Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy works better as his little 10 year old self and him teaming up with best friend Damian Wayne robin being the son of superman Clark Kent and Lois lane and learning how to be a great hero was freaking fantastic and amazing, and it drives me crazy that dc won't give us back Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy back to his little 10 year old self because come on there was still so many stories to tell with Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his 10 year old self right there to tell DC comics universe right there. Also side note I will always maintain have Jon becoming superman was just dumb and being aged up was freaking garbage idea that should be retconned out of existence in my opinion. :)
Good overview. 👌 With the right writer he can be a great legacy character like Wally West was or Kyle Rayner. Unfortunately...when he was aged up the stories were awful. Nobody cares that he was gay. It just didn't make him interesting. Once again. Bad writing ruined a character who had the potential to be a major player I'm the DC Universe.
@@AfricanReadsComics or maybe just a different kind than one is used to. We see that Jon still does cool Superman action and inspiration things, he just does them in the way that the people of today need. The problem is that too many people think that Superman's kids should just be clones of Clark and and do things his way. That's really not how it works. Superman (Clark) is written mostly as if he's the POTUS (Post-War-1990, 2020-now) or an Immigrant Boy (originally before the Wartime Propaganda mandate and 1990-2020)...because that's DC's style to write their characters as if they're publicly recognized World Leaders who talk about doing something instead of actually doing something about it. Jon actually does something about problems because he knows that just because he can go up in the sky, it doesn't mean his head has to be in it all the time. You can be hopefully minded, but you also should be able to do good on the ground too. Jon's doing things in a long forgotten way...he does it where he joins the protests and actually actively works towards betterment the people the way Wonder Woman used to back before the crisis...so effectively he's sending a message to his mentors saying "Auntie Diana's original way still works, do you not feel that it does?"
