FUN FACT (even though you'll probably find this out while questing anyways): The area where Thrall and Garrosh had their brawl (or in lore it's called a Mak'gora) to the death is actually at the Stones of Prophecy in Nagrand. For us it was where Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream met for the first time. Thrall kills Garrosh Hellscream in the place where they started it all.
2014: Looks like Yrel will be a major character in the future 2019: She ends up a genocidal fanatic of the Light, and we must rescue the orcs from her grasp
Blackhand is a freaking beast and is pretty much made of fire so of course he lived. As you said Yrel had to be saved. And from where Durotan was lying it seemed he was far enough away that the blast critically injured him rather than kill him.
It was a joke bro, I wasn't expecting Blackhand to die from fire. Like Deathwing would feel a firemage's pyroblast lorewise lol :P Maybe a bad joke, but it was a joke.
I feel the same way. I really hope that they give him a warrior's burial, he might've been a monster, but he was a hero of the horde and a warchief. If not for the man. Then at least for the titles he once bore.
When He Says This When he was all sad in nagrand as a kid he heard of thrall as some badass like his father and wanted to join him , when he met him and saw him he was disappointed and wasnt what he thought he was.
I actually thought Garrosh made an excellent Warchief. If you checked out some of the quests where a few times the story had him getting very upset at innocents getting killed. And his suspicions against the Undead were certainly well founded if you leveled an undead from 1-30 you would know he was right not to trust her. If he had not went overboard in Pandaria with the power in the final instance, I would have said the charges against him were unfounded. For a character that was supposed to be so bad, he actually had a lot of wisdom and compassion for the innocent (Ashenvale and Stonetalon mountains).
***** agreed, which is one of the reasons i believe that Garrosh deserves some sort of honorable burial, or at least a burial somewhere in Nagrand together with Grom Hellscream by the time he dies (or near the grave of our Grom Hellscream) so that he can rest in peace as a warrior and a Hellscream
***** Garrosh prided the OLD Orcish ways, and also was a Bbigot to other races that were not Orcs. Thrall represents the Modern Orc ways he created once they were forced to stay on Azeroth. Both make great Warchiefs depending on time they exist in. Garrosh thought with an outdated attitude, that's why he failed.
Shiryu Rain You seem to misunderstand the true meaning of "strength". Garrosh made the same mistake, preferring to rely on raw, primitive brutality... and he got what he deserved.
Skull800, it seems you too misunderstand "strength". True strength - the one that gives you the ability to lead, to inspire, to rule - is not the strength of muscles. It's not the strength of roaring out orders. A leader's true strength comes from his spirit and his maturity. Garrosh, despite become powerful and badass in combat, is still the same self-pitying, miserable kid that he was back in Garadar. He has not matured one bit. He believes that throwing a tantrum and killing off opposition will earn him acceptance... but all it got him was more and more enemies. Thrall's lack of martial prowess does not make him weak. Let me remind you that he was a formidable warrior in his time. He *chose* the path of peace and balance, and matured in doing so. His power does not hide in elemental magic, but in the spiritual conviction. Otherwise, he would have crushed Garrosh with magic from the very start, instead of facing off against him face to face. Look at that fight. It was only once Garrosh started flaunting his brutal, primitive strength that Thrall resorted to his shamanistic powers. It was only when Garrosh refused to accept his shortcomings and instead started shifting blame to Thrall, that Thrall realized Garrosh was beyond redemption.
The Blackhand cinematic was def my favorite. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Maraad... how?" "In the light... we are one." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "What do you want, little girl?" "Your head." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Such arrogance to believe that you alone could defeat me." "Together." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You will all die!" "Just you." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm saddened that so many heroic characters and even major villains have already been killed off in these cinematics and heroics that have already been released. Without Maraad and especially Velen, we are gonna have alot of trouble fighting off the legion when they return to azeroth.
For anyone that's confused. This is an alternate timeline, Grom (Large orc holding axe) is garroshes father in the normal story he drinks the blood and becomes stronger but slaves to the fel energy. So in this timeline garrosh let's his father know of what will come of the orcs if he were to drink. So Grom refuses kills mannaroth with the help of his son (who actually isn't born yet) and become the true horde who fight to conquer not only draenor but azeroth. Which is where WOD will take place defending azeroth against the iron horde.
Amorian Duranin I've been hoping to face off against Azshara for years, though I think it would be better as one of the last expansion packs before the game ends. With her power rivalling Sargeras himself and being the servant of an old god, she'd be the second ultimate end game boss. For the final expansion, I'd love to face off against the Titans themselves and defend Azeroth against their attempts to "reboot" the world.
@@wastedviking6280 he never asked to be a warchief in the first place. It is an asshole move to put such a responsibility on someone's shoulders and then blame him for doing a bad job.
He never wanted to become a warchief, thrall should have put Saurfang in charge and not him, he was not ready, he should have remained a warsong overlord.
They really fucked us over with this whole time travel bullshit. No, that wasn't our Velen that died. That was their Velen. And the Maraad, that was also their Maraad. I think. Wait, so who is our Maraad? And which Yrel is that? Do we even have our own Yrel? Fuck that.
whoopdeedoodude You're only confused because you're watching this out of context of the quest storylines. Which I'm sure you'll be reading as you quest. RIGHT? For reference, it's THEIR Velen, it's OUR Maraad. There is no "their" Maraad, and there is no "our" Y'rel, just as there is no "their" Garrosh.
Adrián Acevedo Mak'gora is a duel, a duel of honour. It's even Thrall who provoked the Mak'gora, and he thought he could win fairly, but instead he cheated after his face was in dirt just like a typical kid that lost a 1vs1 fight. Sure Thrall intended to kill Garrosh, but he still cheated in the duel, and this actually made Garrosh won the fight as a true Orc.
