This topic really needed to be acknowledged. I've seen these things happen with alot of people I know.
Numerous doctors aren't getting the kind of earning and recognition as much as they deserve. Medical Institutions don't value their work and time, this dilemma should be looked upon and sort out.

I am a Medical Graduate from India and the same problems exist here too. The mentality against Doctors is exactly the same too, sadly.
Our country’s President asked Doctors to work for prayers and not monetary compensation. One of the Doctors wrote an open letter to him in a newspaper asking him to tell the Doctor’s landlord, his kids’s school, his grocer, the electricity & water board to take those prayers from him as payment too since he wasn’t earning money but prayers for his services.
And then our PM went to UK and insulted our Doctors on an International Stage.
India and Pakistan are hardly different.

Chachi India me kis jagah pe Doctors bina payment k kaam kar rahe hai? Or mtlb kuch bhi President ne kab bola ki doctor prayers ke liye kam kro? Yaha ka IMF itne dande krega na sare hospital band ho jaenge dusre din, or aap kaha se mbbs kar ke aai ho ? Or yaha to bums/Bams/bhms tak free me kam nahi karte.

Again a very good voice raised!
Doctor is the highest paid profession in the world except for Indo-Pak subcontinent, I will talk about Pakistan and more specifically Karachi since grew over their. The reason it is one of the highest paid is because other's health is dependent on this profession so doctors are careful of what they do. Unfortunately in Karachi all the public services profession are being under paid.
Thinking of this remind me of myself, that after doing MBA from a good college on Shahrah e Faisal behind Lal Kothi stop, I got job in a private bank as Personal Banker and was being paid 16,000, this was 2010. And then found out people are being under paid so much in banks. And realize more after moving here (Houston).
Doctor, Lawyer, Police, Bankers etc, you name it Junaid. List is so long but really appreciate that you raise the voice at least for one of them. I just want all Pakistanis to see life outside the country on basic needs and learn and protest peacefully to raise voices.

Finally someone took our side as well. Thank you junaid bhai. We all badly need this platform to tell the public and stupid anchors for what we went through this whole period. Still this is not have been the complete version, the hectic 24hrs hospital night duty 3 times a week, with seniors and head of the department bashing you all day for just a mini mistakes and what not in front of patients and nursing staff so that they also won’t respect as anymore, still they expect as to do everything that should be also done by seniors as well. After all that we still work in that frustrating environment where sometimes we regret that why we choose this field. The amount of emotional, mental and physical torture we bear is not comparable. And after that if we ask our monthly salary then we are the “Behrias” !

Let us not confuse the lavish perks and handsome salaries of professors and senior consultants with the pitiable situation of these house officers, PGRs and paramedics. Because we always generalise all of them as "DOCTORS" and as a result of such an arduous struggle of these kids, senior physicians and consultants are the one who get all the benefit out of that.

If they are protesting for their salary then they should protest against management to provide better facility and instrument for patients so they can easily save the life of citizens.

Its okay k bhai patients hain unhen dekhna hai lekin jaani aese rahogy tou pistay jaogy.
Karachi me aur b hospitals hain private sector mein chale jao q k humari govt. tou nh sudharne wali.
Yahan police wale Dr. Par bhi hath utha dete hain tou aese hakim se tou woh angraiz ki ghulami krlete hum.
My heart is broken after this.

This is the story of every hospital in Pakistan,, junior doctors are the most who are affected, I wonder there is such a big difference in protocol which is given to doctors in developed counties and then in Pakistan,

Junaid bro, you are really doing great job, I really appreciate your kind work, I wish I could be helping hand in any way, Well buddy I don't see your government going to be serious upon your real practical obstacles as they all are busy making money so that they can left their country and live rest their life being rich abroad.
Every country's gov do lot of ambiguous things but they don't compromise with country's interest at all, your doctors, IT professionals, researches they are the one who going to contribute in GDP eventually.
Well I never like Pakistani government and its very obvious as being Indian but we have lot of people to people contacts moreover I don't have any business to interfere in your matters but these are my observations, you guys seriously need a F5(Referesh the structure since bottom to top). Good Luck Bro 🙏

As a Pakistani medical student this is really demotivating to see. Medical doctors are highly respected and revered in society outside Pakistan. It's shocking to see that the government can't even relay the measly 30,000 Rs salary. The doctors really deserve a lot more than this. There are a lot of foreign countries that demand trained doctors from Pakistan. Other nations see the potential that we have and it's only natural that it would leave Pakistan unless and until the general populous responds to waking calls like this podcast. I think it serves well in spreading the quite needed unbiased information and more people should be hearing this.

"There are a lot of foreign countries that demand trained doctors from Pakistan." Oye chutiye, which foreign country is demanding Pakistani doctors? Lmao Pakistani medical education isn't even trusted in US or Canada you've got to study an additional 2 years.

@@khanf13 Pakistani doctors are the fourth biggest country to provide doctors to the United States and as of 2016, 12000 Pakistani doctors are operating internationally. Furthermore, US and Canada are not the only countries in the world you know. I have lived in the UAE for several years and Arab countries have a plethora of Pakistani doctors with great reputation. Get your facts straight and tone down your language.

Thank you Junaid bhai, have never seen something like that before. only saw one news recently where the doctors reported the incident of being tortured by the patient family to the SHO and that moron said I can't do anything about it. but I knew doctors wouldn't close the OPD for small issue. not giving someone salary for the work they are doing should be one of the biggest crime in a society. alas it's a shithole society.
