What is the large canister looking device in front of the master cylinder? Is that some sort of primitive brake booster setup? I'm enjoying the series as I've always like the Amazons.
Hearing your comments about using 12 and 13mm sockets during the removal the clutch slave cylinder, Volvo's 122 1800 140/160 444/544 cars are SAE and not metric.
I think you forgot to tell us to go fix something in our garage. Maybe I missed it. Regardless, once again I’m inspired to go fix something in my garage. I think I’ll dremel the corrosion off of my fuse connectors and replace all the 40 year old fuses.
This one has been a bit of a challenge but I'm enjoying the old gal. No name yet! The TV was free from the dumpster at work and the PC was last years christmas gift. bout time I set it up
I'm pretty sure you're on top of this, but...the real challenge will be sourcing a puller for the rear drums. Rear wheel cylinders are my Amazon kryptonite. And rear adjusters are odd, white metal lumps that have to be taken apart, cleaned and relubed.
I haven't even started on the rears yet so thank you for the heads up! I have what I THINK to be the right wheel cylinders but we'll find out when we get there. I don't have a drum puller but again, will reinvent the tool when ultimately the time is upon us. LOL
Hey Scott!! I know exactly what you mean! I was looking at it when I put the stone guards on and the trim is just soo perfectly bent around the trim ring. Ive decided to leave it for now since it goes with the look of the car
@@DeanofMachines to be honest Dean, I thought your content was pretty consistent all the way through Yes it's a learning curve and you adapt your style as you go It's awesome to see rescue/resurrection like this

Great to hear you are enjoying the series! I'm having fun working on it. To answer your question, that is indeed the brake booster!
Awesome work bro, thanks for the shoutout 🤘
Absolutely! Happy to share

You are absolutely right!

You've sold me on this car too. Great quick progress from where it was.
Quick?! Its moving along nicely but feels like anything but quick.
Love your sense of humour man. Great work on this beast. So much rust- it’s a miracle anything is turning at all.
Welcome back Shawn! I'm amazed ive gotten anything to free up. Luck is on my side

@@ShawnTheGreek You are absolutely right! I did leave it out this time. Time got away from me. I aim to inspire with every video I upload. CHEERS!

Welcome back! Piece by piece it's getting itself together!
The old girl is coming on really nicely! Have you got a name for it yet? Nice video set up you've got in the background there too 😉

Love watching this series. My OCD wants you to pull the chrome trim back into position on the driver fender.

Old skool engineering is best, easier to work on
It's funny to look back at these videos and see how much better my content is now. I appreciate you travelling far back into the archives LOL
