If quota system is abolished and meritocracy is ensured, almost all the seats in any federal government organisation will be occupied by the candidates from Punjab. Quota system ensures that an organisation has representation from every part of the country. I'm not taking sides here but just like any other policy, quota system also has cons as well as pros. Abolishing the system is not the solution here. Providing similar level of educational opportunities across the country is the long term remedy. After that, there will be no need to abolish this system; it will not be needed anymore.

My father was a government officer in Pakistan steel Mills. He gave almost 32 years to Pakistan steel mills. He retired on jan 2017.. and the great thing is today is 7 of August 2019 the dues still pending, retirement money has not given, we file case but tareekh p tareekh mili jarhi hai lekn insaaf nahi mil raha.. we are talking about private jobs.. but this happens to a government firm.. no one take step on that..

SBOT have tough criteria. My own colleague has cleared the SBOT test twice but couldn't make it despite getting 75%+ marks. It's simply that you are not good enough to compete with the people around you. It's better to suit ourself up and come hard again rather than defaming an organization or quota system.

I took that test in 2013, 12 people were selected from over 22000 applicants. An they had 5 positions. And for sindh urban there was only 1 position according to quota. Which I did not get, and I was unofficially told that " there is another person who has an urban domicile who has greater chances to get selected ... cuz he is a fluent Sindhi speaking guy.
And in the interview they asked me a coulple of very basic accounting questions and then moved on to DONISL ka katakat because I lived in Hydri, North nazimabad. And thats it.. interview over 😂

Junaid Bhai, quota system has one benefit. The less priviliged areas get an oppertunity. Without quota system, Pakistan's unity may be affected. If everything was based on merit, you'd only have Punjabis on the top, as Punjabis have well funded institution. Where as somewhere in Balochistan, there is a lack of facility, so you won't expect a single Baloch to be occupying big seats. You can see this in the Pakistan Army, which is mostly based on merit when it comes to 20 grade and above. Likewise, you see mostly Punjabis and Pathans occupying these posts, as they are well facilitated. If you really want merit system, then you must also provide equal facilities to each and every corner of Pakistan.

Quota system is also present in India in most of the government jobs. We are not complaining now is due to a healthy private sector. Even when somebody is complaining about not getting a government jobs, they get over the disappointment over time. Ms Khan shall get over the disappointment in time. First of all this case does not belongs to Qouta system and sbp is independent org which is under federal govt but not in govt, there recruitment, salary, bonus, loan, retirement all managed by sbp it self not federal govt.. In this case check the advertisement where they clearly mention age relaxation for balochistan, gilgit, Fata and AJK.. BUT NO QOUTA AT ALL.. Futher she claimed that she obtained 80 percent in previous exam but not qualified... Yes there is alot of students who do so... But sbp has a policy that you have to qualify in all subjects that are 4 or may be 5 carrying equal marks if you got 90 percent in 3 subjects and fail in 1 then actually you are disqualified... Rest qouta system is totally injustice this should be removed and provide equal education and equal opportunity for all pakistani... Trust I am just writing this that you must guide lady that the point she is talking is wrong there is no qouta in sbp recruitment process. Thanks
Actually the test had 3 sections 1) english 2) analytical 3) general knowledge There are alot of case where students satisfies the aggregate criteria but unable to satisfy tje individual criteria e.g if aggregate criteria is 60 marks & in each section individual must obtain 50% marks. This is where problem arise applicants fail to obtaind in certain individual section but there aggregate is more then 60 so those are considered disqualified
I guess she said 70, even tho she wasn't on merit that's why she was disqualified. No big deal you should check on yourself why you disqualified instead of blaming the sbp, nts, system.. There will be people who obtained 90 marks, they're not blaming the system

If quota system is abolished and meritocracy is ensured, almost all the seats in any federal government organisation will be occupied by the candidates from Punjab. Quota system ensures that an organisation has representation from every part of the country. I'm not taking sides here but just like any other policy, quota system also has cons as well as pros. Abolishing the system is not the solution here. Providing similar level of educational opportunities across the country is the long term remedy. After that, there will be no need to abolish this system; it will not be needed anymore.