Well garrosh has a point, Thrall made him Warchief and just left him without guidance ... so he ruled like in the "glory" days of the horde which thrall talked about : / also: High Respect to the voice actor, garrosh really sounds like he was going to cry at a moment! :D
Dude fucking, I almost cried at that scene.. shit. Those last few lines from Garrosh hurt. He did a lot of questionable stuff but I mean yeah Thrall just kind of threw him out into the fray. Thrall was the one that picked him up from Nagrand where he was pouting.
Stephanie Mcknight can you really blame him though? I mean just looked at what happened in Northrend. Garrosh was put in charge and was doing a really good job then the Forsaken betray him, the Alliance blames him for the Forsaken attack, leaving Garrosh with a real bad taste in his mouth about the Alliance and everyone else who wasn't an orc or didn't unquestionably stand with him. All he did, he did to restore the Horde. His intentions were noble, sadly the most evil of deeds are born from noble intentions taken too far... the whole thing is really tragic.
SuperRavensblood especially because he swore he will never be like his corrupted father but ended like him anyways, just not by demons but by an Old God : /
There is a reason why blizzard uses those lines for garrosh.....and i have pretty good speculation on why they did that.....also ever since garrosh died thrall well he kinda MIA
Well, he didnt want to be warchief, but Thrall kinda forced him into becoming one. Then, after some missunderstandings (Cairne's death and stuff) all other Horde leader kinda hates him and he felt kinda like... out... He had kinda like a reason to do all that he did.
Literally any other person would not have fucked up as much as he did. He never relied on anyone else, he used threats over diplomacy and he didn't work together with the other leaders at ALL. Also, ffs, seriously? Are you people all mentally retarded? Garrosh is OLDER than Thrall. This isn't the 'OMG this poor young guy was given too much power by this older, more experienced guy!'. Thrall had more responsibility when he was even younger and managed to do the right thing. The mentality of the person is essential in determining the outcome.
Nathrezim0 Yep, youre right, any other wouldnt have fucked it up as much as him. Thats why letting him as warchief was a big mistake. A big mistake that Thrall made. And he didnt rely on anyone neither anyone relied on him. He felt quite alone.
i think the most Emotional was when Maraad sacrificed himself to save Yrel... ''In the light... we are one'' He saved her with the last power of the light...and redeemed himself He didn't save the refugee's But he did save Yrel P.S The Electric Chair thing Thrall did was awesome Let's all thank Garrosh for letting Thrall reunite with his old pops Also Velen(Our Timeline)did like nothing...i thought Draenei we're so keen on going back to Draenor... I guess not You know what is the best Heroic moment? 2:16 Just watch how he kills the assholes in his endless Bloodlust... 2:36 he's got plate armor....you can't kill him idiot :P 2:43 LOK'TAR!!!!!
Michael Lansberg Garrosh's death hit me hard as well. He is a sad story of a child who never matured. He was given mantle of Warchief, a responsibility too great for him to handle. Anyone who disagreed with him just made him go into a tantrum and pushed everyone away. Garrosh's very last words is blaming Thrall for all his actions. It is sad cause Garrosh could have been different if he never was Warchief to begin with and had time to grow.
It's so infuriating that they had all this wonderful stuff while leveling, and then just completely and utterly gave up on the rest of the expansion. What a shame.
***** Well I think there were situations where shamans and warlocks were defeated by a warrior. Or how to say it, someone who doesn't use spells and similiar stuff. It all depends on the character and how experienced they are.
So it's been said a few times by now so I figured I'd share it with you guys who haven't seen this yet. After we get to Draenor we basically free Gul'dan, Teron'gor and Cho'gall since they were bound and are forcing to keep the Dark Portal open in this "timeline". After we free them they all go in portals and we don't see them again for a while. Teron'gor we find in Auchindoun but when we defeat him he jumps off the platform. So we have no clue if he's dead (he most likely isn't though). During all of this with Garrosh and Thrall and all the other questing around Draenor the only thing we end up figuring out is during the legendary quest line we have absolutely no clue where Gul'dan and Cho'gall are at. Ner'zhul is going about the dark star and using it to kill everything and then he goes to Aunchindoun as well. We know Blackhand and Kor'gath are in raids, Durotan we obviously meet in Frostfire Ridge, and Nerzhul as mentioned is in Auchindoun. But what are Grommash, Gul'dan and Kilrogg all doing? When we arrive on Draenor and the portal is closed down after we save those 3 guys we're chased out of Tanaan jungle (and you'll figure this out when you play but you actually can not go back into Tanaan jungle yet.. it's restricted off which is probably why flying isn't allowed at the moment). We can assume that Kilrogg is helping Grom since Kilrogg's clan is in Tanaan jungle anyways. We do know arriving there that they are constructing something. A sort of... fortress.. Think back to Outland and the original lore. What was the fortress that was used sort of as a base for the Orc's onslaught into Azeroth? Guessed it yet? You could say it's a sort of... citadel. We also don't know what the blood of Mannoroth is still doing up there in the Throne of Kil'jaeden (or whatever it's named in Draenor, this is just what it is named in Outland in the "future"). Demons are already invading Shattrath when we get to Draenor so there's that. The Legion is doing something that's all we know for sure. Anyways this went way off track but I'm willing to bet that since Gul'dan is missing and we don't know for sure where he's at that he's probably still experimenting with Death Knights. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Teron'gor ends up still becoming Teron Gorefiend anyways alongside with Garrosh. Who also knows... the Death Knights were Gul'dan's way of kind of coming back into the "Horde" and not being killed. He could show this to Grommash (who might be sickened but who knows. We don't even really know if Garrosh ever told him that he was his son anyways) and end up being a boss in that Citadel. This part could or could not happen though. (shortened version): I strongly believe something with the blood of Mannoroth still on the Throne of Kil'jaeden as far as the legion is going to happen, Gul'dan still using DK's and resurrecting Garrosh and Hellfire Citadel ( *cough* ) ending up becoming a raid.
