  • Hey All! This movie was so hyped up that I could not wait to see it. It did live up to my own personal expectations, and I thought it was pretty good. BUT, I didn't think it was as good as critics said. I do recommend to ALL horror fans though!
This video is purely for commentary purposes, and is NOT a replacement for the original film. Please go watch the original film.

The Grove is based on Bohemian Grove, which was an elite once a year meeting which involves very high up politicians and the rich - a staple for conspiracy theories. It has an owl statue and agreements and deals were made there. Since many protests and attempts to break in they no longer meet there. I enjoyed this movie - just goes to show what can be achieved on a low budget with a great idea!

So, far, you're the only reactor I've seen who has been catching Minnie's appearances in the background. She pops up throughout the movie. If you go back to the opening scene, you can spot her in the television static. She also appears in the television static in the backstage scene between Gus and Carmichael. You caught it in this video at 35:17 at the moment when Gus says the word, "Puked." That one is hard to see but if you watching it on your computer, lean the screen back to make Minnie more pronounced. And right before Lilly becomes electric, Minnie appears in the pitch black for about two frames. Late Night with the Devil isn't a demon movie, it's a story about a ghost coming back on Halloween night to get revenge on her husband. Minnie did everything.

According to the filmmakers, the date for the show was set because it’s on the only Monday night of Sweeps Week that occurred on October 31.

This one was a lot of fun, and the acting, wow!! The main actor have always been in the background, but after this movie he is going to be huge. The script is also greag, they packed so much into such a little run time 9.5 out of 10

Yes he's a really excellent actor! I've seen him in quite a few movies but he's never been given the opportunity to shine like he is here. I also read some interviews he did after this was released, and he is a very intelligent guy

Ingrid Toreli is awesome in this movie. She would be great as Raven in a Teen Titans movie or Jinx. Maybe if James Gunn did the Royal Flush Gang from the Justice League animated series in live action, Ingrid would be great as Ace. You can tell she didn’t get hypnotized because the demon inside of her was protecting her.

Dude, you put so much time and care into these. This is why I love your videos. Thanks for the bit on Haig, I knew I saw him somewhere before! He was the bad guy in two of the Matrix movies when he was younger.

I think the only reason I was able to catch some of those sightings is because the editing process is so consuming that it makes it easier to spot when you have to go frame by frame in some spots. Otherwise I wouldve missed them too! And thank you for subscribing!

i at first didn't think this movie would have much rewatchability, but now i realize how much you can pick up on on multiple viewings. i really love that they used the idea and conspiracies around the real world Bohemian Grove as basis for the cult.

    • @Unknown-ek1ox
      @Unknown-ek1ox 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yeah when I saw both the one guy mentioning "your friends at the Grove" and the owl references I immediately had to think of it. If you ever heard of it or delved into the topics (which I did as teenager) it should be an easy reference, but I also reckon those might be lost on people who haven't.
It's curious though, often reality is the best source for fiction.

There's been news recently about how Clarence Thomas had to disclose paid trips from mega Donor Harlan Crow, one of them being to Bohemian Grove. I wouldn't have known what it is unless I watched this movie!

Wow just get back from theater from this movie. You pick up so many things that I do not notice at first, like the accent change from Christu.
Btw, some TH-camr also pick up that this movie felt like an analog horror ( a type of famous internet document horror). The 70s vibe, the lost tape, the possessed video, the pausing of tape to see haunted image in the background. The conspiracy and theory aftee you watched a tape. Might good to check some out

    • @mikewatchesstuff

What upset you about it? Because the graphic nature of it, or something else?

@@mikewatchesstuff I think it was the the electricity part of it like graphically it was fine but came off like a super hero villain type look like her final form kind of made me less scared if that makes sense. Plus shouldn’t have said it made me upset just a lil disappointed but can see they were going for something new.

    • @RMBittner

Do you mean “computer-generated” rather than “AI generated”? Because the only elements that the filmmakers used AI on were for help with the artwork on three of the “We’ll be back…” title cards, which they then reworked for the final film.
