Crow Pinball I’m glad they are giving us these again. As much time as I have spent with Farsighted tables I have to say they feel a bit heavy to me... which is probably more realistic, I don’t know. I suck at real life pinball because I never get a chance to practice anywhere. But I can usually play on Zen tables much better. Medieval Madness is a good example. Always struggled to get the wizard mode in PA, picked it up just screwing around in FX3 and almost immediately did it, on my first ball with 2 extras awarded nonetheless. I can’t explain it, it’s just a hair easier.
Hello, have you done or can you do a ranking of the Zen original tables, and/or the other packs like Universal, Jurassic park, Aliens, Bethesda, Marvel, Star Wars, etc.? You do a great job and would like to hear your thoughts on those. Thank you,
Great video! I agree with the rankings of your packs! I'd say only when they are on sale. I actually find the FX3 tables a bit harder than PA on Classic Single-player. Don't play the Williams on Single-player mode. It has the Zen physics that you'll find on their originals and most of the Marvel/SW tables. You can try them out but I dislike the timed aspect. It's too short.
@@bigpileofpuke Yes As mentioned the 'single player mode' has Zen Physics if you've played their tables before, it's easier to keep the ball in play and cradle the ball. In 'classic single-player', you have more realistic physics. It has arcade mode and Tournament mode where the angle is lifted and balls fall faster.
@@Fighterfan69 The standard Zen physics mode on the Williams tables is easier and less realistic than the arcade modes, but definitely better than the awful "pinball on the moon" physics of the Zen designs.
Well, they've only just got into emulating the alpha numeric tables, so I think they will focus more on them before expanding with other legacy TPA tables with a Dot Matrix display, especially with things that effect their spot in Pinball FX 3 as of now. Cactus Canyon is an unfinished table, so I suspect they may want to track down a hacked version that's actually finished before emulating it. Who Dunnit contains content involving murder and gambling, Jack*Bot is all about gambling, Scared Stiff stars a character best known for reasons that are too sexist for E10+, and a large number of other Williams/Bally Dot Matrix tables in TPA are tied with licenses with some harder to obtain than others. Hopefully they will be able to acquire those rights one way or another in the future and make a compromise to have Teen rated tables, by making a separate stand alone collection for consoles that removes the censorship and allows the addition of PG13 type tables as an exclusive to that collection.
Crow, Great look at the Zen Williams pinball tables and also, WHAT GREAT TIMING! We'll have to see if your top 10 makes it into the upcoming Arcade1up mini-pin! It's going to have ten of the Williams Zen tables! We know it'll at least have one of your top 10 picks, Attack From Mars, because that's the styling of the cabinet. I love the fact it'll have a real DMD and actual solenoids, so you'll be able to feel the action! And unlike the recent Toy Shock pin, which used buttons to nudge the table (nothing wrong with that, of course), it will instead have a built in accelerometer, so you'll be able to push the actual cabinet to make nudges! Now don't get me wrong, I like my Haunted House Toy Shock, but it will be cool to have some Williams tables in a Pinball form factor. From what they showed at CES, it looked fantastic and they've said it will retail for around $500 - $700. I personally fell in love with Tales Of Arabian Nights when it was the free pack-in with Pinball Arcade. I had so much fun playing it that it took awhile before I actually started buying Pinball Arcade tables. And of course, I can't get enough of Attack From Mars! Thanks for the vid! vgv
MutantAli3n, Pinball Arcade, the PC Edition on Steam, is my Jam! And do I think Pinball Arcade is dead? That's actually a good question. I guess my answer would be, I hope not. I find the pinball physics in Pinball Arcade, at least all the titles in their main "Non-Stern" spinoff edition (although I still like their Stern Edition), to be way more accurate than the Zen versions. Zen is a cool company, don't get me wrong, but they just haven't been able to match up to the accuracy of replicating a real pinball machine that Pinball Arcade was able to achieve. This is of course just my opinion, as there are others who would disagree with my assessment. I was lucky enough to buy all the Bally Williams and other table packs from Pinball Arcade before they lost their licenses. So it's hard for me to double dip and re-buy those tables again in their Zen iterations, especially when they don't play as accurately (again, my opinion). I know there's an added bonus to buying the Zen versions, namely the remixed animation mode, but I never cared for that look. I want the real pinball experience, so classic mode for me. I really do hope Pinball Arcade gets the licenses to the Bally and Williams tables back. I'm so happy to still be able to play Addams Family, Xenon, the Elvira pins, and of course, the Black Knight tables. I want others to have the same chance to play these great games as well :) vgv
@@videogamevegasYeOldeAccount Interesting... I have my opinions on it (like everybody does ;-) ) but would you mind explaining what you don't like / find realistic about the FX3 Classic Arcade / Tournament physics and other way around, why you prefer / find Pinball Arcade more realistic?
