  • In this tutorial I'll show you main steps of cute Cubone 3d modeling using Blender. If you anything like me, you probably was scared of complicated shapes 😅 Sculpting is the best way to go in such situation... So I tried to block out and sculpt overall shape of the model and retopologize it this time. Well, you should try it too! I got so much more confidence in what I was doing and it's much better than manually tweaking verts one by one
    Hope you enjoy the video!

    Really great workflow of using Sculpting for a base and PolyModeling around it.
    I don't think I've seen any other video use this method.

      There're some guys using this method though. I really really like to work like that, you could really just make flat topo and sculpt on it😅

      Thank you so much! I use purely mouse + keyboard 😅 I feel a bit sorry I can't recommend any tablet to you since I don't use one :\ I've heard tablets from xp-pen are good, which one to buy I think really depends on your budget

    • @dannyfranco199
      @dannyfranco199 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you still need a recommendation, I got the 2022 Huion 16 pro 2.5k and it’s f***ing magical. I’ve seen people recommending non display tablets for blender but I can easily argue otherwise. It’s been helpful in streamlining the workflow as I can see what I’m editing/sculpting in real time vs looking up and down between the tablet and my monitor. If not, go with a Huion tablet that has no screen, they’re just as good as xp-pen and there’s plenty of reviews to justify it.

      @@cupcake5545 well I guess thats because people are not committed enough to watch till the end (since you know art takes time 😅). So I tried to keep it short while still retaining some info points. And I'm really happy if that's helpful to you! Because as I can see people tend to watch just really speedy videos and I don't know why 😬

      Hello! It used to be just one leg and I mirrored it (applied the modifier) - it's my preference, you may not apply it and mirror it afterwards
      And I have a mirror enabled in sculpt mode (top right)

    why is my rounded cube coming in as a "Cube" and not a sphere like yours?

    • @Kileice
      @Kileice  ปีที่แล้ว

      Because I added a smoothed one before, it saves last settings of current session. When you add a rounded cube, there're settings on your left bottom corner. Change smooth factor there to 1

    • @Kileice
      @Kileice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      спасибо за просмотр! ^^ ретопологию нужно делать, если собираешься анимировать модель
      ее также проще поставить в позу с ретопо, но в принципе можно и без
      можно вообще заскульптить уже в позе и не париться, если, конечно, цель - просто стиллы или под печать

      @@ziggystr5594 @ziggystr5594 np! so does your mesh have holes after remeshing? but I would suggest to try to recalculate normals, see if the mesh have holes to begin with (fill them)
