  • We chose the Olympic Malaysia Hotel (Chinatown), CitizenM Hotel (Bukit Bintang) and the Mandarin Oriental (KLCC) for this budget, mid-range and luxury hotel video! We wanted to experience staying in different locations of Kuala Lumpur, to enjoy the diversity and unique atmosphere of each place. These are the 3 main areas of KL that people tend to stay in - especially if it's a first time visit! Enjoy!

Come and try Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur next round. One standard room (Banyan Escape) should cost around AU$400 per night.

Hello! We've heard great things about Banyan Tree KL. Might check it out next time we visit- thanks for the recommendation! 😀

Thanks for sharing. Love KL. I have been researching KL hotels for a visit later this year. My favourite was the Hotel Istana...a real classic which unfortunately closed its doors due to Covid. It is however due to re-open as the Waldorf Astoria, sadly won't be able to afford that.

Thanks for watching, John! Glad you liked this video. It was a bit of a "put together" we spontaneously decided to film in KL, so we are happy you like it. Waldorf Astoria is sadly not in our vocabulary, maybe one day (we can hope, right?).
Have you visited KL recently and do you have an area in particular you favour?

For budget food options and ease of metro transportation, which area should we choose in KL?
Many thanks for your playlist. Watching them all.

Hello 👋 KL has some of the best transportation in the entire world and Grab is very affordable, so you will be fine anywhere you choose to stay for transport. Chinatown and around Merdeka Square have a lot of great and very affordable food options. Next time we visit KL, we will stay either Bukit Ceylon or Chinatown.
Thank you for watching and please let us know if you have anymore questions! 😀
