People forgot how broken zoos were that there was legit no other competition. At least with the current format and past format, there were multiple top decks
@@peteryanes3413its like Tear format. If you played Zoodiac, then the mirror match was skillful. Other decks besides Paleo (60 varianr or normal), nah
The issue with Snake-Eye isnt that there's no other decks. Its that the format is way too tight, the top decks are all too expensive, the games are too luck dependant, and the format has been going on since February (so 8 months atm). And this is coming from someone who likes the Diabellstar lore decks. I'm hoping the new changes are enough to keep the Azamina cards from making SE super fucking oppressive again, but that's yet to be seen. Right now i'm carefully optimistic.
People have rose tinted glasses for this era but i still think it was a toxic format. Zoodiac just outresource any deck with a Drident and set 5 / have 5 handtraps.
Zoo Draco together full power was almost as devastating as Pepe... But no E-banlist ever came... History that truly paved the way for how we got to 12 months of Snake-Eyes
Are we certain Zoos are the most toxic and not either Gumblar handlooping people for 5 or Kash when it could make you unable to play by locking all your zones or straight up win through mill during their combo because they had both Mind Hacker and Arise-Heart? The fact people thought those cards could be unbanned on this recent list is suprising... I may have started ad adamancipator, but dealing with Kashtira at it's full power made me contemplate murder as a viable strategy. Luckily for me (and any possible opponents) I no longer play the modern meta. Unfortunately, this means I will one day seek to inflict that pain onto others by playing the most toxic deck in Edison format that most people seem to forget exists (because it's an unspoken agreement to not play Self-Destruct Button)
The fact that you missed out Zoo era explained a lot, yeah. 1. Zoo is basically the first deck of its kind that started the trend of 1-card combo. Most decks before it required at least 2 cards to do things, with 1 of them is a hard draw. 2. Zoo can generate way too much advantage, even without the normal summon. That’s why it’s splashable in pretty much almost every deck. You either play Zoodiac or lose to it. 3. Zoo also started the trend of decks with minimal archtypal cards and tons of tech cards. And yeah, Ash Blossom was introduced in Zoo era too. 4. Gumblar loop may be broken because it stops you from doing anything, but at least in that era, you have had more handtraps to deal
I remember coming back from a break into this format becuz my friends really wanted to go to regionals and I went x-2 at regionals playing stun 😂 the quick pop was really OP at the time but nowadays seems really fair compared to all the Omni negates.

It's been some years since and I was away from the game during this time but if they had all of their cards back, I do wonder what their place in the metagame would be?
If we look at results in master duel drident and barrage are at 3 and m-x saber invoker at 1 did nothing to current meta so those Zoodiac drident and Zoodiac barrage can come back to 3 and m x saber invoker back to 1 and won't hurt current meta just be another rogue deck
Zoodiac format was so trash. If you could’ve afford zoodiac the other option was true Draco also to be competitive you needed ash blossom which was only available as a secret at the time.
it's not Zoo's fault that all the good D/D/D cards got delayed multiple times and the final delay on the structure deck meant it wasn't playable in TCG until literally the week before Zoo came out.
The Reason: Zoodiacs Xyzs are Link 1s with no hard once per turn.
At least their "Link 1 summon" was hard once per turn

Not me it one of my favorites decks formats

Nah Paleo was good

I played from 2005-2017 and I ended right before these got printed 😂.
I mainly hated the pendulum era.
Zoo Draco together full power was almost as devastating as Pepe...
But no E-banlist ever came...
History that truly paved the way for how we got to 12 months of Snake-Eyes
Wait a second this isn't about Extra Link SPYRAL
Despite how strong SPYRAL was, it never got 100% useage.
People STILL swear that less than 3 desires is correct. SMH. The math is highly in favor of 3 copies.
Keep making content like this!

Kash wasn’t even that bad. Especially once 89 got banned.

How did I not realize that Zoodiacs had such cute waifus ?

Fully in agreement with you @USELESSDCK . They won’t be a problem anymore, weak to mass removal

cool camera
Compared to the current game, Zoodiac is mid.
But back in 2017, nobody could touch it.
Zoodiac was one of the pioneers of one card starters and the handtrap heavy format.
@@traplover6357Yep. Respect the past. 🫡
Idk, Yata Lock, CCV DAD Return, and Djinn Nekroz were pretty toxic