Although I agree partly with some of the comments about Thrall leaving Garrosh to pick up the pieces, it was Garrosh's responsibility to keep the spirit of Horde (the family if you like) intact through honour and unity, although he may not have been 'ready', he like so many others took the quick and easy path to obtaining what he wanted. Rather than unite the horde he corrupted it and divided it, instead of moping about being left in charge, he should of risen as the strong leader he was capable of being, rather than blaming his shitty circumstances on anyone but himself - this is not the sign of a benevolent leader, that's the sign of an insecure & dangerous one. We saw a glimpse of his true potential in Cataclysm where for a second he understood Thralls message of honour, but eventually when the going got tough he was overshadowed by his insecurity to be as great as his father by any means necessary. It's a shame as Thrall said he made his own destiny- you reap what you sow, he oppressed his own Horde and eventually rejected everything Thrall (therefore the modern Horde) stood for in favour of his own selfish view. So although I look at this cinematic differently I still feel emotional seeing the death of Garrosh, seeing him lying there at the end feels me with sadness - Garrosh in my mind no doubt and no doubt in Thralls had the potential to of been greater than even himself had he of made the right choices.
The Garrosh death scene can definitely spark some Garrosh sympathy. Thrall did kind of abandon him to go to the maelstrom kinda like,"K I'm leaving now bai.". And I believe that Garrosh did do what he thought was right for the Horde. Though he may have gone a liiiiittle off the deep end at the end, he did the best he could. RIP in Peace Garrosh you did a thing once.
Thrall shouldn't have left him in charge, but it's kind of hard to judge isn't it? Thrall was needed to save the world from blowing up it's kinda hard to step away from that, though maybe he should have come back sooner. And on Garrosh I constantly go back and fourth with the whole "he did what he thought was best for the Horde" angle. Maybe in his mind, but when considering how badly he treated all the non-Orc races of the Horde including the Darkspear trolls and Tauren who showed nothing but unwavering loyalty to the new Horde since its beginnings it makes it a little harder for me to feel too much sympathy because it makes me wonder just...what he thought was best for the Horde to begin with. Whatever it was it obviously didn't involve anything but Orcs. He shouldn't have been left in charge to begin with he obviously wasn't ready, but I really think it's arguable whether he really did what he thought was best for the Horde because at times it seemed more like he just wanted to turn the Horde into what HE wanted it to be at any cost.
And so ends the Garrosh Trilogy of WoW, i call Vanilla-TBC-WOTLK as the Arthas Trilogy, because so many things were connected to Arthas, the Plaguelands, the sight of devastation in the Blood Elf Starter Zone, and the WOTLK expansion itself. while Cata-MoP-WOD is the Garrosh Trilogy, with Garrosh rising as a Warchief, then as a warmongering despot, and finally a underling to what could've been his own father, only to die in this expansion, much like Arthas died in WotLK. I wonder if the principal antagonist in the next three expansion will be Wrathion given how underhanded he became since his birth.
I don't know why people blame Thrall. He was right. Garrosh chose to do shitty things and justify it. Nobody made Garrosh do anything. He was already messed up to begin with if he was willing to commit such crimes. Sometimes upbringings can warp people and you do have people that can go through similar things and not all turn into lunatics. Depends on the person.
I am Saurfang. Brother of Broxigar. You know me to be the Supreme Commander of the Might of Kalimdor. An orc - a true orc warrior - wishes for one thing: To die in the glory of battle against a hated enemy. Some of you have fought in battles. Peace has been with us for many years. Many years we sat idle but many years we battled. In those years - where strife the land and Legion and Scourge sacked our homes, killed our families - these insects dwelled beneath us. Beneath our homes - waiting. Waiting to crush the life from our little ones. To slay all in their path. This they do for their god. And for our gods? We defend. We stand. We show that as one. United. We destroy. Their god will fall. To die today, on this field of battle, is to die an orcish death. To die today is to die for our little ones. Our old ones. Our... loved ones. Would any of you deny yourselves such a death? Such an honor?" -High Overlord Saurfang addressing the Might of Kalimdor
*High Overlord Saurfang says:* So the prodigal son has spoken! Your father's blood runs strong in you, Hellscream. Impatient as always... Impatient and reckless. You rush headlong into all-out war without a thought of the consequences. *Garrosh Hellscream says:* Do not speak to me of consequences, old one. *High Overlord Saurfang says:* I drank of the same blood your father did, Garrosh. Mannoroth's cursed venom pumped through my veins as well. I drove my weapons into the bodies and minds of my enemies. And while Grom died a glorious death - freeing us all from the blood curse - he could not wipe away the terrible memory of our past. His act could not erase the horrors we committed. The winter after the curse was lifted, hundreds of veteran orcs like me were lost to despair. Our minds were finally free, yes... Free to relive all of the unthinkable acts that we had performed under the Legion's influence. I think it was the sounds of the draenei children that unnerved most of them... You never forget... Have you ever been to Jaggedswine Farm? When the swine are of age for the slaughter... It's that sound. The sound of the swine being killed... It resonates the loudest. Those are hard times for us older veterans. *Garrosh Hellscream says:* But surely you cannot think that those children were born into innocence? They would have grown up and taken arms against us! *High Overlord Saurfang says:* I am not speaking solely of the children of our enemies... I won't let you take us down that dark path again, young Hellscream. I'll kill you myself before that day comes... *Garrosh Hellscream says:* How have you managed to survive for so long, Saurfang? Not fallen victim to your own memories? *High Overlord Saurfang says:* I don't eat pork...
someone else who understands saurfang. he is such a bad-ass. i remember seeing the alliance go for the side entrance cause if they went in the front saurfang would eat them for breakfast.
Spoiler alert: Did anyone else get that mental feeling when Ner'Zhul summoned the Dark Star?: Well, there he is, the original form of what would be the Lich King.
