I own an original Funhouse Pinball. It was my very first pinball machine and I still love it to this day. I have had it for about 20 years and I remember my 2 buddies coming over to my house after work to check it out. They were amazed by how the the game is. We played it for hours. We were down in the basement where I have a makeshift arcade. My wife was upstairs and could hear us getting kind of loud. It must say it is the only time it is appropriate for thee guys to be in a basement screaming "shoot it in his mouth".
I've been playing Space Station, because it's the only table of the three that I hadn't played before in any form. I've been to Free Play Florida in Orlando a few times and have never seen it there. As for Space Shuttle I've played the '84 and '87 tables from Williams (they're different) and the one in Zaccaria Pinball. I've still not played two Space Shuttle tables though. The one from Sega released in '77 and the one released by Mecatronics. I'd love to come across all four together in one place.
Great video as always. Dr Dude surprised me a bit. It was more fun that I thought. Space station is cool also. I have a soft spot for older pins. Funhouse is funhouse😀.
@@CrowContinuum Well as you mentioned, it took them a long time to get the Alpha Numeric displays just right, which is one of the reasons why we waited 10 months for a new pack. Electrical Mechanical is another challenge on its own, so perhaps that will be another few years off.

As of 10/29, this table pack has yet to be released for Zen Pinball 2 for the Mac (via the App Store... Sometimes these things can take a while...), but now I have something to look forward to!

I checked my Updates list (in the Mac App Store) for recent, and available updates, and Zen Pinball 2 wasn't on it...But when I did a specific search for Zen Pinball 2, the result indicated that an update ( to 1.41) was, in fact available! I updated the App, and the new tables were available! Thanks for alerting me to the new tables... This may have gone undetected for weeks otherwise... :-)
Is this true? I wonder how The Bride of Pinbot would handle from Zen's censorship? I bet it'll be nerfed more than any other preceding table, no doubt!
Ahh, you mentioned Galloping Ghost, the largest Arcade in the world....I love that place and live 20 mins from it.... Been there 2 times during the Covid era. Still need to hit up the pinball room in the other building
Love your reviews. Dr Dude is one of my fav although I never managed to become a Super Dude 😅 I feel like space stations’ flippers are so difficult to control. I can never achieve good score playing it.
Space Station is one of my favorites in real life. They had a vote..or there was a vote for which table should be next to be added, I don't remember who or when but I of course voted for Space Station and there was a ton of fans who also wanted this one. But they did a shitty job by simulating super bright led rather than warm bulbs which set a beautiful mood for it.
This table pack is amazing! It's just a shame that I've had a few issues with the game recently, like how it now runs too slow on my GTX 1440Ti laptop, or that the Switch version would crash on me at times. I do hope they'll get ironed out soon. I also think they should release a stand alone OS for these tables with a Teen rating, so that they wouldn't have to keep censoring them.

Thanks for covering this pack. I'm running it on PBFX3 Steam, on a DIY pinball cabinet. The PC, and graphics card are good, and this pack is the only one performing like Toyshock's Haunted House, wave 1. Fingers crossed they patch it, soon. I've also been noticing symptoms of memory leaks with this pack. Only after this pack was installed, did my desktop start showing up black, or icons went black. Not good. I also had to search the web for hours, to find decent backglass images. Then, I had to rename them to what the game was expecting to find, to display them on the backglass. Wouldn't it be cool if cabinet mode users didn't have to search the web through thousands of dodgy files, that could have viruses, and malware? LOL
How can I purchase them on my iPad? I have the Williams app, but there is nothing where I can purchase it outright. There's only options to buy tokens??? :/

I'm seriously looking at the new upcoming Arcade1up Attack From Mars mini pinball machine with 10 built in Williams tables. It uses an Android version of Pinball FX3. Have you ever played the Android version of Pinball FX3, and if so, is it any good? I'm like you, I love my Steam version, and I know the Android version won't be as visually stunning, but does the Android version produce a good enough facsimile of these Williams tables in your opinion? Mel Kirk from Zen tweeted yesterday that they are working on a video that they will release later in the week. This video will show the Arcade 1Up Marvel cabinet and explain how they coded their software to Arcade 1Up's specific hardware. It is basically not their stock Android version so we'll have to see how it plays.

