I've been celibate for almost 2 years this year, and I can admit that soul ties are soooo real! I used to have a sexual relationship with someone who was depressed and had no drive in life, and I actually started seeing those traits in me...but prior to that, I didn't really think they existed. I used to feel like if I don't give someone sex then I won't be enough for him and in order for me to be treated well I had to give him sex..basically saw it as a currency. But I'm no longer that person as I've got a renewed and transformed mind in Christ. I am worth it because He says so, I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I really needed this. Ever since I gave up my virginity I haven't been the same. It's been almost 3 years. The hardest thing for me was drifting away from God and my spirituality becoming weak. I've been struggling to reconnect with God, it's just been really hard.

Don't stop... I was celibate and decided to just stop. Biggest mistake I ever made in life, not only did I just feel like my life was falling apart piece by piece I felt stagnant... During that period I learned that the guy I was dating was a devil worshiper! It's not worth, trying to get back to the life I was living before has been really tough... N also to touch abit on what Mpumi said about soul ties the guy I slept with was a smoker n for a few months I found myself enjoying cigarettes from nowhere, prior to that I cudnt stand cigarettes... But God has been good to me, I'm well on my way back to being my normal self.

Guys.. soul ties are a real thing. Guard your heart & protect your body. I remember being in a sexual relationship with this guy and being soo addicted to him. And he was so mean to me. I was unwilling to just sit and listen to the Holy Spirit anymore, even at the point of not understanding why God would not just let him be the one. I was gonna make him the one for me. God's purpose and plan was unimportant to me. Looking back, I cannot even believe that was me.

I think the important message is being cautious about who you sleep with. Personally I don't believe the marriage institution is what legitimatizes a relationship, contrary to popular belief. It's really up to the individuals in the relationship. So married or not, it is still important to take care of yourself and be mindful of who you share your body with because at the end of the day, sex is still an exhange between individuals and I think that's how it got reserved for marriage. But remember even married people can still sleep around.
Do not let people guilt trip you into marriage for the sake of having sex "in holy matrimony". Human beings are sexual beings - it is okay to want to have sex, it is okay to have sex. Just don't be wreckless about it and take care of yourself. All the best.

Friends ask me all the time"Chomie did you get raped or something 😅" it's so normal to them that when you say you ain't doing it you sound like a traumatized person. I am glad I took a decision to stop being with one with other people. I think since our education system is allowing sex education they should clearly teach kids about sexual ties as well. Yoh 🤧. This conversation is just so, so important! The perversion of relationships that are out there pull people away from God 💔 & this causes us to idolise our partners. So that desperation you should have for God we direct to our partners who cannot fill that void that only God can fill.