Have you seen the Arcade1up pinball machines at CES2020? The Mars Attack one looks awesome. It suppose to have 10 games. I’m guessing all Williams FX3 tables.
Will you be picking up the arcade1up virtual pinball? They said it will have 10 of these tables by zen and I gotta think the ten will come from pinball fx3 ??
I got all tables. But my personal ranking looks quite different :) 1. Theatre of Magic (by far my favorite table!) 2. Medieval Madness (so funny) 3. Cirqus Voltaire (crazy and funny) 4. Road Show (great voice comments, great music, cool gameplay) 5. Attack from Mars (quite straightforward game play) 6. Monster Bash (very funny, but somehow repetitive) 7. Tales of The Arabian Nights (quite diversified gameplay) 8. Creature from the Black Lagoon 9. White Water (ok but not as good as I hoped) 10. Champions Pub (funny!) 11. No Good Golfers (too difficult) 12. Hurricane (not as bad as I thought) 13. The Getaway Highspeed II (quite boring to me and full of clichés ) 14. Fish Tales 15. Junk Yard (funny but boring) 16. Black Rose 17. The Party Zone (very quirky... and annoying sound) 18. Safe Cracker (very strange concept)

So far, only one new pack was released since this video. So it'll take quite a while before he updates this list or make a follow-up. By the way, Zen actually does season bundles when they already have the featured tables for that season, and Season 1 of Williams Pinball only contains the first four packs for that collection. So perhaps, a good time to update the list would be no sooner than once season 2 is available.
I hated Party Zone at first but it as grown on me a lot the left hand ramp shot like you said crow is really satisfying i would love to try the real life table out i have never seen one anywhere on location.
I am really trying to fall in love with Zen's stuff but I just can't get my head around the animations that simply do not exist on the real tables etc. Wish there was a mode in which you can disable every toy-like effect.
Thanks for this video and some advice for taking a decision if We want to buy a certain pack. Although I am not a Williams fan; Just to complete the collection.
Here is every table that I would like on Williams Pinball (on iPad) once the vision is complete: - Fireball, Firepower, Firepower II - Eight Ball and Eight Ball Deluxe - Flash - Gorgar - Black Knight and Black Knight 2000 - Centaur - Space Shuttle and Space Station - Sorcerer - Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane - High Speed and The Getaway: High Speed II - Pin*Bot, The Machine: Bride of Pin*Bot and Jack*Bot - F-14 Tomcat - Party Animal, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Dr. Dude, and Party Zone - Fire! - Taxi - Banzai Run - Swords of Fury - Earthshaker and Whirlwind (table pack) - Diner - FunHouse - Harley Davidson - Terminator 2: Judgement Day - The Addams Family - Black Rose - Doctor Who - Fish Tales - Creature from the Black Lagoon and Monster Bash - White Water - Bram Stoker’s Dracula - Twilight Zone - Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure - Judge Dredd - Star Trek: The Next Generation - World Cup Soccer - Demolition Man - The Flintstones - Corvette - Road Show - The Shadow - Dirty Harry - Theatre of Magic - No Fear: Dangerous Sports - Indianapolis 500 - Johnny Mnemonic - Who Dunnit - Attack from Mars - Tales of the Arabian Nights - Safe Cracker - Scared Stiff - Junk Yard - Cirqus Voltaire - Medieval Madness - No Good Gofers - The Champion Pub - Monster Bash - Revenge from Mars
Nice. Little late for this just starting to get back into pinball. here are my packs ranked 1. Volume 5 - No good Gofers being my favorite table. ToAN is a fun table too so that's a plus. Meh on CV 2.Volume 2 - I actually like Black Rose. Likely because of the theme. Attack from Mars I like better than MM 3. Volume 1 - Medieval Madness and High Speed definitely the high points of this pack. 4. Universal Pack - Monster Bash would be tied with table pack 1 but the other tables edged it out. 5. Volume 6 - Funhouse is so much fun. I like that they added a table that wasn't in PA. Dr Dude is ok. 6. Volume 4 - White Water and Road Show are fun. 7. Volume 3 - The only table I like is Theater of Magic. It's fun to try and get all the magic shows/tricks etc.