Thank god we are done with Garrosh for real this time. Kudos to Thrall for cleaning up his biggest mistake in life. I thought he was gonna go soft but nope lit that sorry ass like a Christmas tree.
Does anyone else feel this expansion was more about the Draenei and their "second chance" more than the orcs and their ancestry? Playing both I felt more emotionally invested in the plot of the Draenei than that of the Orcs.
I actually think wod was my favourite expansion. Yes the content drought was a nightmare. But it had so much potential and the story telling and cinematics had feel and passion behind them. The original ideas for the garrison system: seeing your follows and troops doing missions in the world would have been amazing. The city of karabor being available etc. could have been amazing, I wonder what went wrong.
That's the thing with blizzard, they always make you feel remorse for the end bosses, Kael'thas was once a prince and did everything to save his people, Illidan's story is really sad too between Malfurion and Tyrande, Arthas is the same thing and now garrosh, except Deathwing was also once the aspect of earth he was manipulated.
I will never understand why Thrall chose Garrosh over Vol'jin or Cairn Bloodhoof, both would have been excellent choices. They were more experienced for leadership, yes Garrosh was a hero but still that doesn't make him the most trustworthy candidate. I do feel bad for Garrosh in the end. Thrall really did leave a shitty plate for Garrosh.
There is a reason why blizzard did that and i have a really good speculation on why. Also i suspected that ever since garrosh dies thrall has been sort of MiA throught out the remaining zones.....he might have a drama talk with grommash who knows....
fuck green jesus - honestly i don´t mind that Garrosh was ended, but THIS doens´t felt like a "worthy" death for him, not like a warriors death - feels like Thrall "cheated" imo "YOU made me warchief" - "YOU left me, to pick up YOUR pieces"...
On the other hand, it does close out Garrosh's story nicely by ending it where it began. It started with Thrall telling him, effectively, to man up and look to his own deeds and accomplishments instead of focusing on what others have done. And it ends the *EXACT SAME WAY*... in the exact same place.
Personally, for him to have a "warriors death" he would have to be bested by a warrior. Aside from Varian, I cannot think of any straight up warrior that could go toe to toe with Garrosh... And we've already seen that he would rather see Garrosh on trial. He died in a Mok'gora he agreed to. That is as honorable of a death that someone like Garrosh could receive.
***** I don't think Garrosh is dead yet. They could potentially bring him back. During the assault on Orgrimmar, Sylvannas offered to resurrect blood elf troops which means she can resurrect other races including orcs which might mean she could resurrect Garrosh. She even offered to defend him in trial which means she implies she needs him for something bigger. She also has a distaste for Vol'Jin which means she might be looking to over throw him. Besides that, it looks to me like Garrosh's hand move slightly at the end so he may still be alive.
You feel like Thrall cheated? He is a shaman he is gonna have to use the elementals and stuff, Thrall kicked his butt, but he left Garrosh with nothing really.
Maybe she returns with the others to our timeline? Or maybe the two timelines remain... parallel? I would seriously have a rage fit if she died, i didn't even get to play WoD but i already love this character. I do hope they find a way around to keep her.
Don't you find it simply epic how Orcs and Draenei, the two races that held burning grudges each against the other, fight here extremely well side by side? Maraad and Thrall, damn, kickass team. Yrel and Durotan, speechless, that was such a beautiful moment.
It feels sad though, no matter what side was right, Garrosh was still Grom's son. The good Grom, best friend to Thrall. How could he kill him. After Grom left, it was Thrall's responsibility to make Garrosh into something.
karankenZ I'm sure that even as the last boss of Warlords of Draenor. He will turn good in the end. Grom is my all-time favourite lore champion, but I'm glad his misbegotten son got what he deserved. :)
I hear this often, and someone brought up a great point that a person can be raised well...but still end up robbing a bank. He/she could blame their parents for it, but at the end of the day they were the ones that made the choice. Thing is that it's definitely debatable whether or not Thrall should have made Garrosh Warchief to begin with, as it was obviously out of respect to Grom more than logic since Garrosh obviously lacked the wisdom and even experience with the current age Azeroth to lead a multi race Horde...Garrosh was still an adult and you can't necessarily blame Thrall for everything Garrosh has done, including mistreat the non-Orc horde races, betray the honored trust of Thrall's closest companions who all made the current Horde possible, soured relations that it took the Horde years to accomplish just to name a few things. He made all those decisions, so while it can definitely be said that Thrall shouldn't have made someone so obviously not ready Warchief yet, I can't really feel sympathy for Garrosh blaming him for all of his actions as they were all his own.
karankenZ Thrall tried. In the end, Garrosh did choose his own path. He rejected every iota of wisdom that anyone tried to give him. Thrall, Saurfang, Cairne, Vol'jin, Taran Zhu. All tried to warn him off his path of hatred and war, but Garrosh chose to ignore them. In the end, there is no one to blame but himself.
While I enjoy the cinematics for WoW, I can't help but notice the lack of player participation. That's why I usually play SW:TOR now because of how immersive and story-changing the players choices are. Just my two cents.
Justin Crawford It's called the "Draco in leather pants syndrome". No matter how much of a douche the bad guy is, some people choose to remain blind to his dickery.
Ummm, right. Sorry, but I'm not going to discuss warchief policies with a person who can't write coherently nor refrain from insulting his opponents. Try again, maybe sounding less like Garrosh throwing a tantrum. Oh, wait.
Look at my name. Then look at your comment. Then look at my name again. Check my G+ profile. Where am I from? I'm from Poland, where people don't speak English as a native language. Sadly, English isn't your native language either, but you could speak it as well as I do if you only made an effort. You could also make an effort to be offensive in a witty and veiled way, which you are not. I'm on a Brewfest Kodo.
Mind communicating in a language which regular people can understand? I tried to find info on what you just said, but could only find some League of Legends nonsense.