I'm currently playing the DLC pack on my switch but I'm having physics issues in Classic Mode on Fun House that is really destroying the pack for me. Every single time on ball return on the right it will hit something on the right side causing the ball to ricochet to the left and land on my left flipper and never in my right. This issue doesn't exist in normal single player mode, just classic. :| I'm getting really fed up with the physics problems in the switch build.

Wish they'd pick up the SEGA licence. Tables like Batman For Ever , Star War Trilogy and my personal favorite Baywatch are flippin (get it?) awesome. Personally i favor dmd tables.
I actually play these tables on Android but still find most of the content of your videos applicable. I just wanted to add my device is 4+64GB and to there is still a little frame skipping. Also gotta agree with you about the no inlanes thing, those slingshots are a nightmare. Appreciate the vids cheers
I downloaded this version last night and was very disappointed at the extremely locked paywall. I chose to start out with Space Shuttle and now its the only game I can play? For free play I understand this, but to locked to one single game where it takes 10s of hours of that game to open another? So I went to buy some points to purchase they pack out right and was shocked to discover that its literally twice as much as to buy as it is on any other platform.
@@lorenmorgan1931 Yep definitely agree. I got the app on release and apart from spending around £10 initially I've managed to grind enough to unlock all tables. Of course now we're on vol6 so much more grinding to do as more table packs are released. All the of micro transactions and multiple in game currencies not to mention all the over the top cosmetics have turned it into something it should never have been. I honestly believe Zen wish they had delivered it differently to mobile because it sure is unpopular.
@@eardwulf785 How long did it take you to grind through? Had I realized I was picking a table I would be locked to to grind through Space Station wouldn't have been my first. I think the next challenge for me to open a next table is 8mil in 5 minutes, and I am missing something in Space Station that pays bigtime without the bonus.
Like I mentioned when I started grinding there was only volume one so much less table parts to collect than someone starting now with 21 tables to find the parts for. I soon realised that to get each table to level four it would cost in total 170 parts and almost 4000 tickets. I was then surprised to discover that a further payment of 100 coins was necessary to properly 'own' the table/s. However once you've maxed out on all parts the challenges reward you with coins and tickets which soon accumulate. So I grinded in between releases to be prepared to spend coins on the loot box for that volume to get the tables up to two stars and therefore in the arcade. Tbh, the tables are just the same at 2 stars as fully upgraded. My advice would be to look out for offers and pay for a table to increase available challenges. Blahcade podcast on TH-cam has some fantastic tips for progressing on the mobile platform.
@@lorenmorgan1931 Space Station is tough. 5 min challenge you can't fail. One ball challenge can take a good few attempts and even survival mode can take time if you don't make the right shots. I find lighting the roll overs help but really I just aim to re-dock for multi ball. I've noticed the clock doesn't stop when the game pauses just before re-docking which can be a game killer.
I've only played FunHouse on Classic Arcade a lot so far. It is great fun and of-course not too complicated. It is though punishing, and it also has a few unfair things e.g. if you hit Rudy, about one out of 10 shots end up going down the left outlane. I am though critical of their of their Classic Arcade ball physics. The balls feels to me more like a hard heavy rubber ball than a metal ball. The bounce is excessive and slow / latent and not fast and immediate as you would expect. Either way, it is something that you can get used to and that you have to take into consideration when you play it.

