Vietnam is one of the few settings where carrying a metric fuckton of mags and firing in full auto is not only effective but also historically accurate. I know Pairs says different but this is a hill (Hamburger Hill if you will) I'm willing to die on lmao.

I haven’t played Mike Force yet but definitely went through the campaign a little with members of my Arma unit. This DLC is no joke. You made some good calls, I was rooting for you to make it to exctract at least. All in all good shit man.

Anyone know what "Lucky frag" means. From context I presume it's a method of preventing capture.
I'm not sure if it's a slang term from the actual war but it was pretty common for SOG guys to keep a specific frag so that if they were about to be captured they'd hold the frag grenade to kill themselves and take as many NVA/VC with them as they could.
Yeah it's a bit of soldiers dark humour we added, in recognition of when a SOG team member knows he has to stay behind and take as many bad guys out as he can to help the team. This stuff actually happened.

How is the performance on ARMA 3? I want to re-download the game but I don't want to spend time trying to set this up and play at 20 fps.
It's still the same, though people have worked out ways to get better FPS now so unless you have hundreds of AI on screen at once you should still get more than 20fps
This DLC is so good you'll still want to play it at 20fps!!
On my PC (old i7 / 1050 ti) the campaign plays at 50+ fps, dropping to 35 when there are 100 AI on your tail and F4s dropping napalm everywhere. Still playable at 25 fps in moderately busy cities.

It's early days, no promises can be made :) Meanwhile the Unsung mod has ANZACs to augment the DLC
Have you tried the Unsung mod? Its like the DLC but 38374738 times better (and free).
I think the dlc is still better because of optimization and attention to detail because unsung is just a bunch of unoptimized stuff. It’s still fun to use them but it’s noticeable with the vics
The Unsung guys were heavily involved in this DLC and were the design leads of the entire thing

I made both mod and DLC.
DLC is much much better optimised, textures are in 4k, and artwork created with many hundreds of thousands of dollars of artists work.
DLC sounds are fully implemented in 3D soundshaders.
The terrain is huge and detailed.
There is a multiplayer SOG campaign written by MACV SOG vets.
It's only $22.99
Unsung can be used with it to pad out the extra content you want to add.
Lots of people are already making modsand missions for the DLC.