Even though Warlords of Draenor has so far been somewhat of a failure due to the lack of content and unbalances in the game itself, I believe that the actual game experience and immersion has so far been the best of any WoW expansion. They really outdid themselves with the world environment, story lines, and these beautiful cinematics. Bravo...
Why didn't Thrall help Drek'Thar in the 2nd cinematic? He's a pretty powerful Shaman and can control elements lol, he was just standing there dumbfounded.
Alijamaru He had said during the fight at the portal when you first arrive that the elements here were unfamiliar to him and his power was quickly fading. Presumably, after he meets Drek'Thar he gets some experience in old-school Orcish shamanism and becomes more acquainted with the elements on Draenor, leading to his victory over Garrosh.
+L. Reptiler I'd assume not simply because the Burning Legion were using the Orcs to soften up Azeroth. Thrall spent most of his life outside of Dreanor so i'm not all to shocked he it took him awhile to get reasserted there, but it doesn't make sense if you play a Mage. Thrall
I think this is all going to end with Gul'dan turning out to be the main threat, summoning the full force of the Burning Legion into Draenor. Hellscream realizes his mistakes and turns the Iron Horde against the Legion, with the Horde, Alliance and Iron Horde uniting against the far more dangerous threat, lead by Kil'jaeden.
ZanathKariashi Jesus Christ, they're really that predictable and made Grom have Burning Crusade syndrome. So he's the 'Final' raid boss (Like illidan) but then SUDDENLY DEMONS and kil'jaeden/Archimond is the true final boss in Draenor!Sunwell. Who writes for Blizzard again so I can knock them upside the head with a book? Also I don't play the game anymore, just have a curiosity where the story has been going since I left.
Blizzards cinematics and storylines just get better and better. There are no other games or movies I get more into, than World of Warcraft. I get goosebumps so badly.
So.... Thrall took down Deathwing.....and he just killed Garrosh......so.....what..in the LIVING FUCK....have we been doing for the last two god damn years!??!! Whats next? Who else will Metzen's lovechild own? We didn''t even REALLY kill arthas. If not for terenas we would have been rekt! BADLY! Seriously Blizzard?! is it that hard to give us an epic and awesome final battle like Illidan?!
+Bieniuification I've only played Warcraft 3 and i'm just getting into wow but I'm a Thrall fan, can't say much about Grom, didn't play Warcraft 2 but Thrall was taking a people who were wronged and was making a civilization. He showed the rest of the world that the species of the Horde weren't brainless monsters, but people. Garrosh seemingly cracked under the pressure of War Chief using ineffective Logic at first. How do I keep the Horde safe? By destroying everything that can harm it. Ok that's...kind of fair, I can see the reasoning behind that. What do I do when the horde has a different view? Go mad and become a super racist. WHAT!?!?!
SuperKnalxz Grey There ware so many other options than Garrosh did. He's complete scumbag and selfish, he did everything for his own, not for the horde.
That BIGguy Yep, he sacrificed his hand to the Heart of the Mountain to gain power over the Earth, hence why the Blackrock are the only clan capable of smelting Blackrock Ore :D
Thanks for putting this here for us lore-nerds. But for the love of all that is holy, can you move the damn mouse to the right edge of the screen or something in the future?
Garrosh was a genocidal maniac who destroyed Theramore. Sylvanas may have decimated Southshore in Cataclysm all on her own, but she still did it under Garrosh's rule; so we can say he was responsible for Horde expansion in Southern Lordaeron by Forsaken biological warfare as well. Besides, I'm sure you fought Garrosh in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid and know how he used the dark shaman to play dirty and nullify Thrall's powers (and that should've ruled out shaman-class toons from the raid as well when you think about it). So it makes sense that Thrall would kill Garrosh with the very powers that Garrosh repressed in a previous battle. The punishment fits Garrosh's many crimes against the races of Azeroth and Draenor. That's how I see it.
I was ok with Garrosh in cataclysm. He at least -tried- to be honorable. He punished the one commander for nuking that night elf nursery or whatever it was in Stonetalon and he told Sylvanas not to use the plague in Gilneas. I can't hold Sylvanas' crimes against Garrosh. Everything he did after Theramore is 100% on him and there was nothing honorable about Theramore. He even killed part of his army in that blast.
Fast Donny 316 The Dark Lady isn't innocent, we know that she's pure evil. She even decimated the Worgen's home and used illegal biological weapons despite Garrosh's orders not to do so.
Now that I remember the worgen leveling path, that's spot on. Still, Garrosh's actions on Pandaria were just as reprehensible when he unleashed Y'Shaarj and the remaining sha.
Horus and Emperor were basically a copy and paste from the Bible with the relationship between Jesus and Judas. (It's a pretty widely used plot inspiration that book) I will give that the original Warcraft did start out as a Warhammer game before they canceled the rights half way through development, hence the orcs being aesthetically identical, in addition to the Zerg being Tyranids and the Protoss having Eldar similarities. Now as for Diablo, that has nothing to do with Games Workshop, I mean that game rather literally uses the Bible as inspiration, what with being all about hell and heaven and such. (Main difference is the primary antagonists are literal demons from hell, and not eldritch abominations made of emotions)
I liked the people who sacrificed themselves for others. Also, it`s nice seeing members of the Alliance and the original Horde working together...even if time is slightly out of whack.
There are two wolves fighting in us at all times: One is Weakness, and the other is Strength. Their weapons are many, and their success will lead you down different paths. Who you feed determines who will win. Or so it goes. Nagrand showed us that a Strong Wolf can fail... But know this: It took a Traitor and an Oathbreaker to bring him down. Even when you are just and right and strong, you may yet fail to your enemies own. This does not lessen the glory, though, but heightens it.
I keep trying to move the bloody mouse!
