Every time i listen to this sermon, new insights spring up. The genesis of all human woes and suffering is in "Iccha +paticca " . Eye and form or ear and sounds etc.operate independently. when "Iccha +paticca come in between, a spark is ignited and new process flows from there. This is how pati+iccha+sam+ uppadaya" commences....we feel certain things happen through our "iccha" . Few things coincidentally match with what happens Externally. We tend to take the credit for that. What happens outside is governed by its own cause and effect. Reality is that nothing in the world happens through our ichcha " ......we owe our lives to Arahatunwahanse for these insights. suwapath wewa. what happens externally is governed by its own.
We are among the most priviledged among the humans to have acess to Arahatunwahanse. I often feel my debt of gratitude to him is greater than the debt to my parents. How do i settle this debt. He once hinted how we could repay the debt. It is by diligently following the Dhamma Path.i will one day fall at his feet and make a pledge that i shall repay the debt.
