Do you think its better to buy an older model Yamaha Aventage Atmos amp or this Sony AN 1000 model?

It depends on what you are looking for. Each brand I think have their own unique selling point and sometimes try to do the same thing better than another brand. I have never used the Yamaha but they seem to have some amazing features plus some of these older ones perform just as good as newer brands. I like Sony mainly because the enhancement options it offers, including the 360 sound mapping which is next level.

@@Vortex.Unwrapped.Official Yes, I have heard that the Sony 360 sound mapping is awesome.
Have you had any issues with the Sony AN 1000 model like overheating, humming sound and taking up to 1 or 2 minutes to start up once its powered on?

@@thatsentertainment5602 Yes. I've had experience with the humming sound and delayed power on. I did a video on how to possibly fix the humm sound, but I never investigated the delayed start up. Maybe I should! No overheating issues though

So if doing a full reset solved it, do you know when the issue started? Was it after a firmware update? Did you check the other 2 standy settings were Off as well, as per the manual "Saving Power" section? If not, perhaps it was the factory defaults Reset that reset these setting to Off for you? (if you only manually changed the "Standby Through" setting).

Why didn't you try turning Standby Through off before resetting. Resetting means you have to set your speakers up again.