Argos Morse For reals. Other than that one glaring annoyance, this was a perfect upload
FUN FACT (even though you'll probably find this out while questing anyways):
The area where Thrall and Garrosh had their brawl (or in lore it's called a Mak'gora) to the death is actually at the Stones of Prophecy in Nagrand. For us it was where Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream met for the first time. Thrall kills Garrosh Hellscream in the place where they started it all.
Fuck.. If people thought Garrosh was tough then wait until they stand before daddy Hellscream. Grommash is the very definition of Warchief.
The Aristocrat
Orgrim was actually more like a puppet.
grommash was the one and only true warchief. eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/lore/savage-world/lords-of-war/#episode-2

ᵂᴴᴼ ᶜᵃʳᵉˢ? Broxigar is canon. If you're able to wound a Titan then you're probably fucking God-like.
ConorChaos The axe he used was forged by a demigod, so in a way he kind of was god-like.
I love the emotion in Garrosh's voice when he was fighting thrall, it showed how he felt towards all that had happened up until his last moment
i love that voice actor so much
It always reminded me of Kung Fu Panda where Tai Lung is fighting Shifu.

Gotcha sorry. Hard to tell sometimes haha :)
of course blackhand survived. the dude was like a walking inferno.

YOU...FAILED...ME!
Even though garrosh is as big a hothead as his father i kinda felt sorry for him
r.i.p Warchief!!!
Dainn Greywall agree
Warlords of Draenor may have lacked content, but the leveling experience from 90 to 100, was amazing.
I concur, though it does not pardon the lack of content aha
Agree so much!
agree🎉
For sure. I loved the leveling in Draenor. The endgame... not so much.

To be fair, it's quite a sexy cursor.
***** Yep. Me too. Every minute i had to remind myself that this is NOT my cursor -.-
Broken eyes see the cursor.
Garrosh was whooping Thrall so he had to run to his Shaman ways to win
Garrosh was a true warchief
Not even necessarily by orcish ways. Mak'goras are meant for you to use your strengths and were probably designed for warriors and shamans on Draenor.
***** A shamans strength derives from the elements.

The death of maraad remind me the death of optimis prime G1 animated movie
I'm saddened that so many heroic characters and even major villains have already been killed off in these cinematics and heroics that have already been released. Without Maraad and especially Velen, we are gonna have alot of trouble fighting off the legion when they return to azeroth.
Toxic Gamez Our Velen is all right though, just chilling in the Exodar. It was the alternate Velen that sacrificed himself to purify K'ara.
Pumbli yeah just found that out a couple days ago haha
Hellscream Thrall (and as optional Y'rel) are more than enough.
Done haha
Krucial then Vol'jin and Varian get killed...
I have a feeling that while we're all in dreanor, the real world is going to find out that the new lich king has awoken.. oh boy.
But thats impossible the Lich King is Bolvar and his spirit will forever remain unbroken.
kendrick warren Bolvar could be the new lich king, it's there in plain sight.
im hoping for a Dark below expansion with Azshara and her naga
I feel bad for Garrosh :/

They really fucked us over with this whole time travel bullshit. No, that wasn't our Velen that died. That was their Velen. And the Maraad, that was also their Maraad. I think. Wait, so who is our Maraad? And which Yrel is that? Do we even have our own Yrel?
Fuck that.
your Velen your Maraad and we did not have are own Yrel well till now
Their velen our Maraad
ThePetardaProduction how do you link that to horde????

whoopdeedoodude You're only confused because you're watching this out of context of the quest storylines.
Which I'm sure you'll be reading as you quest. RIGHT?
For reference, it's THEIR Velen, it's OUR Maraad. There is no "their" Maraad, and there is no "our" Y'rel, just as there is no "their" Garrosh.
The dialogue between Thrall and Garrosh during their fight somehow reminds me of Anakins and Obi Wans fight in episode 3!
Haha :D well me too
Garrosh: "You underestimate my POWER!"
Thrall: *lightning into face*
Thrall to his grandchildren: "And that how i dealt with this bodybuilder... go to sleep now."
Thrall grandchildren: "So.... you pull out guns and shoot him in a fist fight ? ಠ_ಠ "
"YOU WILL ALL DIE!"
"just you..."
FUCKING EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thrall is such a traitor to the Orcish tradition. He killed Garrosh in such an embarrassing and unfair way.
Indeed... he cowardly used the elements when he lost the fight.
Adrián Acevedo Shamans are there to guide the Orcs to the right path, not to cheat in a traditional fair duel.
SilenceStabber Exactly. Thrall showed no strength nor honor in this battle.
Adrián Acevedo Mak'gora is a duel, a duel of honour. It's even Thrall who provoked the Mak'gora, and he thought he could win fairly, but instead he cheated after his face was in dirt just like a typical kid that lost a 1vs1 fight. Sure Thrall intended to kill Garrosh, but he still cheated in the duel, and this actually made Garrosh won the fight as a true Orc.
...because the Iron Horde is a justified movement and Garrosh did nothing wrong. We as players in this game have fought against the wrong enemy.
Garrosh forgot that warriors are shit in PvP with no healer
The feels between garrosh and thrall though
"You never had the strength of a true warrior"
"BUT I HAVE HAX"
Holy shit the last one is so damn epic, an orc holding a draeneï weapon and a draeneï hoding durotan's axe, that's what this expansion is all about!
SuperRavensblood I have always said that as well.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions,as they say.
Other than the garrison cinematics this was amazing with garrosh dead its sorta like the end of a era
yeah it really does. a one year era with SoO.
+That BIGguy been so long since i watched this lol your right soo lasted way to long lol
Well Thrall is as bad as Gul'Dan was in the Warcraft movie,he cheated in the Mak'gora
The rules aren't set in stone, it can vary based on the challenge.
I've never seen the 1 weapon limit change, and each element is pretty much like an extra weapon, so he had like 6 weapons that match.
