@@ernestkoxhaj5400 Sure, the first thing you need to do is download and install the Razer Synapse program. When you open it, you will see an overview of all Razer devices connected to your PC. At the top of the menu bar you have the Audio tab. There you will find the settings for your headset. Below the Audio menu tab you have the Mixer and Enhancement tab. In Mixer you go to THX Spartial Adion On and then to manual. All games that are installed on your PC are listed below. I have selected THX Competitive Mode for Apex Legends.
Then in Enhancement I used the same settings as BraveN in this video at minute 06:45:

THX spatial is recommended for surround sound. I would avoid using dolby entirely, but you can play with the usb sound card setup on dolby for movies and music, see if it sounds good and lmk!
Do you need to buy the thx softwares separately after purchasing a razer kraken ultimate? And does using using a usb c to traditional usb adaptor disable special audio?
@wraith No there is no code included in the box. After contacting the Razer customer support they didn't seem to have implied that there is supposed to be a code within the box either.

Everyone's experiences may vary, not everyones ears are the same. If it sounds better to you, then keep it your way.

Hi, how can I enable THX mode in the soft? When i pick THX in Sound Output i no hear nothing. Only standard audio output works Blackshrck V2 pro. And they work in stereo

Most likely the kraken te doesn't come with bass boost feature, not to worry though just raise your lower end EQs to adjust for the bass. Should help

Just got my blackshark v2 today. But I get an echo like its in a big all. Any ideas? If I go into sound setting and set thx as default. It fixes it. But then I get a advisory in synapse to set thx to default? If I do that. I get the echo again

@@magana7009 if I use the sound card there no echo. When I use thx. I get echo. But only if warzone is set to thx in the mixer. If I use custom or game mode there also no echo.

yes they do, sorry for the late response but all your settings lock into your headsets that you use through synapse. however, the quality drops off because of licensing on consoles. your best bet is to get a compatible headset with your console of choice. for example, Razer Thresher is for Playstation, and Razer Kaira for Xbox will work best out of box, and can be adjusted with synapse

No, no optimizations. Though I have decided to try testing for windows Sonic at the least for v2 pro, but I'm assuming it just raises audio and muffles sound like it did on the v2 wired. Well see.

This video is quite helpful, but can you please show all your windows sound settings? For example, whether you have extra signal enhancements on or DVD quality or windows sonic surround sound on... Cuz, whenever I have the mixer on manual and set to THX audio for windows and synapse, it sounds insanely muddy and terrible echos. However, when I have it on auto with THX audio for windows, it sounds fine... Also, IDK if windows surround sound is helping the echo or not... I'll have to do some more testing. Additionally, the regular razer USB sound card sounds good with no echos whereas THX unless the aforementioned is enabled or disabled.

Set it up in Razer Synapse for best results, if you have a sound card it should save the profile, however consoles lose quality compared to PC.

Ill see what i can look into, i just bought them myself and noticed the audio quality is a bit better for them, ill also test out mic. Should be the same for both mics
i have mine on custom with the broadcast settings but the bass i turned up slightly. Not sure why everyone thinks this mic is bad at all everyone i have met in game says I sound extremely clear

@@so4op4fast4aim it will just increase some bass in your voice but if you turn it up too much your voice can start to sound muddy. I think the general consensus that I've seen online is to use the broadcast mode and then tweak the values that you wanna change or keep it the way it is. Also i could be wrong but I've noticed having it plugged into a wrong or bad usb slot can impact the sound quality

It should automatically upload all you put into the soundcard through the software. Something I have to research personally though, as I have not used my headset outside of pc gaming. With there wireless basilisk ultimate mouse, the profile saves automatically from what I've experienced though

All games. It's a software feature, though it can be bugged in some games till an update happen. Amazing headset regardless you'll love it

Hey for some reason when I'm on THX Spatial Audio there is no sound option tab.
Are you also using THX spatial audio?
Set your mode to Manual under the Mixer tab in Synapse, after that change the right tab to "custom mode" after that make sure your windows sound option at the bottom right of your screen is turned on to "THX Spatial Sound" not the synapse version. You may want to run your headsets main audio for now though, since Synapse is having a priority issue with audio.
I'm having the same problem here, no sound is coming from THX Spatial Audio... I can only use the stereo driver from the headset.

Sound card or THX for Blackshark V2?
In my opinion Sound card is much better and clearer, but with THX, you can hear footsteps soo much better but audio overall is kinda muddy and unclear. So, sound card or THX?
If you play with some "competitive" shooter go and grab one of this. I just start to using it and it is much better I switched from astro a50 to this and men... You will need few days till you figure out how dose this work but then you will like it. If you need for music forget it.... Im not gonna lie... for music, this is trash.. movies are fine in my opinion not the best but not bad either.. If you want smooth, nice, clear sounds then go grab a DAC and AMP with some expensive headset around 350ohm. which is really expensive but the quality will be really really good. although for sound positioning THX is an incredible thing.. the way of the sound source tracking is amazing. I hope I gave some help. Sorry about my English, far from the best...
@@bencedorok6484 when i play cold war with THX, it sounds muddy and unclear, but later on i figured out that cold war doesnt support THX spatial audio. So that is probably why it sounded like that XD
@@magana7009 Well, I play more with Tarkov. good thing is COD, Tarkov has trash sound system I think.... both are really far away from let's say BF... but In Tarkov I can tells you much better the way of the sound source with THX. Tarkov also dosen't support any THX but still tracking the sounds better. BTW RDR2 dose support THX and there cristal clear every thing. BTW in synapse shows you which game THX certified.