Hey! I am relatively new to Pinball FX3. However, I love the Getaway Table as well. The best part for me is that ZZ Top‘s La Grange is playing as music. Greetings from Germany!
I´m really surprised that you didn´t like Junk Yard this time, because back on Season 3 of Pinball Arcade you were praising this table and you put it on the number 2 spot on the list.
@@CrowContinuum you know the next tables!!!!! How :) I had every thing from pinball arcade but don't play it anymore as feel pbfx is better, I do miss bride of pinbot though 🤔
I still have a chance to play Junk Yard real table in my city. I can boast that as a boy I also played real pinball tables Road Show, Arabian Nights, Monster Bash and some other Stern tables. Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina
@@CrowContinuum You should Crow. Its really good but id read a steam guide before you do as the game has no tutorial or guide. Would love to see you do a review on it eventually!
You already covered Volume 6 in the other video I do think more tables are coming, the Pinbot trilogy is entirely missing along with T2 and a few others, pretty sure the other big two pinball companies will be joining in 2022 and letting FX3 go full force into better long term investments
For me most Pinball Tables became epic because of the Audio Samples they Used ! Dr Hook...I lost my Marbles WWF Royal Rumble...Pandemonium, Let's get Ready to Rumble Pool Shark.. Go for the Trickshot ! The Adams Family...Thing , lend a Hand Road Show.. Friday ! Just to name some..
Road Show, if you keep on playing it, eventually, with the re-wind you will see what an amazing table it is, with many opportunities to get 6 extra balls in one game. Some of the sub-games are good too.
That's why I love the back to the future table. You can stack the skateboard Multiball, out of time multi ball and flux capacitor Multiball. It gets crazy
Nice rundown and excellent editing! I prefer the tables to play a little more challenging and you also seem to like that. I would probably have Vol 4 as my top ranked above Universal Monsters and Vol 5 as I found none of those tables challenging relative to the Vol 4; Vacation Jackpot and Super Payday are both tough as nails to get! Attack from Mars also rate highly for me and one of my proudest moments in the game was getting Ruler of the Universe on Classic Arcade! I agree with you that Medieval Madness is though the better table because of the multiball variability and strategy (i.e. play it differently depending on if you going for castles or points). Interestingly enough, I've avoided the tables you have at the bottom because they just seem little fun. I've barely touched Champion Pub, Safe Cracker, and Black Rose but also No Good Gophers because of the scoring bug that Zen must first sort out. I enjoy all the tables once I get into them a bit, but some I'll never go back to again because they have little to them. My pinball playing has also shifted away from the Zen originals and that has mostly to do with Classic Arcade / Tournament physics so I really hope Zen design their new originals with Classic Arcade / Tournament physics from the getgo.
@@CrowContinuum Your score gets halved for No Good reason on No Good Gophers ;-) Zen showed they are working on it so it should be sorted soon. They will do more originals... there has been more than enough hints.
The real Circus Voltaire machine has a (real) balloon rise from the "Boom" feature and you have to knock it out with the pinball..I don't know why they don't try and recreate this in the FX version it would look so cool.
@@CrowContinuum In fact, now I remember the one I played (about 20 years ago) had been modified with a small pink balloon attached by the operator as was a "one off" and I thought it was a an original manufacture...Sorry.