With regards to Quota System, it ensures just representation of different segments of society in Public Administration. FYI: Pakistan's law ensures 10 Percent quota for Women in all sectors for just representation of gender in Public Administration. Moreover, the age relaxation is provided to provide relief to people from underdeveloped areas. Public Administration and Industrial Progression are two different matters altogether. Brilliance is the currency in industrial sectors, but Public Administration demands strengthening of political order in society. Thus, until and unless the GDP per capita of Pakistan crosses USD 5000, according to an economist Paul Colliers, quota system is necessary to keep societal order intact.

My father was a government officer in Pakistan steel Mills. He gave almost 32 years to Pakistan steel mills. He retired on jan 2017.. and the great thing is today is 7 of August 2019 the dues still pending, retirement money has not given, we file case but tareekh p tareekh mili jarhi hai lekn insaaf nahi mil raha.. we are talking about private jobs.. but this happens to a government firm.. no one take step on that..

SBOT have tough criteria. My own colleague has cleared the SBOT test twice but couldn't make it despite getting 75%+ marks. It's simply that you are not good enough to compete with the people around you. It's better to suit ourself up and come hard again rather than defaming an organization or quota system.

I took that test in 2013, 12 people were selected from over 22000 applicants. An they had 5 positions. And for sindh urban there was only 1 position according to quota. Which I did not get, and I was unofficially told that " there is another person who has an urban domicile who has greater chances to get selected ... cuz he is a fluent Sindhi speaking guy.
This placement was for Karachi. And even had a quota of 2 seats for punjab domiciles.
And in the interview they asked me a coulple of very basic accounting questions and then moved on to DONISL ka katakat because I lived in Hydri, North nazimabad. And thats it.. interview over 😂

Junaid Bhai, quota system has one benefit. The less priviliged areas get an oppertunity. Without quota system, Pakistan's unity may be affected.
If everything was based on merit, you'd only have Punjabis on the top, as Punjabis have well funded institution. Where as somewhere in Balochistan, there is a lack of facility, so you won't expect a single Baloch to be occupying big seats.
You can see this in the Pakistan Army, which is mostly based on merit when it comes to 20 grade and above. Likewise, you see mostly Punjabis and Pathans occupying these posts, as they are well facilitated.
If you really want merit system, then you must also provide equal facilities to each and every corner of Pakistan.

Quota system is also present in India in most of the government jobs. We are not complaining now is due to a healthy private sector. Even when somebody is complaining about not getting a government jobs, they get over the disappointment over time. Ms Khan shall get over the disappointment in time. First of all this case does not belongs to Qouta system and sbp is independent org which is under federal govt but not in govt, there recruitment, salary, bonus, loan, retirement all managed by sbp it self not federal govt..
In this case check the advertisement where they clearly mention age relaxation for balochistan, gilgit, Fata and AJK.. BUT NO QOUTA AT ALL..
Futher she claimed that she obtained 80 percent in previous exam but not qualified... Yes there is alot of students who do so... But sbp has a policy that you have to qualify in all subjects that are 4 or may be 5 carrying equal marks if you got 90 percent in 3 subjects and fail in 1 then actually you are disqualified...
Rest qouta system is totally injustice this should be removed and provide equal education and equal opportunity for all pakistani...
Trust I am just writing this that you must guide lady that the point she is talking is wrong there is no qouta in sbp recruitment process.

Actually the test had 3 sections
1) english
2) analytical
3) general knowledge
There are alot of case where students satisfies the aggregate criteria but unable to satisfy tje individual criteria e.g if aggregate criteria is 60 marks & in each section individual must obtain 50% marks. This is where problem arise applicants fail to obtaind in certain individual section but there aggregate is more then 60 so those are considered disqualified
2ndly this was the first time NTS conducted the test previously the tests were conducted by IBP
I guess she said 70, even tho she wasn't on merit that's why she was disqualified. No big deal you should check on yourself why you disqualified instead of blaming the sbp, nts, system..
There will be people who obtained 90 marks, they're not blaming the system
