon as the match is over the map just resets Anyways
Blaming the hardware for the lack of physics is bullshit, the physics in breath of the wild are one of the most fun things about the game and it runs on a nokia 3310
Haha I totally understand man. Some games for me is timing and if I don’t have the actual time it takes to take everything in and appreciate it for what it is, I can get impatient. I would like to give it another go when I have some time off of work to immerse myself more with it. But trust me, I get it!
This channel makes me sad. How does a channel that makes actually good videos not have any views?? The algorithm truly is cruel. Also, you're giving me dunkey vibes a bit actually

Really means a lot man. Thank you 🫶

Exactly!!!
DEVELOPERS GOT LAZY AND YOU ALL LET THEM.
The thing is destruction is the most fun so it trumps any sort of "gameplay problem"
The push of more realistic graphics and 4k killed it...
9:39 This Was So Fukkin Dope & Wholesome🤣 I Swear I’ve Been Binging Rockstar Since The GTA VI Trailer

Holy fucking shit, less than 800 subs? I watched the video and fully thought this dude was an older youtuber.
Quality content here, subscribing now.
Thanks so much man! 🫶

what gives weight to movement and world environment in a video game, like old ps2 games

Creativity starts when limitations are established! Now I just want to play Valheim again 😂
Cool video 👍

Just leaving this comment to support a small creator. I liked he video and the reasoned contribution opinion

Awesome video. Will you play firestorm(renegade x tiberian sun) when it comes out?

in most games you can destroy nothing lol, not even a bracked on the wall.
I completely agree with your BotW rant. It also applies to TotK.
I'm hoping the success of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom brings more notice to physics because what a difference it makes!
Absolutely! Super excited to play it
@@bokey_1da I hope you enjoy it!
The Finals is a waste of its technological innovation. A game about collecting boxes!?!?!?!? This is like a Bugatti doing door dash!

782 subs and nice talk about why i only like a few games physics, and as a physics major it makes it relays my beleifs.
Thank you dude!
Nvidia ray tracing holy grail to the graphics
Battlebit remastered. It's Bad company 2 minus EA.
10:30 Always said that about BOTW, one of the worst zelda.
Blaming the hardware for the lack of physics is bullshit, the physics in breath of the wild are one of the most fun things about the game and it runs on a nokia 3310
🤣 facts
Amazing video, but your take on botw, especially its soundtrack is straight up wrong in my opinion

Very easy. The development of new easier and visually appealing rendering features promote laziness to develop these very complex mechanics.
This channel makes me sad. How does a channel that makes actually good videos not have any views?? The algorithm truly is cruel. Also, you're giving me dunkey vibes a bit actually
It is what it is - unfortunately gaming on YT is so oversaturated! I’ll just keep making what I enjoy and see where it takes me 👌
Tears of the Kingdom fixed many of the issues you describe with BOTW.
Not really
Far Cry 2 has a very good physics engine...
...FC3, FC4, FC5 and FC6 doesn't!
Breath of the wild is bad.
