    Do you have any tips for overcoming your fear of video?

      Yes keep doing it till you become desensitised to it

    The practice really is the key...I don't think that speaking to a camera in an empty room feels natural for ANYONE lol

      It certainly does NOT! Slowly but surely it grows on you though : ) as you know!

    How is it possible that you don't have like 100 000 subs? 😳 I found you through Twitter (by searching hashtags) and my first impression was "ok she has like 200 000 subs" then I went to your channel and saw your content and got even more surprised. Super professional videos, good performance in front of the camera, it feels personal and it's great tempo as well without you stressing through it. You have a new follower! :) Keep making TH-cam better! 💪

    This is so great Amanda! I actually am working on being more "fun" and myself on camera! I watched my old videos though and was SHOCKED how much I have improved!

      AJ Life Hacks I knooooow. It’s so fun to look back and see the evolution. I’m working on being more conversational on video right now. It’s a constant growth I think!

    You have hit my big pain point... This has been the hardest part for me on TH-cam. I agree you have to practice and put up with the unpleasant feeling of hearing your own voice.

      Interesting! I talk to myself in my head all the time and I think I know what to say and then it’s a huge struggle once the camera is on! I will try out loud, thanks 😊 🙏

    Great advice! I remember how uncomfortable I was recording myself the first time I tried. It's only been a few months since then, but I feel so much more confident now. The better prepared we are, helps as well.

    Nice recommendations Amanda, I like the one of giving the home tour and becoming familiar with the wilder side of me and then cutting out what is not me. I imagine practicing that eventually helps to know the more loose side of ourselves on camera.

    Great advice - following script seems to really through me off my camera self-any advice for scripts?

    • @AmandaHorvath
      @AmandaHorvath  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Terial Arts scripts can be super helpful to get started but they need to be written in a conversational format. The best way to write it is to speak out loud while you type it out. Also try mixing in non scripted stuff like these exercises helps to get you comfortable without a script too.

    How about NOT suggesting that people use their phone while driving. That is very unsafe and in a lot of states is an expensive ticketable offense.