He felt quite alone.
wow... garroshs death hit me more than i thought... R.I.P Garrosh
i think the most Emotional was when Maraad sacrificed himself to save Yrel...
''In the light... we are one''

He didn't save the refugee's
But he did save Yrel
P.S The Electric Chair thing Thrall did was awesome

Michael Lansberg Garrosh's death hit me hard as well. He is a sad story of a child who never matured. He was given mantle of Warchief, a responsibility too great for him to handle. Anyone who disagreed with him just made him go into a tantrum and pushed everyone away. Garrosh's very last words is blaming Thrall for all his actions. It is sad cause Garrosh could have been different if he never was Warchief to begin with and had time to grow.

*****
Well I think there were situations where shamans and warlocks were defeated by a warrior. Or how to say it, someone who doesn't use spells and similiar stuff. It all depends on the character and how experienced they are.
Green jesus doesn't turn the other cheek
I think the important thing to remember is that he was most likely being whispered to by Y'shaarj as soon as he came onto the island.
I miss Mists of Pandaria it was such a good expansion :/

I remember the first time I saw these cinematics in-game, and I still get the same goosebumps now as I did then. Lok'tar ogar, Ga'nar.
Such an honor?"
-High Overlord Saurfang addressing the Might of Kalimdor
Man, this expansion history is AWESOME!!! Thanks for the video!!
Thank god we are done with Garrosh for real this time. Kudos to Thrall for cleaning up his biggest mistake in life. I thought he was gonna go soft but nope lit that sorry ass like a Christmas tree.
LOK'TAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they made an animated series in this style and with this degree of quality I would totally watch it! And I'm not even a WoW-player ...
Does anyone else feel this expansion was more about the Draenei and their "second chance" more than the orcs and their ancestry? Playing both I felt more emotionally invested in the plot of the Draenei than that of the Orcs.
Your mouse pointer freaked me out for a moment.
Am I the only one that agrees with Garrosh here, regarding Thrall's actions, and decision in making him Warchief?
Also i suspected that ever since garrosh dies thrall has been sort of MiA throught out the remaining zones.....he might have a drama talk with grommash who knows....
fuck green jesus - honestly i don´t mind that Garrosh was ended, but THIS doens´t felt like a "worthy" death for him, not like a warriors death - feels like Thrall "cheated" imo
"YOU made me warchief" - "YOU left me, to pick up YOUR pieces"...
yeah he deserved a better death.
I love how you saved the best cinematic for last. :D
Isn't Yrel simply... amazing?
decayed angel yeah she is, but what happens to her after WOD? she not from our timeline.
Maybe she returns with the others to our timeline? Or maybe the two timelines remain... parallel? I would seriously have a rage fit if she died, i didn't even get to play WoD but i already love this character. I do hope they find a way around to keep her.
same here, well the destroyed the portal, on there side thats why we are stuck there. so idk what they going to do.
Don't you find it simply epic how Orcs and Draenei, the two races that held burning grudges each against the other, fight here extremely well side by side? Maraad and Thrall, damn, kickass team. Yrel and Durotan, speechless, that was such a beautiful moment.
vary true! the enemy of my enemy is my friend kinda feel to it.
The tip of the Horde spear, no greater honor! For Nazgrim!!
R.I.P Nazgrim =(
It feels sad though, no matter what side was right, Garrosh was still Grom's son. The good Grom, best friend to Thrall. How could he kill him. After Grom left, it was Thrall's responsibility to make Garrosh into something.
Grom wasn't "good", he committed many war crimes over his long career and willingly succumbed to the taint twice.
Richard Shiflett Grom was a hero in warcraft 3. Yes he did succumb to the taint, but he was still a good friend of Thrall
karankenZ I'm sure that even as the last boss of Warlords of Draenor.
5:50 never challenge a shaman...coz this will happen to you...lol
10:22 Avenging Wrath! As a paladin, this makes me super happy to see one of our core abilities used in a cinematic :D
When Blackhand screamed: "YOU WILL ALL DIE!!" my spine froze. So epic.
Is garrosh gone now for real? IF YES, that is just bullshit, Garrosh is awsome.
Why does everyone like Garrosh? He is just and arrogant prick. I've wanted him dead since WoTLK but instead they killed off Saurfang.
Bravo...
Was i the only who tried to move the mouse pointer in the middle?
Harmony Dissonance lol yeah sorry about that.
that BIG guy It's okay. Thanks for the awesome video!
Poor maraad he sacrife himslef ! warlords epic expansion
Isn't that Velen? or am I wrong.
yves govaerts Well both of them sacrifice. Marad to protect that uber girl, and Valen to destroy that Star.
Daem, i watch those videos everyday, and everytime, i got a tear coming out :')
Presumably, after he meets Drek'Thar he gets some experience in old-school Orcish shamanism and becomes more acquainted with the elements on Draenor, leading to his victory over Garrosh.
bill withers Oh I see, thanks.
+bill withers are this draenor elements stronger than the ones in azeroth?
+L. Reptiler I'd assume not simply because the Burning Legion were using the Orcs to soften up Azeroth. Thrall spent most of his life outside of Dreanor so i'm not all to shocked he it took him awhile to get reasserted there, but it doesn't make sense if you play a Mage.
Thrall
***** Normally games explain why the player isn't affected by things like that. Wow just shits on it.
I think this is all going to end with Gul'dan turning out to be the main threat, summoning the full force of the Burning Legion into Draenor. Hellscream realizes his mistakes and turns the Iron Horde against the Legion, with the Horde, Alliance and Iron Horde uniting against the far more dangerous threat, lead by Kil'jaeden.
the data mined green-skinned, glowing red eyed Grom using the new model?
ZanathKariashi Jesus Christ, they're really that predictable and made Grom have Burning Crusade syndrome.