I dont dislike Hurricane because of it being too simple for being an old-school table, but rather because it makes me feel depressed and uneasy...everything about this table screams "Worn out entertainers at a carnival about to go psycho and gruesomely kill children while still wearing their getups", and I think the colours have a bit to do with it, they are very "light", and not very intense, so it gives a sort of run-down impression in my opinion. At least this is how I feel most of the time X3 It rubs me the wrong way in any case. XD @ Junkyard minigame, I kinda love it, it really makes me brush up on my reflexes, also, Junkyard can be a pain when the day decides to be a ball-hungry one and drain all the time, but I kinda like this one otherwise, I get a bit of a Neil Gaimann feel from it to be honest. I have played it in real life though, so that probably helps my enjoyment. I think I played Black Rose in real life one day and IIRC it was much more spectacular in person that in a video game. I agree about The Party Zone, just hearing that music used to make me cringe, but it is indeed growing on me because of the wackiness...and I also seem to have a vague memory of playing this one in real life. I agree about Red & Ted too, Ive a vague memory of playing this one IRL too, and IIRC it was kinda obtruse there too, but not just as much. Theathre of Magic was indeed more of a thing when playing it for real, but I like giving it a spin from time to time here too. Dont remember if I played Circus Voltaire in real life, but between the ugly character, the whole acrobatic circus theme and the music, I dont like it very much, at least not at the time of writing this comment. I love Fish Tales when managing to nail those U-Turns and stuff, and the long shots and whatnot, but after playing it for a long time the voice clips and such grate a bit on me. I absolutely love Tales of Arabian Nights, both irl and in PFX3, I also love that there are so many ways to go about how to do things, and that you get the main objectives (Jewels) from the Bazaar, and fighting the Genie is pretty awesome with that music~ I have to take a break every now and then though, because the sounds and music can get a bit grating after extended playing. Gotta love Attack From Mars, it gets me pretty pumped, it keeps you on your toes with the sudden bounces and how quickly the ball comes back sometimes, and making those long shots at the saucer is just amazingly satisfying! And it is a lot of the same with Medieval Madness, though it has to be said that MM is a bit busy at times in comparison with the artwork and all the thingies and stuff, but thats a minor thing. Ooh, yes, the multiballs in MM
I've been going through your pinball videos lately and I've enjoyed them all. Ended up getting Volume 1 first since Medieval Madness has won me over. Here's hoping Funhouse makes it to FX3; I just want to see how Zen would enhance Rudy.
Red and Ted is a bit more fun in real life. There is something off about this one. Half my first plunges/skill shot attempts end up going straight down the middle. Ball save does kick in, but it’s annoying and not how the real table plays. As is, I think you have it in the right spot.
They have got to start pushing the tables slot quicker I no it takes time but 3 months time slot for 3 tables is way to long at that rate if they going to release anyway near that of Pba it will take about 10 yrs
Quality editing. Love how you displayed the gameplay here with the commentary. As ever great list, mostly agree 👍

Basically every WMS table made by Steve Ritchie, Pat Lawlor, and Dennis Nordman should be on here in the future
What is yoour favourite table, Crow? btw, i love this kind of videos and the chroma was a nice addition.
I have most of these tables already on Pinball Arcade. Should I rebuy them again on Pinball FX3?
I'd say only when they are on sale. I actually find the FX3 tables a bit harder than PA on Classic Single-player. Don't play the Williams on Single-player mode. It has the Zen physics that you'll find on their originals and most of the Marvel/SW tables. You can try them out but I dislike the timed aspect. It's too short.
@@Fighterfan69 Okay thanks for the tip. Are the physics different on other modes?
@@bigpileofpuke Yes As mentioned the 'single player mode' has Zen Physics if you've played their tables before, it's easier to keep the ball in play and cradle the ball. In 'classic single-player', you have more realistic physics. It has arcade mode and Tournament mode where the angle is lifted and balls fall faster.
@@Fighterfan69 The standard Zen physics mode on the Williams tables is easier and less realistic than the arcade modes, but definitely better than the awful "pinball on the moon" physics of the Zen designs.
Any tips on how to get the trophy: Contender?
@@CrowContinuum, I did it, thanks for the tip.
I'd sure like to see more. We haven't even caught up with what PA lost.
Crow,
Great look at the Zen Williams pinball tables and also, WHAT GREAT TIMING!

