@NWR Express Engine Mighty Mac and Fearless Freddie are also there, both of whom are interesting characters. But Duke is the best of course.

@Sdmedia or Splatter e Dodge, Dennis, BoCo, Freddie, Billy, George, Hank and the others Characters returning in CGI(specially in The Brenner Era S17-S21).
Seeing Duke appear in the CGI series, even for a short time, would have been great. If only the idea of him appearing in Kevin the Steamie was kept.
If he had returned to CGI alongside Sir Handel and Peter Sam in that bad episode, I don't think it would have been a great comeback... SPECIALLY in The Nitrogen/Miller era, remember how bad the 15 is?(looking the Bad returning of Wiff e Trevor in the S14 and S15 for example).
In my opinion it would have been 100 times better if they had dropped the idea of having Duke come back and have him work at Ufsteld Castel during the S17 and King of The Railway, then yeah... have him go back to the Brenner era S17-S21.
These are the kinds of videos that can never disappoint. Thank you again, sir, for giving us the content we all appreciate.
It’s incredibly depressing that Duke never appeared again after season 4. It was also reported that Duke was supposed to return a total of 5 instances at different times but it just never happened.
Do you remember all five instances?
@@darthknuxward3220 It has been a little while since I posted this comment so unfortunately I don’t remember the other 4 instances, but the most well known is him being in concept art for “Kevin the Steamie”, but as we all know it wouldn’t make it into the final cut.

Fun Fact I've seen the Real life Palmerston engine dressed as Duke back in 2007 at york.
Duke is another favourite character of mine I love his episodes in Season 4, Stories in the Books and his toys. Even though he's forgotten by the show I'm happy that the SIF team did ERS Stories about him which I really love to listen to.
I grew up with rusty to the rescue dvd definitely one of my favorites was always watching the 2 part duke the lost engine. I loved those two episodes out of the whole disc with its comfy atmosphere, music, sets, and all in wonder. thank you for the great episode and keep up the great work.
Duke is one of my favorite characters because of George's narration of him, and he's my 2nd lego model ttte I built (1st being Rusty).
Duke was one of my favorite growing up! Always reminded me of my own grandpa... The narrow gauge stories were some of my all-time favorites. The last season with George Carlin as my narrator who was also a favorite of mine on top of just being hugely nostalgic to me... Makes me happy Duke's model is still around!
I have done memories of driving down to Bayou Meto Arkansas when I was younger watching Thomas and Magic Railroad and the Rusty to the rescue DVD were my two favorite things to watch on my way down there, hence Duke was one of my favorite characters. :)

Out of all the narrow gauge engines duke is one of my most favorite engines alongside, Duncan, Peter Sam, & skarloey! I agree with basically all of what you said about him in this video and these facts of his model helped me understand why he wasn’t in future seasons ever since he appeared in the forth season of Thomas and friends the tv series! But they railway series book series is another story. But anyways good video by the way. 😊👏

I'm glad that I was able to release my retelling of Duke's stories just before this video! This is amazing!
I kinda like how Duke doesn't look surprised when Falcon derails. It fits his character in a way, he knew the overconfident kid was going to slip up somewhere and was immediately ready to hold him back.

Yeah since they're old engines. They'd would have banters over their different way of wisdom like their senses of humor though Duke would be mostly no nonsense.

During my time when i was 8 i used to have a dvd about the full thomas and friends classic railways and boy i love watching the narrow gauge engines all day its very sad duke and smudger never appeared in cgi i wish also i lost the dvd a long time ago.
I missed it again darn great I always liked duke.
Man I hate all those people who call Thomas a messed up show saying it’s not suitable for kids because of stories like Granpuff and The Sad Story of Henry.