For someone who has Never played a real pinball table, you sure are an expert on ball physics. How Zen has them is how Real pinball tables work, If you didn't just watch Papa videos, where they always have the highest slant and fast as fuck then you would actually know it is NOT how the avearge home use pinball table is set up. The ball is suppose to slow down towards the middle and bottom just like how Zen does have them now.The bounce is NOT slow or excessive because then real tables would be wrong according to you. Did YOU or any of the morons at Steam who have NEVER played a real table realize that what is in the game is probably how ZEN's tables that they use in real life react, as that is what they go on. Seriously, computers today can render fog, rain, and ambient light through it all AND on the fly with hordes of zombies attacking, etc. Zen pinball has utilized this processing power with computer programming finesse that has leapfrogged them above all their competitors by incorporating impeccable physics, immediate perspective changes, countless animations, and even prior 3-D (my biggest complaint with FX3 by far!). So, Mr. Crow, how the $&!%%**#€£!!!??? does it take 10 months to figure out how to emulate a blinking alpha numeric display??!!??! I almost thought you were kidding when you claimed this as a massive programming challenge! Look, I personally used to program but way back in the 90s so I am not a normie. However please explain what I am missing about why this is a programming challenge. 🙏 P.S. Do you have any inside word on what the 100th Zen FX3 table will be? We are finally here! I hope it is some form of bombastic multi player field originals and table perhaps incorporating their other original table characters in one. 👍🎉
That was the (only) official indication Zen gave of why the tables were delayed. The beta testers had Vol 6 already in about March. The Blahcade podcast guys are beta testers and they explained when they got it, the score display was only working in View 8 but not on the popul display in any other view. They also explained that The Pinball Arcade (which they also beta tested for) had to cheat to get the alphanumeric displays to show reasonably. It was nowhere near perfect and there were lots of issues with the gameplay and the display going out of sync. Zen decided to get it natively right once and for all and it turned out to be a much harder task than they ever anticipated. I agree that 10 months is excessive though. They could have brought out other tables they have been working on that has nothing to do with alphanumeric displays. A lot of people are clamoring for some new originals and also for the implementation of their newest Williams Classic Arcade physics on the older tables.
Looks like they really went all out and upped the game on these tables. Guess I have to buy them now. Thanks for the vid as always!

As a child, I played a space station, but back then the table seemed too hard.
Dr. Dude is so 80s, it hurts. Yeah it was released in 1990, but the real 90s wouldn't happen until September 1991

Dr. Dude’s animation falls into the Uncanny Valley for me.

I also experience more framrate dips on these compared with other tables on Xbox One X. Hopefully there will be a patch.

Seriously, computers today can render fog, rain, and ambient light through it all AND on the fly with hordes of zombies attacking, etc. Zen pinball has utilized this processing power with computer programming finesse that has leapfrogged them above all their competitors by incorporating impeccable physics, immediate perspective changes, countless animations, and even prior 3-D (my biggest complaint with FX3 by far!).
So, Mr. Crow, how the $&!%%**#€£!!!??? does it take 10 months to figure out how to emulate a blinking alpha numeric display??!!??! I almost thought you were kidding when you claimed this as a massive programming challenge! Look, I personally used to program but way back in the 90s so I am not a normie. However please explain what I am missing about why this is a programming challenge.

P.S. Do you have any inside word on what the 100th Zen FX3 table will be? We are finally here! I hope it is some form of bombastic multi player field originals and table perhaps incorporating their other original table characters in one. 👍🎉
That was the (only) official indication Zen gave of why the tables were delayed. The beta testers had Vol 6 already in about March. The Blahcade podcast guys are beta testers and they explained when they got it, the score display was only working in View 8 but not on the popul display in any other view. They also explained that The Pinball Arcade (which they also beta tested for) had to cheat to get the alphanumeric displays to show reasonably. It was nowhere near perfect and there were lots of issues with the gameplay and the display going out of sync. Zen decided to get it natively right once and for all and it turned out to be a much harder task than they ever anticipated.
I agree that 10 months is excessive though. They could have brought out other tables they have been working on that has nothing to do with alphanumeric displays. A lot of people are clamoring for some new originals and also for the implementation of their newest Williams Classic Arcade physics on the older tables.