Do you like pinball arcade? Do you think it's dead? Because they lost a lot of tables
MutantAli3n,
Pinball Arcade, the PC Edition on Steam, is my Jam!
I want others to have the same chance to play these great games as well :)

@@videogamevegasYeOldeAccount thanks I prefer pinball arcade too👍
@@videogamevegasYeOldeAccount Interesting... I have my opinions on it (like everybody does ;-) ) but would you mind explaining what you don't like / find realistic about the FX3 Classic Arcade / Tournament physics and other way around, why you prefer / find Pinball Arcade more realistic?
Videogame Vegas Thought I saw on the retail box at CES, Black Rose and Party Zone. However all could change.
How do you rate them over the Visual Pinball versions?
Have you seen the Arcade1up pinball machines at CES2020? The Mars Attack one looks awesome. It suppose to have 10 games. I’m guessing all Williams FX3 tables.
No crow how can u have medieval madness ranked at 6
It’s my favourite table
Will you be picking up the arcade1up virtual pinball? They said it will have 10 of these tables by zen and I gotta think the ten will come from pinball fx3 ??
I got all tables. But my personal ranking looks quite different :)
1. Theatre of Magic (by far my favorite table!)
2. Medieval Madness (so funny)
3. Cirqus Voltaire (crazy and funny)
4. Road Show (great voice comments, great music, cool gameplay)
5. Attack from Mars (quite straightforward game play)
6. Monster Bash (very funny, but somehow repetitive)
7. Tales of The Arabian Nights (quite diversified gameplay)
8. Creature from the Black Lagoon
9. White Water (ok but not as good as I hoped)
10. Champions Pub (funny!)
11. No Good Golfers (too difficult)
12. Hurricane (not as bad as I thought)
13. The Getaway Highspeed II (quite boring to me and full of clichés )
14. Fish Tales
15. Junk Yard (funny but boring)
16. Black Rose
17. The Party Zone (very quirky... and annoying sound)
18. Safe Cracker (very strange concept)
you forgot funhouse
Great video. Arcade 1Up just announced the game lineup for their virtual Attack From Mars Pin cab with 10 of these games on it. Wasn't familiar with any of these except the title and Medieval Madness. Thanks for the info...Subscribed.
Well, to me, it's like this:
1-Medieval Madness
2-Tales of the Arabian Nights
3-Theatre of Magic
4-Attack from Mars
5-Monster Bash
6-Fish Tales
7-Junkyard
8-Creature from the Black Lagoon
9-Red & Ted's Road Show
10-Cirqus Voltaire
11-White Water
12-The Getaway
13-Champion Pub
14-No Good Gofers
15-Safe Cracker
16-Hurricane
17-The Party Zone
18-Black Rose
hallo!! i have a question pls, about zaccaria game, what categories are also in real life tables? and an idea, you could make a video review for the reward tables. i unlocked 4 atm, waiting for xbox update to add more tables and make it easier to unlock more. There are nice tables, any drop targets there , i like drop targets!!! thanks!
*many drop targets
Awesome review, thanks Crow !
My three favorite are Creature from the black lagoon, Circus Voltaire, and Road Show
Any pinball tables with a spooky/horror/monster movie theme are automatically top tier.
@@CrowContinuum I really only see it as one table pack. 2020 was a very dry year for Zen Studios. I hope things will pick up again this year!
I like Monster mash quite a bit and the gopher golf one are my favorites.
I hated Party Zone at first but it as grown on me a lot the left hand ramp shot like you said crow is really satisfying i would love to try the real life table out i have never seen one anywhere on location.
You can manipulate the chances of the board game in Safecracker by disabling alarms and gathering awards. It's not ALL luck...
I am really trying to fall in love with Zen's stuff but I just can't get my head around the animations that simply do not exist on the real tables etc. Wish there was a mode in which you can disable every toy-like effect.
@@CrowContinuum Thank you! Since then, I purchased the entire Williams collection, love them all!
Damn I miss all your old crooow plays.. :(... I guess I could rewatch them..