All depends if the sound card profile saves the settings. I cant test this since im only on pc, i would look on Reddit or contact Razer to get the answers

I believe its strictly on pc, since its software related, but its possible that it saves to the sound card. I cant test this since i dont have a ps4 anymore. Sorry i cant help much further than that. Try reaching through Reddit for answers or ask Razer helpline.

@@VEOSEEO just got my ps4 back! its not the pro, but a slim, i can update you after further testing. best to not worry about thx atm, as the software is bugged and confirmed by support. happens with beta software being tweaked, but ill update in the newest vid comment section soon. its uploading as we speak so keep an eye out!

@@BravenTyler i'm using the blackshark v2 pro. Every sound, that comes from the game, if its a voice or environmental sounds has enormous reverb. If i switch to environmental mode, the reverb or echo gets more. Maybe i should reinstall the drivers? Thank you for your help!

Which headset are you using? If the v2 wired, use Synapse on a computer to setup the EQ and thx profile, it saves to the sound card.

@@rainmakerhd6959 synapse is the software you see on this video, and it's by Razer. Yes it saves to the sound card to be used outside of the computer. It will work on ps4
@@rainmakerhd6959 you can try to test and see if the usb dongle will save the profile. Haven't been able to test the v2 pro recently, but you can test to see if it works on razer synapse after setting up the eq. Either way, the stereo sound on these headsets is top tier, so you won't be disappointed on ps4.

new video explains it, uploading now. but in simpler explanations: turn off thx spatial, make it blackshark v2/pro and use studio in game. with thx on if you want to try it, use boost low, since audio bug is still current.

Tab on top in thx shows auto and manual functionality. THX is currently bugged, so I suggest you leave it set to sound card or kraken mode on windows for now, newest video explains just this

@@fraudd.1611 3:20 shows the thx spatial tab. You'll see top left says spatial audio and it switches on or off, turn it on, and below it will be options, one says manual and you click that

@@fraudd.1611 that must mean that thx is not fully unlocked for that specific headset, also is it used with a sound card or a 3.5mm jack? That'll also dictate if it's fully there. No matter what, if you have a sound card you should get some version of thx, you just may not be able to utilize the special features for certain titles. Something I have to research again, since I only have the kraken ultimates stored away that I can look into. Some headsets do require pay to fully use thx spatial since it's a smaller budget headset

In audio settings in game, change to default communications device. Has been tested to fix in COD but other games unsure. My updated videos tell alot, look into them!
@@BravenTyler this seemed go work for me but I'm not sure if it's still supposed to sound better. Open the sound menu and right click the thx spatial audio playback device, click properties and go to advanced. From there untick the “Enable audio enhancements”

I have the Razer Blackshark v2 , and when i use THX Spatial Audio...on AUTO is ok ...but when i use the THX Competitive or THX Environment, i have this strange sound...like i am in a big hall..or bathroom...been searching for a fix...also contacted Razer support...is it normal to sound like that,....when i have the game in background everything sounds ok...but when i enter...everything sounds awfull..Bathroom mode activated :))) from game to youtube etc...

@@fredrik2043 its from windows, for me was, put USB sound card on surround in windows, and also another fix was, services.msc, search in that list for Windows audio services, right click and Restart.. and its working prefecy

@@DemonuTV Hey, on the competitive and environment thx modes, these two modes in particular are apparently not working like my BlackShark V2, because when I activate them in any compatible game the audio becomes a complete mess. The sound is totally distorted, without any direction of the sound effects, it has an echo sensation all the time, the volume decreases and you simply cannot use these modes for more than 2 minutes. I even formatted the PC and it didn't work. Could you explain in detail what I need to do to resolve this if I know? I'm from Brazil and I'm going to use a translator to understand your text, so I would be very grateful if I didn't use abbreviations.

I want a setting that can be used in general.
That's impossible, even with a casual headset that isn't changeable in frequencies won't be solid in every game. The best thing you could do for that is run a raised low EQ, and a very dim high EQ, but keep the sound profile as stereo, and not using Surround Sound. That is at least tuned better for footsteps and lowers cluttered highs, but it's still basic 2 channel stereo sound like majority of headsets out there. Still a good stereo headset, but these thrive past that with THX.

I copied ur settings and my sounds so muffled, along with that when I discord friends they sound extremely distant too
The distant issue is from thx comp mode. Turn it to custom. And everyone's ears are different, I would recommend lowering whatever EQ part is sounding muffled. Should clear it up and you should be good to go.

@@JohnDoe-pk5ev yes, the thx comp just broadens sound so you hear them from distance longer. They may fix the voice integration with them in future updates so test them when synapse updates.
@@JohnDoe-pk5ev if you like the crisp audio better, and less bass just lower the first 3 EQs from left to right, the reason why I bump up the bass is so I can hear the footsteps at farther distances. Competitively, it's not supposed to be about how clean the audio is to real life, it's to boost important audio for the fighting edge. Hope that helps
