So earl..... Rear= 80w with widemaxx springs Front= 60w with stock rear springs ??? Is this the perfect setup in your opinion?? Also, how many threads(length) are your front and rear shocks adjusted to (or what do you recommend I set them to)? Please let me know. Thanks!!!
Jason Vorderbrueggen I’m going to try 60 in the front I haven’t yet but I feel this might be a little right in the front on rebound but with 80 k all around and rear turned all the way up and front at 8 threads down seems to bash well and handle some road bashing 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
Just bought a traxxas maxx. It's -15 for the next few days in Minnesota. Going to put the wide maxx kit in and 80 weight in the rear with 60 or 70 in the front. Before I even drive it. Never had a RC car that cost more that $50. What weight do you recommend? I bought some 50 weight but after watching your videos I think I want to go thicker. I can't even drop it from knee high without it bottoming out. It won't be this cold forever so I plan on getting out when it gets in the 50's.
I used the rear springs but left the front springs alone just turned up all the springs all round I maxed them out and put 80 w all around it worked the best for the widemaxx in 80 degree weather 💯💯👍👍🔥🔥🔥
My outcast 4s was sounding and running a little weird and when I checked it out, one of the bearings on the motor failed. The bearing on the pinion side. Check your bearings on the motor.
Yeah, looks like your shock drain and replace helped. So you’ve now got 80w all around and the stock front (softer) springs up front? I’m gonna go up to 50w and see how that does.
I was waiting for this vid👍🏼 I don’t think it will hold up well with landing wrong through since I got wider tires for my maxx I landed wrong on a jump and cracked the wheel right off
@@danberger873 Wow. OK. Haven't noticed many doing wheels doing this (that's just the vids I'm watching though). I have a small split in one of my tires. Super glued it up. I'll see how that goes. If I break a wheel, I guess I'll try some prolines but I'm not going any bigger in size. I want to keep tires as light as possible to reduce other parts breaking when they get to flopping around during wrecks. I hope your new tire combo last a long time
damn! you about have nailed the dial in! as of now it's... * rear- widemaxx kit springs/ 80w *front- stock springs/ 80w and potentially 60w optional correct? thanks!👍
Jon Kruger yes and rear is 80w with widmaxx springs and front is 80w maybe 60w with stock front springs rear is adjusted 3/4 the way down and front is 1/4 thread showing 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
I’ve been reading the comments so all you run is 80wt all around, keep the front shocks where they are and put the new shocks that come with the wide kit in the back? (Would appreciate it you could confirm this)......Also traxxas is looking at my esc bc of that problem I had with the car not even reaching 45mph and doing no wheelies on 4s
CaRnAgE_4_Justin I’ve showed my face in the 6 live streams I was on with tru boyz rc live and Rc guys garage come check out there live streaming I’m on those 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
Hey what shock oil would you recommend on front and back with the wide MAXX kit springs on the back and the back springs on the front I do a lot of street riding and also a lot of jumping with high speed bashing what would you think would the best oil for front and back
I didn’t like moving the rear springs to the front made it bounce a lot on landing but I used 80 w in the end after test 50 w in my other wide maxx and playing with the springs to get it to land nice 💯💯👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cool run
Speed Freak thanks 🙏
@@earlmoorhead5555 so you like the heavier oil ?
Speed Freak I do but I think the front should be 60 k not 80 k and leave the front springs alone 🔥🔥👍👍
So earl.....
Rear= 80w with widemaxx springs
Front= 60w with stock rear springs
???

Great small bump testing which is a rear end kicker for most ALL RC's! 👍👌
Yes get it inline for the bigger jumps I feel 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
Nailed it!!! Going phat on the oil really dialed it in. Next hit some motor cycle whoops wide open let’s see it. Great video thx for sharing.
Thanks 🔥🔥👍👍

Looks like a good time bro!!
Yes 🔥🔥👍👍
If your not going to be jumping try loosing you rear shock springs
We jump the widemaxx a lot 🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
So you put 80 all around ? Did you use the springs in the kit? Great work again!
I used the rear springs but left the front springs alone just turned up all the springs all round I maxed them out and put 80 w all around it worked the best for the widemaxx in 80 degree weather 💯💯👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Sweet I’m going to o try 60 I’m up north in Chicago.

Yes I agree 50/69 might be enough 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍

Please let us know what wheels and tires cracked or what parts?
What wheels or parts cracked?
3 of the inside rims of the maxx tires that’s why I got the src tires since they are very durable I heard

@@earlmoorhead5555 hi earl, how are your diffs set up? Looks really nice
Media Account the orange widemaxx has one million in the rear diff 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
@@earlmoorhead5555I'm gonna try this.. are the mid and front still stock?
Like #18 wich one do you like better maxx or outcast
MOBAY 876 RC out of the 4s line the widemaxx I feel handles way better
I keep destroying the tires on my Maxx! Any advice on what tires to get? Obviously for a hard bashing.
The 4s arrma backflips seem to work good and the rim seems stronger 👍👍🔥🔥

Yes I can confirm that my maxx set up 🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Yoo I have the same issue right out of the box and i cogged a lot, sent them back to Traxxas for a replacement. So I’m not the only one hah
Awesome earl. I wonder if we will ever see your face lol 🤔

Change the stx2 on the outcast ruins all the experience of any truck you should roll over the radio of that car with your real car
Hahahahaha I agree that radio sucks 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
Looking to get a 3s basher! What’s your suggestion?
The granite is a good one for the money 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
The maxx needs bigger tires.
TWOPUPS ye very true