Good review crow
You should do a top 10 list of the best Zaccaria tables, I know the Time Machine and Blackbelt remakes would be on mine
Black belt and earth wind fire are probably my favourite. 😃
Finally a good vídeo about pinball 👍👍
Thanks for this video and some advice for taking a decision if We want to buy a certain pack. Although I am not a Williams fan; Just to complete the collection.

- Fire!
- Taxi
- Banzai Run
- Swords of Fury
- Earthshaker and Whirlwind (table pack)
- Diner
- FunHouse
- Harley Davidson

- Tales of the Arabian Nights
- Safe Cracker
- Scared Stiff
- Junk Yard
- Cirqus Voltaire
- Medieval Madness
- No Good Gofers
- The Champion Pub
- Monster Bash
- Revenge from Mars
Nice. Little late for this just starting to get back into pinball. here are my packs ranked
1. Volume 5 - No good Gofers being my favorite table. ToAN is a fun table too so that's a plus. Meh on CV
2.Volume 2 - I actually like Black Rose. Likely because of the theme. Attack from Mars I like better than MM
Great video!! Excellent review! “Champion pub” deserves a better place, jaja! I’ll try to buy the volume 5...
Hey! I am relatively new to Pinball FX3. However, I love the Getaway Table as well. The best part for me is that ZZ Top‘s La Grange is playing as music.
Greetings from Germany!
great video
I´m really surprised that you didn´t like Junk Yard this time, because back on Season 3 of Pinball Arcade you were praising this table and you put it on the number 2 spot on the list.
Nice review!
You’re right about Cirqus Voltaire, the lighting is amazing on a real life table. Neither TPA or FX3 really capture it well.
They done a decent job I've bought every one so far but come on zen where are the new tables it's been months now
Excellent vid thanks.
What would you like to see released next, you should make a video about that :)
@@CrowContinuum you know the next tables!!!!! How :) I had every thing from pinball arcade but don't play it anymore as feel pbfx is better, I do miss bride of pinbot though 🤔
I would like to see _The Addams Family,_ _Twilight Zone,_ and _Star Trek: The Next Generation_
If you miss the upper flipper shot in Black Rose, it puts you in the left side outlane EVERY... FLIPPING.... TIME.... it's frustrating.
I still have a chance to play Junk Yard real table in my city. I can boast that as a boy I also played real pinball tables Road Show, Arabian Nights, Monster Bash and some other Stern tables. Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina
Hey Crow you should check out "Demons Tilt" on Steam.
Love to see you do a review on it!
@@CrowContinuum You should Crow. Its really good but id read a steam guide before you do as the game has no tutorial or guide. Would love to see you do a review on it eventually!
I wish fx3 would do a Ghostbusters game! #Ghostbusters pinball pinball fx3 :)
You already covered Volume 6 in the other video
I do think more tables are coming, the Pinbot trilogy is entirely missing along with T2 and a few others, pretty sure the other big two pinball companies will be joining in 2022 and letting FX3 go full force into better long term investments
For me most Pinball Tables became epic because of the Audio Samples they Used !
Dr Hook...I lost my Marbles
WWF Royal Rumble...Pandemonium, Let's get Ready to Rumble
Pool Shark.. Go for the Trickshot !
The Adams Family...Thing , lend a Hand
Road Show..
There's a balloon that you can hit instead of the bumper in the enhanced graphics setting, which you can toggle at any time.
Funhouse was just announced (Volume 6: along with Dr. Dude and Space Station)!
Theatre of Magic ❤
1. Tales of the Arribean Night
2. Fish Tales
3. Goofy Golfers
Love pinball fx3. Now I play a lot the family guy table.
My favorite williams pin in pinball fx3 is black rose because its more fun for when you sink the ships😀😀😀
Did you get the white light returned to Earth let one aliens attack
Red and Ted is a bit more fun in real life. There is something off about this one. Half my first plunges/skill shot attempts end up going straight down the middle. Ball save does kick in, but it’s annoying and not how the real table plays. As is, I think you have it in the right spot.
I don't know why but I prefer pinball arcade shame they lost the licenses
They have got to start pushing the tables slot quicker I no it takes time but 3 months time slot for 3 tables is way to long at that rate if they going to release anyway near that of Pba it will take about 10 yrs
