My exboyfriend took his life on 10/3/2023 at appx 11am. Demon hunter was one of his favorite bands in the world. I took him to PA uprise fest in 2018 where we got to meet the band after the show. Itll always be a core memory for me. Ill always love him even though we parted ways with a sour taste in our mouths… i never hated him. This was our song.

I was also a victim of abuse from my both parents and the worst part is that even all these fellow christians can't love me and yes I know only God really loves me but sometimes a human needs a human connection.
my brother tormented me for three years and a summer relentlessly verbally abusing me yelled at me i was gay and threw me around i honestly think if i could change anything i wouldn't it made me who i am today and no one should be tormented like i was but i wouldn't change a thing because i wouldn't have found Christ the way i did and i really love my brother and and my guy i hope you can move past that as well its good to speak against abuse and trauma. spread the word of God
Thank you for sharing and i stand with you. I was brought up in an emotionally abusive household. My father even became physical on a few occasions with my mom. I married a man just like my dad. I'm struggling and now my kids are being exposed to the same sickness I was as a kid. I've asked my husband to go to therapy and if he doesn't I'm going to have to make the hardest decision of my life to separate. Besides therapy and prayer, im not sure what more i can do. it's amazing how you see so much hatred in the comments under a band that is not Christian or is anti-christ. Yet under this song I'm seeing so much positive comments. It just makes me wonder how someone could honestly question the existence of the Lord. Because this is one of many things that back up his existence in my life.

It is said that God wants a relationship with the people of the world, not people who follow a set of strict rules and regulations. It isn't often I come across agnostics, generally they seem to be the only somewhat open minded people left on the planet. Religious people often come across as people who blindly follow God without ever being open to any information that smells like it goes against what they believe, and atheists usually ignorantly believe there can't be a God because there isn't any proof, which is backwards because there isn't any proof against his existence, so by the same logic he must exist. Of course there are many other ways both sides are ignorant, but I have ranted long enough. . . Sorry.

it's amazing how you see so much hatred in the comments under a band that is not Christian or is anti-christ. Yet under this song I'm seeing so much positive comments. It just makes me wonder how someone could honestly question the existence of the Lord. Because this is one of many things that back up his existence in my life.

I would like to point out that evidence in no cases can ever be used to prove anything, evidence is used to construct predictive models so we can gather more information and maybe eventually derive or discover something that is proof. It's all about getting more information and developing our understanding of things in our universe, not proving things.
The reason we can question the existence of God isn't necessarily because of evidence against him, but because of the lack of evidence for his existence. Though, if you think about things from the stand point of an all powerful being like God, it can put in perspective a possible reason why there could be a lack of evidence in favor of his existence. If this being wanted his followers to live their lives acting in faith, then why would he allow undeniable proof of his existence to be seen by everyone? This would negate the need for faith. If he unarguably exists it wouldn't be possible to doubt him, and trusting in him is also made redundant . Free will to some extent would be taken away because you would have to choose to follow him or go against him and that would contradict the over riding theme of the bible, which is relationship and love. It is said that God wants a relationship with the people of the world, not people who follow a set of strict rules and regulations. This means that it needs to be on our terms as humans whether or not to be in said relationship.
By the way, mad respect! It isn't often I come across agnostics, generally they seem to be the only somewhat open minded people left on the planet. Religious people often come across as people who blindly follow God without ever being open to any information that smells like it goes against what they believe, and atheists usually ignorantly believe there can't be a God because there isn't any proof, which is backwards because there isn't any proof against his existence, so by the same logic he must exist. Of course there are many other ways both sides are ignorant, but I have ranted long enough. . . Sorry.
This may be a bit over the top but I want to mention how this song is so relatable to me. I'm right now going through alot of pardon the expression (shit) and it's really affecting me. I've been dealing with it for 8 years and I don't know if there is actually anyway at this point to overcome it as it is a part me.

ha November 15 is my birthday! Lol So sorry about your feelings. I hope you might consider reading the whole bible in one session before you get too excited about what its actually about... Did you know Jesus basically tells us that he is Adam and Lucifer? and the oldest book of the bible is actually job and is straight forward about God's darkside... I just thought it my be worth something to realize that the bible is a lot more deep then it is made out to be! :) God is not claiming all the bragging rights for superiority and calling us less then worthy perfect individuals... he inspired the book of job and it is really honest about the truth of God.
