They sound so different between the 2 games. Not even remotely the same. I wish they kept the light rifle. That is probably my favorite gun in the halo series. Absolutely deadly with that gun. Other than the CE magnum, carbine and battle rifle. I am a sucker for medium range rifles.
@@empire-classfirenationbatt2691ye in halo 4 it fired 3 shots like the BR if not scoped in and one single more powerful shot when scoped in, which IMO was cooler than halo 5's. Same for halo 4's boltshot, the overcharged shotgun was just cooler.
I don't exactly disagree but it is quite a numbing sound. I appreciate how the H5 version is more dynamic in gameplay and how that is reflected in the audio which makes a tangible difference on how you use the weapon.
The Suppressor is good for campaign but it’s dogwater in multiplayer. I love the light rifle. It’s comparable to a DMR but the qualities are awesome. The suppressor should comeback in halo but make it powerful enough to where the player base complains about it being too powerful.
Ngl Halo 4 was the first Halo game where I was looking for human weapons only, because the forerunner weapons were absolute garbage when dealing with prometheans
Every weapon in Heroic is effective, even the supressor. It just takes the proper use style and niche, also the needler just destroys the knights, the plasma pistol + precision weapon is also a good way to deal with them. The prometheans are easy as long as your skilled enough.
I prefer the H5 versions except for the incineration cannon. Don't get me wrong they needed to nerf the H4 version, I used to refer to it as the god cannon whenever I forgot it's name.
Just for in-universe reasons (fanon territory), I think combining both games' interpretations could work Boltshot - keep the Halo 4 sound and charged-up shot, but give it 30 shots per mag for the optional burst-fire mode Lightrifle - give it Halo 5 sound and Halo 4 functionality (I hated the zooming animation H5 gave it ngl) Suppressor - ... keep the homing bullets from Halo 5, but everything else is Halo 4... Scattershot - Halo 5 mechanics with Halo 4 sounds Binary rifle - Halo 4... Just Halo 4 (its sound in both games is meh tho) Incinerator - shoots like in Halo 4, but has the "energy" ammo gauge like in Halo 5 + requires to be charged to fire (akin to plasma pistol's EMP or the railgun)
I like the Halo 4 cutscene versions of the Forerunner weapons. Buuuut I guess they’d be too overpowered for the actual game. Head gets blown off from one light rifle shot 🤣
Halo 4 Boltshot: absolutely useless except for finishing off a weakened target with a headshot, or if you were within very close range with the charged shot. Halo 5 Boltshot: literally a pocket sized BR. Halo 4 Suppressor: overwhelming rate of fire, but spread is so wide it becomes wildly inaccurate at all but close range. Halo 5 Suppressor: lessened the rate of fire and spread, making the thing easier to control and more accurate at longer ranges. Halo 4 Lightrifle: first weapon in the franchise to have multiple firing modes, giving you different options for different situations. Halo 5 Lightrifle: flashier DMR clone, still effective but doesn’t really stand out. Halo 4 Scattershot: ricocheting shotgun that disintegrates its targets, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of this thing. Halo 5 Scattershot: mostly unchanged :). Halo 4 Binary Rifle: terrifying weapon that can one shot you no matter where it hits you, leaving nothing but a pile of ash. Even has three targeting lasers that let you know just how screwed you are in your final moments. Halo 5 Binary Rifle: Wish.com Focus Rifle. Halo 4 Incineration Cannon: I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds. Halo 5 Incineration Cannon: Wish.com Plasma Launcher that doesn’t even have the explosive clusters that made the IC so devastating. Halo 4 Pulse Grenade: fairly useless energy ball that is super easy to avoid. Halo 5 Splitter Grenade: handheld cluster bomb that creates an airborne minefield which obliterates anyone caught in it.

I love the light rifle. It’s like a slightly better version of the DMR.
The halo 4 lightrifle was one of my favourite for those headshots in multiplayer. Even added it to my load out over battle rifle or DMR at times.
@@empire-classfirenationbatt2691 it is a great gun.

The LR was actually more powerful when scoped in, giving it an interesting niche.
I miss the halo 4 shotgun, bolt shot and thr incineration cannon it looked/sounded so sickkk ahhh
The Binary Rifle was always my favourite of all of the Forerunner/Promethean weapons
I do like the sight picture and burst fire mode of the light rifle in H4 more, not gonna lie.
I liked it but going back I was shocked at how much more I prefer the H5 Lightrifle scope actually.
1:31 Better sfx than the one for Halo 5
I agree

@@Mikey_Storm Yeah i get what you mean, they feel natural "on the run" thanks to the sound effects in 5's weapons being less present
It sounds like the Pulse Rifle in Alien. Too bad the weapon is kinda dog water.
The Halo 4 Lightrifle sound is … paradisiac

Everything in Halo 4 sounded better than 5 the Sound effects in 4 were great.
Did anyone else feel like the suppressor in Halo 4 was absolutely useless in multiplayer?
They should bring it back with the halo 4 sound, and make it overpowered.
It was useless even in the campaign.
It was useless in higher difficulty campaign too.
It was pretty much meant to be a Promethean AR, like how all the other Promethean weapons are just Human weapons with cool designs.
@@Kisseyhersh123 But 4's AR was useful and the Sup was TRASH.
Ngl Halo 4 was the first Halo game where I was looking for human weapons only, because the forerunner weapons were absolute garbage when dealing with prometheans
Theyre more effective hitting critical points
The light rifle and bolt shot were great. The suppressor was a last resort weapon and sucked pretty bad unless up really close. The canon is OP.

The sounds effects were way better and unique in h4
Wow, you’re straight up DELUSIONAL bud 🤣 Halo 4 literally had ATROCIOUS sound design 🤣 The absolute WORST in any game 🤣 tf are you smoking 🤣🤣

I’m not going to miss any of these guns if they don’t appear in Infinite. Nice vid though.
These guns were unique and their design espectacular but because of toxic fanboys like you which still lives in 2007 it’s not in Halo Infinite, indeed
Actualy 343 have added them the stalker rifly is basicly a light rifle and thw shock rifle is a weaker but more mechanical binary rifle

Idk why, but I couldn’t stand any of the forerunner weapons in this game. Especially the incineration cannon.
Because you don’t like change. They are actually good once you learn them.
The Incineration Cannon and the Binary Rifle were amazing in Halo 4. The Suppressor sucked though.
