    While both old players of gpu ditch budget market altogether, it's nice to see Intel try to compete where we all need the most. If they don't give up, we do not either.

      I think battlemage is supposed to be mid tier but as long as they keep up with Arc and keep it lower end that would be fantastic. It took them a long time to get some traction but I believe that they are headed in a great direction with their GPUs.

    You think the arc a750 is a good card for my first pc build? I have never worked with a pc before but i have done a lot of research recently. My two options are the rx 6600 and arc a750, paired with a ryzen 5 5600 and b550.

    • @RomanGodEpiclese
      @RomanGodEpiclese  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I run a 5600x on a B550 motherboard w/24gb ram and it runs great. That being said, it would depend on the usage, since I wanted to start content creating I chose the 750 for the AV1. The card does still have its downsides, it is NOT a day one game card. I don't usually do day one anyway, Payday 3 was my last straw on that. The RX 6600 is going to be more straight forward for a first timer. AMD has amazing UI for their graphics cards, Intel is not so straight forward, not difficult just more time consuming. With the 6600 you're going to get what you get, drivers are not going to change much and do very little moving forward. I've had more and worse driver issues from AMD than Arc at this point. I think that it would be a great card for a first timer, you would be running nearly similar system to my own and I love it man! Not only has it been a great experience for me, but I feel I've learned more from working with Arc than I did with AMD and Nvidia. Hope I helped, if you have any more questions don't be afraid to ask. I'll help as best as I can my friend. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment I greatly appreciate it. Much Love!!!

    Thanks for sharing! I was teetering but ended up going the 6800xt route for my first build just due to not wanting to tinker with the ARC a lot. Kind of just wanted as close to plug and play as possible. Glad to see Intel is fixing the issues in an expedient matter. My next GPU might be an Intel given their price to performance and the quick resolution of issues!

      Thank you for giving me the time to visit the channel. I thought it would be more of a hassle when I did decide to invest in it but I was far too intrigued by the series and the price was hard to beat but I'm glad I did. 3 months into owning the card and I have not been disappointed at all. According to leaks, Battlemage should be released around Black Friday and I will definitely be upgrading to the next series. I have officially become an Intel GPU fanboy.

My GTX 970 has lasted me forever, but the Nvidia low-end cards out now are definitely *not* worth the price. I think I'll wait for Battlemage and see if that holds trend. Getting 8gb gpu on 2024 is super scary and going to age like milk, they sell 6750xt here for $210 12gb vram and better performance than 770 from intel.

    • @RomanGodEpiclese
      @RomanGodEpiclese  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree, the current gaming market 8gb is starting to be the base floor for GPUs now. If you can afford it the 12gb is most definitely better but I wanted to take a chance and give Intel a try. I have not been disappointed. I could have gone a different route but it would have defeated the end game of the channel to test theArc series in a budget setting.

    With ARC you have to realize FPS is not that comparable to AMD/Nvidia. A770 if I would compare it is a bit of a weird card. It does 1080p OK, 1440p the gap to more expensive cards gets smaller, 4k it can do things that more expensive cards can't do for example 4070ti that struggles on 4k. I have to say 4070ti is better on 1440p but 192 bit bus is not enough for 4k. On paper yes it will give double the FPS compared but as playable it falls behind. It is the bus and also the architecture is very different. Where as AMD/Nvidia in general have bigger Wattage and do most of the executions in GPU and CPU side is not that important. This results queuing and bad frame time. INTEL is different where it pairs with the CPU better hence the REBAR for faster data transfer between GPU and CPU. INTEL splits the tasks to CPU and GPU and then brings it together with less queuing gaining better frame time and needing lot less FPS. So as summary if INTEL gives 60FPS the competition AMD/Nvidia would need to double the FPS and maybe even then at higher resolutions comes short. Very important to understand the differences in architecture and take the FPS as indication only. And now we are looking at Intel Application Optimization (APO) that is predicted to give 10-50% gains when paired with 14th gen CPU. Looks like APO might come with Battlemage and more coverage with Celestial that we might see end of 2024 but in my opinion it will be Q1-Q2 2025 maybe beating Nvidia's 50 series launch date. APO with compatible CPU and MB should also give a boost for the Alchemist. I personally think Alchemist has +20% still on the table so it will keep on improving for some time still and with APO it might still be on some PC's 10 years from now.
    Battlemage is predicted to be launched at H1 2024. B980 first and B970 sometime after. Mobile is still waiting for compatible CPU and it is looking sometime 2025. Predicted specs are for B980 Xe 64/24gb/256 buss/250-300W. B970 Xe 56/16gb/256 bus/250-300W. Mobile Xe 40/12gb/192 bus. B980 is said to challenge 4080 and B970 is said to challenge 4070ti. Hence in my opinion why Nvidia launched the "super" to keep a small lead till the 50 series. Just for comparison the A770 is Xe 32/16gb/256 bus/225W.

