The reason why they can do one shots is because of the old Clock of Destiny and Lightning Truncheon combo. These two items were prominent in one shotting, especially in the early game, heck even Selena uses this item combo more often rather than using Shadow Twinblades (anyone remember this item?) and Calamity Reaper. Not only that, when fully stack, old Clock of Destiny gives the second highest magic power in the game, adding the combo with old Lightning Truncheon, Blood Wings and Holy Crystal it's sure an instant delete with just one skill or can one shot tanky fighters like Terizla or Thamuz even in the late game.

Old CoD and LT was massive, to the point that Mage Assassins that's never meant for the jungle role or have to go to other lanes like Selena Roam, Selena Mid, Gusion Mid, and Gusion EXP uses it for more damage. Nowadays you need to be in the late game to do that.
Old aurora was a sure kill when you have full stack passive then 2nd + ult.I miss the old burst mages. clock of distiny, lightning truncheon and divine glaive trio build perfect for ambushes nowadays mages are like supports. I still remember kagura, aurora and eudora bush campers.
Kagura is unchanged and Aurora was such a bad pick in the past because she was slow and so were her skills, had no way to help her tean much Removing oneshot is a good thing for the game

Which isn’t great because Sky Piercer is an unfun item. If you’re winning, you win more. If you’re losing, it’s basically useless. Hp based damage is also unfair when it comes to tanks and roamers.

I think Moonton should buff Aurora's skill damage because her damage is lower than before the revamped, which feels a bit unfair, although her control effects have been buff,but her skill damage is lower, making it difficult to finish off enemies ( especially in team fight aiming squishy) . Moreover, her skill animations feel clunky and have a noticeable delay, which affects her performance in fast casting combo combat in team fight.

I usually just run LT, double holy xtal, blood wings and glave, finally I sell my boots after I get blood wings for wishing lantern. Dmg is quite high but it is a very late game build. Even novaria is hitting 2-3k bullets
I honestly think this is quite fair... Like they still halving squishy or mid fighters that goes pure attack so chance's of fighting back is still there ... What really bad where the mage have long range so there are more easily to escape first imagine if the dmg of those mage where one shot almost all back line and they still can get way....
Past Vale can deal like 5.5k+ damage with his ult and this is without lightning truncheon and not full build, i think that it can go like 8k+ overall in 1 ult if he goes with no boots, considering that Vale can cut Hylos's whole HP bar in half if he doesn't use mdef, Hylos back in the days is still no damn joke, that Hylos can get 15k+ HP.

Wishing lantern is good in Aurora. Maybe you can change the blood wings with it and can make a gurantee kill with her ultimate.

2. Mage emblem with thrill, master assassin, and impure rage
3. The above can already kill zilong, but if you want to one shot tankier fighters, change blood wings to another holy crystal
