I wanted to let you know my wife’s 2010 is250c had the same issues. I rolled the dice on a 2010 ES350 amp for $112 off eBay different part number than the IS, works like a champ. Saved me about $250! Thanks dude!
Never used brake cleaner or carb cleaner on electrical components. You can use mass airflow sensor cleaner or there is electrical type cleaner because they don't leave residue on the components. Great video!
I hear your concern but you fail to understand this is a test situation. I would save never use brake cleaner for electronics that you do NOT want to damage. However in this case, it's PERFECTLY fine to use brake cleaner or any solution that would cause harm based on the fact that this was a TEST, the part was already damaged and a replacement part was already ordered. But I appreciate your concern 💯
Most Lexus amplifiers as they get older tend to have this problem. There is a company (High-Tech Electronics Services) in Southern California (Van Nuys) specializing in fixing these problems.
My controls still work and checked the fuses are good so I am guessing the amp is bad. There is a thumping sound right when I turn of the radio but after that no sound.
Yup! That is confirmation that your AMP is DOA. My AMP did the same with the thumping/pop sound when you turn it on and off and then eventually it died (no sound). Replacing it will resolve the problem but the Lexus IS250/350 AMP is expensive. You can purchase the alternative one and will be fine.

Hmm, sounds like the rear speakers could possibly blown. I would disconnect the speaker wire and temporary test the wire by connecting a "working" speaker to validate if you can hear sound. For example, you can disconnect a speaker up front and use the rear speaker wire to test for audio. If you do not want to go through the trouble of removing the door panel and speaker, just purchase a cheap speaker off Amazon to test the rear speaker wire connector for audio. If you do not hear audio then I would suspect that your AMP is not sending communication to the rear which the AMP may need to be replaced. You could also try to see if you can find a spare used AMP at your local junk yard but they are hard to find sense these AMP's are a hot ticket online. Hope you find your solution.
Lol yeah I've heard that some newer Lexus vehicles are still having this issue with the AMP. It could defiantly be just a bad location for the AMP which cause it to short due to moisture build up.
Brad good question. The car was not in a flood and this is a common problem for the IS250/IS350 due to poor ventilation for the AMP. It basically sits in the rear wheel well where moisture builds up which eventually causes the AMP motherboard to short. There are also newer Lexus that have experienced this issue due to improper ventilation.

Es350 amp 2008 worked great thank you saved us a lot of money
Do I take it you used an Amplifier from a 2008 ES350 to put into your IS250, and that worked? do they share the same plugs?

Is there an plug and play alternative for my GS450h 2008 year?
@@ZeeHK bro it’s not one the next thing to do is switch the whole sound system or buy another amp
I have a Lexus ES 350. Sound system sounds okay, but would be so much better if actual sound came out of the rear dash speakers.

Good deal. Hopefully this will resolve your issue.
Update?
Can you help me what do look up to buy a new amplifier for my 2010 Lexus is250
You would think that buying a Lexus, they'd not have issues with the radio!
Lol yeah I've heard that some newer Lexus vehicles are still having this issue with the AMP. It could defiantly be just a bad location for the AMP which cause it to short due to moisture build up.
You know what's sounds ridiculous, Lexus never address this issue so it also carry over to 2014 to currently modles
WOW, I was not aware of that. Honestly thought only the Lexus IS was affected.
OEM Auto Audio, Inc. in Manlius, NY repaired my amplifier.
Thanks for the info.
How much was the cost?

Checkout eBay and find the best lowest cost for a AMP. Search "LEXUS ES350 AMPLIFIER 86280-33150".
Is it possible that the car has been in a flood? I'm just wondering how the amp got so dirty.

Nope it’s a know defect car wash & rain will do it I’m buying my second amp