So he's the 'Final' raid boss (Like illidan) but then SUDDENLY DEMONS and kil'jaeden/Archimond is the true final boss in Draenor!Sunwell. Who writes for Blizzard again so I can knock them upside the head with a book?
Also I don't play the game anymore, just have a curiosity where the story has been going since I left.
Goraka91 well ya...this expansion is slightly just before the big invasion of demons...
ZanathKariashi I cant find this information anywhere..
Goraka91 and no...grom isnt the final boss
YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE GREEN JESUS !
Get .Shrekt Yea...no kidding
Didn't Maiev and Akama take down Illidan?
***** Omfg you're right. WE NEVER KILLED ANYBODY?! WTF BLIZZARD! Why are we even playing?!
God I fucking missing Garrosh. Don't miss the daddy issues, though.
+Fresh_Water How the fck can you miss Garrosh? he destroyed the honor of the Horde and everything he did was selfish.
+Bieniuification Garrosh was a badass. You're probably some filthy Sylvannas lover :D
Fresh_Water True Thrall "lover". Garrosh almost destroyed horde by his selfish things. You probably miss a lot of lore.
That intro, Thrall and Maraad kickin' ass together, as impossible as it is, I'd want to see more of that!
That epic cursor tho!!
that wierd looking orc in about 9:00 cinematic is who,he looks a bit like Garrosh, but i dont know him!?
Sorry for questions, havent played WoD! :)
HardMusicCore believe it or not its blackhand lol he had a lil mishap with the elements.
damn,he looks wierd, pretty much more like some kind of fire elemental orc then some war mongerer :D
But still a pretty good mix up!
Nice job Blizz :D
That BIGguy Yep, he sacrificed his hand to the Heart of the Mountain to gain power over the Earth, hence why the Blackrock are the only clan capable of smelting Blackrock Ore :D
FrostwolfAdventures where can i find more ?
HardMusicCore It is Blackhand
Nice of blizz to finaly introduce some "personal" story, thanks for the recolection
Thanks for putting this here for us lore-nerds. But for the love of all that is holy, can you move the damn mouse to the right edge of the screen or something in the future?
Fransens no
I cry evreytim
why on earth, would you leave the cursor IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN???!!!!
I know I have little reason to be, but I am freaking hyped by these videos.
mouse in the center = dislike
RIP Garrosh, i am sorry blizzard ruined your story
Blame it on the whiny non-Blizzard pricks who didn't like Garrosh to begin with come cataclysm.
I just saw the last one in game. I cant seem to find a way to replay it in game, so i came here to re-watch it. That Draenei Paladin was awesome!
Thrall cheated, he has body armor on. In Mak'Gora they must have no body armor and are not allowed to use magic. Only brute force was allowed
They weren't fighting in Mak'Gora. Thrall basically just wanted to kill garrosh for his crimes.
Alex Liddell Thrall did actually challenge Garrosh in Mak'Gora of the old ways in this. At least that's what I read.
Bobby Mucka If it was Mak'gora they would be wearing loincloths anyway lol I don't think this was an official duel, just a fight.
Thrall wanted to end it.....he used the mak'gora just to deal with garrosh alone...even if it was dishonorful....he will gladly bear it
Want to get technical about it then neither of them would have Honor cuz even Garrosh had his weapon so it was basically just a fight
All I wanna say is Thrall cheated. Especially after watching the Warcraft movie
Oh ya big time
Warcraft movie is not canon...
@@schulinkoulle The movie may not be canon, but what is canon is that you are not allowed to use magic during a mok'gora. Thrall cheated.
That last cinematic is just epic! Well done Blizzard!
Garrosh and Thrall were basically a copy and paste from 40k with the relationship between the Emperor and Horus
Well...yeah....Everything blizzard owns is stolen from Games Workshop. Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo designs, storylines, graphical style.
Horus and Emperor were basically a copy and paste from the Bible with the relationship between Jesus and Judas.
(It's a pretty widely used plot inspiration that book)
I will give that the original Warcraft did start out as a Warhammer game before they canceled the rights half way through development, hence the orcs being aesthetically identical, in addition to the Zerg being Tyranids and the Protoss having Eldar similarities.
Now as for Diablo, that has nothing to do with Games Workshop, I mean that game rather literally uses the Bible as inspiration, what with being all about hell and heaven and such. (Main difference is the primary antagonists are literal demons from hell, and not eldritch abominations made of emotions)
Difference is Blizzard can make good games lel
MrLynix Actually, Blizzard only ever made one game, Lost Vikings. The rest was copy/pasted, both in terms of story elements as game play.
Rykanable
Actually you are talking bullshit
World of Warcraft - where "Storm the Portal" actually means, "Sit back and let Thrall and Velen kick ass."
HarakMolova lol you think a mage is going to do all the hard work lol.
that BIG guy As a mage... I take no offense to that. It's very true.
hahahahah!!!!
That's not Velen, it's Maraad.
decayed angel Ahhh, thank you very much. I always confuse one goat with another.
I liked the people who sacrificed themselves for others.
Also, it`s nice seeing members of the Alliance and the original Horde working together...even if time is slightly out of whack.
Wtf are those elves in the beginning doing?
RuskiScrunchies Breakdance fighting by the look of it.
Monolith Preacher LOL hadn't noticed that. Hilarious!
bill withers Super LOL
all that garrosh says is true
There are two wolves fighting in us at all times: One is Weakness, and the other is Strength. Their weapons are many, and their success will lead you down different paths. Who you feed determines who will win. Or so it goes. Nagrand showed us that a Strong Wolf can fail...
But know this: It took a Traitor and an Oathbreaker to bring him down. Even when you are just and right and strong, you may yet fail to your enemies own. This does not lessen the glory, though, but heightens it.
2:24 chills
You gotta agree that Yrel is pretty fuckin badass for a Draenei.
True, I never thought Dranei were that attractive but she pretty sexy.
