I learn playing tennis by watching tons of tennis coaches and ATP players slomo YT videos...i can afford to pay a formal tennis training in many tennis clubs in our city but im enjoying the experimenting of tons of tennis strokes and that was 7 years ago since i started but your videos is more compelling, simpler, and more in execution than just talking...keep up the good work! 💪♥️
Segue tanti video per migliorare il mio tennis, oltre ad essere seguito dal mio maestro, e questo è di gran lunga tra i migliori per le spiegazioni tanto chiare, complimenti.
1st) Thank you very much. 2nd) This tied everything together for me. I have been working on this for such a long time. 3rd) there are many high quality videos on forehand; however, you get lost as there is so much emphasis on the hand motion and very little on the footwork!!!
Thank you for this video. I immediately tried out this technique and i saw that my forehand had improved especially my aim. Thank you i will keep practising it and see more improvement.
I saw this video before. This time around it actually clicked. I was able to teach this to my 6 year old daughter today and she was hitting top spin every time and more confident on her shots. Thank You very much.!!!!
Some good stuff there... advanced players will be able to follow this great... lower amateurs, will be tough... wrist lag is the #1 source of power in any hitting sport.... tennis, golf, baseball... legs help expedite that process as well as the torso... Anyone who doesn't get this, go watch a wheelchair championship at a major... they strike the ball harder and better than any amateur under 5.0. Watch golfers hit 250 yards on their knees, but ask them to do that with their wrist taped up, they will not even try it. The kinetic chain is for one purpose... to make the wrist do what it was meant to do, and it can still do its job even without a chain... that's how I always explain it.
when saw the white truck drove pass behind the green fence, i started to worry about the cars drive pass could be hit by the ball. But very nice video, love the energy!
so understandable so professional I love it your movie and I will try this my students very good understandable thank you for your good job very very professional
It is my understanding you need to hit the ball on the rise. Sometimes, I hit it too late and it's too high for me to get any spin on it. It's so tough to me to hit it at the exact right height when it's coming at me. Also if there's a lot of pace it's hard for me to get set up correctly.
@@GrantVanderHayden .. a very flat-footed 'world-class' student - it's doubtful she could play actual rallies from the baseline. Hitting a hand-fed ball is no measure of real skill.
@@tenspro1636 it's not about how many players he has produced. There are so many players like me who've learned so much from his videos. I've learnt tennis from watching tutorials and trust me, no other coach on TH-cam explains the fundamentals of a stroke better than him
@@mihiracharya5484 .. there are far better tennis tutorials than this channel with proper coaches who know how to explain tennis technique and demonstrate it. This hyped up presentation has no substance - neither of these two can really hit a ball properly. Where does it show them actually demonstrating a decent rally from the baselines - they can't do it - probably couldn't maintain a rally of more than 20 shots.
hehe nice, man!! You are great! I´m from Brazil, and I´ve just started to play tennis, it´s about 6 months, and I always look for tip videos around the tube. I found you, and reaaaally liked your video! You are happy! Nice man! Good job! Thanks from Brazil!
semi open gives you more rotational power, and your body would not be locked up by neutral stance. Having said that, you can use neutral stance if you want to hit the ball down the line, or provide translational power , but most of the times for the modern game, you should use semi-open stance
I would not advise an open stance for aggressive shots! However, the open stance is commonly used on the return. But we will see the pro's using a semi-open or closed predominantly as it facilitates greater forward weight transfer!
In your opinion, Is there a limit of age to perform this kind of forehand? Middle aged players can learn It? I'm 45 😬 but I still dream to be able to execute It. Very good video, Grant! Congrats! Thanks!
You show how to use the legs and the big muscle groups, which I agree is an important fact. But the girl doesnt use the pressure from her legs. She has a nice forehand, absolutly ok, but she uses much more rotation energy from her hips and shoulders.
Great stuff for YOUNG players. Older players should tweak using grip and swing mechanics, cuz that's all they have left. And for God'S sake, hit the ball smoothly, don't bash it.
YES Nabeen! The role of the off-arm is actually quite simple - you want it stretched across the body (pointed towards the side fence/parallel to the net) and then as you accelerate from the legs and turn the trunk you will tuck it in.
Your information has valid points. Your presentation, imo, is too much like a bad infomercial. You should take into account that many people don't learn by fast talking "rah rah," type methods. You've got a good concept but if I were you I'd try to temper it down a bit. It just almost appears to be a tad disingenuous...
Most WTA pros and champions like Serena, Naomi, Halep, don’t do this (ATP style swing/hitting structure and positioning on right side), are they not world class players? Are they not at the highest level of the game? Also, the vast majority of pro players do not use a straight arm, they use a double bend structure, like your student.

Chloèee❤
.. so why did he use the illustration of Federer and then go on to demonstrate something completely different with the footwork?
The girl is very good ~ nice
.. she's flat-footed - poor footwork - she can't really hit at all.
Btw this girl so beautiful, really really beautiful
Ritalin could be a solution....
