Everyday I have the blues- JM alternate take

Found a video on youtube of Mr. Mayer playing this tune in a funky way...dug it. Decided to try to play it. I find its really hard at first to get the tempo right and sing it at the same time (at least it was for me). I changed the main riff slightly to give it a bit more funk and played this on a late 50s Dan Electro straight through to a Fender solid state Delux 85 with the gain and boost all the way up :) Fun stuff, especially with Jay there on the upright. Now all we needed was a drummer...

WOW you have a REALLY great ear! In fact this is exactly the same rig i used on my record's live cut of sweet little angel. Its a Fender Deluxe 85 with the distortion and boost channel on high. No pedals on this one... though on the live recording i may have been playing also through an Ibanez TS9 in addition to the amp's distorted channel. Again, awesome ear!