    • @RomanGodEpiclese
      @RomanGodEpiclese  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Mind you this is all from a budget viewpoint, I cannot afford the 40 series cards at this time, so I wanted to give a "budget gamers" perspective. I agree with you, I can tell you now that for the first time I agree FPS is not an end all be all argument with discrete GPUs. The frames have increased with the new hardware for sure, but it's the quality of the graphics that has blown me away. Over two years on PC I've been gone from a RX 580 8gb, to a 1660ti 6gb, to the A750 8gb now. I've heard a lot of larger content creators talk about the power draw being high for this class of card, but it draws the same power as my RX 580 and more often than not less. The quality of the hardware I feel is just so much better than what AMD and Nvidia have to offer in my opinion. From an argument standpoint though, AMD and Nvidia are now just pure hardware, the driver maturity is so far along that there is hardly anything to optimize. Intel still has a lot of wiggle room for the software side, once you add the price position, I feel like Intel has a hardcore contender on its hands. Battlemage and Celestial I feel are going to be more hardware on release, Arc has the hardware to compete at its price class now, but they still have a lot of work to do with software optimization. I made that a focal point just because of the disastrous state of the software on ARC launch and the remaining legacy game issues being hit or miss. I have not experienced this so far. This was more of a...."Intel you made a fanboy out of me. Keep up the great work!" Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts I very much appreciate it and for taking the time to watch the video! Much Love!!!

    • @RomanGodEpiclese
      @RomanGodEpiclese  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@farmeunit For sure, the bad part is the price point on NVidia. Since I've been on all 3 sides now since I started gaming, I would say that if Intel had a few more generations of GPU under their belt it might be a different story. I feel like it's more stable than AMD was but not as performative as NVidia. I would say right now NVidia is the top of the food chain for performance and stability.

    • @farmeunit

      It was a very rough start, I've had mine for about 7 months now and for the most part it's been rock solid. The last few driver updates have been almost barren of optimizations and mostly day 1 drivers. The only game I've had issues with is dragon's dogma 2. Elden ring gives me some screen tearing every once in a while but it's solid for the most part. I took a gamble on it and haven't been disappointed.

      This seems to affect console a lot more than it does on pc. So far, the only downside to it that I've had to experience is the lack of capture card. That only affects my frames when I'm benchmarking AND recording. Honestly, it's a niche problem and I don't think that it's necessarily "bad" for gaming. I think there are much worse things for gaming right now than HDCP.

    Hey dude on ARC cards you need Resizable Bar, or Smart Access Memory, for AMD CPUs. You're current CPU supports it but your motherboard doesn't. You need a 550 motherboard. INTEL STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU USE REBAR/SAM. Rebar will fix a lot of your driver issues.

Don't think I'll ever need to go AM5 for no other reason than AM4 still offers valuable performance. You could essentially shave $15 to $25 dollars and go with a cheaper board for sure.
