    I've watched hundreds of video about the forehand and this is THE video you need to watch!
    Man your drills unlocked such a deep understanding of what my coaches kept saying but that I couldn't figure out!
    In one practice I gained so much power and locked down parameters for my forehand to be consistent, thank you so much!
    I'm sending rockets 🚀 now

      pretty good video overall, but his Right/Wrong cover is misleading and he misses the #1 source of power for the Stroke...

    Great job on this tennis tutorial! It's undoubtedly the best tennis channel you can find on TH-cam. The video quality, editing, and graphics are top-notch. The technical explanations are clear and easy to follow. Keep up the great work!

    this is great for teaching the straight arm forehand technique. like Rune and Alcaraz. Not many players have a full locked arm on contact though. bear in mind. I like Sinner and Novak forehand with a bit of bend personally

    Loved your three trips, I tried them and it making a difference in my game, thank you👏. I have a question about shoulder adduction, I read somewhere it should be used only in emergency situation where unit turn and feet are not in position. Making it part of standard stroke may hurt shoulder, is that something to be concerned of? You video did mention “slight adduction”, not full.

    Hello coach, I have been copying Pete Sampras forehand's motion for about 2 months. I am using his forehand motion because my ready position is toward the backhand side ( I mean when I finish my strokes the racket head goes toward the backhand side position NOT in the center ). My grip at this position is always continental grip. Then when the ball is coming toward my forehand, I switch from continental to eastern forehand grip, while I am taking the racket head from backhand side position to a tucked raised elbow position ,which I am copying exactly like Pete's awkward wind- up position. My left arm ( I am righty ) gets in a parallel position with the base line , under my chin and i am coiling my body and I am sitting on a virtual chair ....I am telling ALL this story to get to this point. when I start my swing and transferring my weight from back to front, my hitting arm DOSE NOT get extended or straighten up as you are emphasizing here VERY much . I watched so many slow motion videos of Pete's forehand and he DOSE NOT straighten his hitting arm either .......his hitting arm and elbow position is almost making 90 degree with his body . it seems to me it is a very close to his body .please kindly adviseth-cam.com/video/2wRq4N5pSgQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kG4el7ohcZy6wO97

    If you make the contact way in front, then you get the weight transfer and get easy power

    Thanks. I noticed I have a tendancy to get my right foot forward too early so I'm too open and lose control. Is that a common issue? It certainly effects my ability to move forward through the shot and end up moving back or up

    • @GrantVanderHayden
      @GrantVanderHayden  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question my friend! It sounds like the footwork variation you are using is a pivot where you rotate off the front foot and finish in an open stance. This is a great move, but you might not be performing it correctly based off what you told me. If you want 100% confidence you're developing world class footwork, I would encourage you to become a member in my membership and I will be able to review your footage and give you a customized development plan . Simply email me at support@grantvanderhayden.com and I'll send you the link if you're interested🙌🏆

    Talks too much. Just like so many online coaches they're overly verbose. Just because you talk a lot doesn't mean you know a lot and it seems this is the stock in trade of online coaches, they have no idea how to be concise.
