The passion had for this game can't be matched, CS literally made the eSports community and looking back on it, I wish I had asked my brother just one more time, "can I try?"...

I remember when I first started playing this game back in 2004, was barely 8 yrs old. Ever since then I've played countless hours with friends, with random people from all over the world. I loved every part of it - the late night gaming, the tactics, the laughs the joy, the yelling over the mic with friends... The thing I enjoyed most is when we played gathers ( 5 on 5 ). Man I loved those on ESL so much... Now as I'm watching this video I feel like logging on on ESL and play some gathers but there are none left anymore and perhaps there will never be anymore : (
zonic's clutching ace at 1:50 is a masterpiece. This player was smart, outrageously decisive, his decision making, his moves... all was perfect. He was not always the best aimer. f0rest, GTR, NEO... were a bit higher in term of pure aim, but zonic showed several times he could be destructive. He also had a very good reputation, I think he is a very nice and cheeful lad. Clearly my favorite player. Professional players could be sometime a bit... mecanichal. zonic seemed a bit more human. He smiled a lot, despite he seemed also very dedicated to cs since he played it for almost 15 years at top level. I started to see his spiky hair when I was 11 or 12 in LAN events, dood I was just a child :P Anyway, this bulky guy was my cs hero. Especially in 2007, when NoA reached Final in ESWC versus PGS (NEO...). A legendary cs match that must be seen!

Been playing CS since 2002. Still playing CS:GO today. Remember going to CPL Summer 2004 to watch both CS, and the original CoD. If I remember right, EYEBallers beat SK in the finals, and United 5 won the CoD tournament.
We can agree that 1.6 can be better then CSGO, but never ever CSS is better then CSGO. Even the pro players agree that CSGO has more 1.6 essence then CSS. So don´t play the "Im a true gamer cause csgo sucks" role. But all in all Counter Strike, and eash one will like more one of them. Srry for my bad English :(
High level pro players have said more then one time that with csgo Counter Strike has made a very good job, cause it has the "esence" that 1.6 had, but css hadn´t. That´s because most of the tornaments were played in 1.6 even if css existed and from 1.6 they switched to csgo.
csgo is closest to css than to 1.6 imo... cs 1.6 has an amazing feel, nervous yet strategic, gun behaviour is tough to handle perfectly but feel smooth and right while csgo like css has a lot of no recoil bullshit at best and totally random behaving weapons at worse... hate these games so much

I didn't know people could be such closed-minded assholes. But then again, this is the internet. How about this, then. I played CS 1.6 for a year or 2 back in 2007. I wasn't that great at it, but I didn't suck at it either. After I found all the free fps games at steam, I abandoned CS 1.6, because it has been the same for so many years, unlike games like TF2, which get updated constantly as the weeks go on. So no, I don't play BF4. I play the campaign for that because I want to beat it, but I probably won't play multiplayer. I will however start playing TF2 again. I don't think the 1.6 community is so big. I barely ever hear about 1.6 because it's such an old, forgotten game. But I remember.

the memories of so many hours, weeks, months and Year's I spent tanning this game with some awesome people I met during the time I did. Wouldn't change it for a million pounds. 1.6 will always be a cherished part of my childhood memories.
damn. whatever people say, this game is really something special. instead of pubs, i played this with my teammates, made a shitload of friends in the process. these friendships still last, although all of us had to quit because of various reasons. i played counter-strike for 9 years, and I almost cry that that time of my live of now over.

It's been around 11 years since the first time I played CS. I spent a shit tons of time on this game when I was a kid. Good memories. This game is definitely a legend, and I am grateful to be there and witnessed its golden era. :)
Been playing CS since 2002. Still playing CS:GO today. Remember going to CPL Summer 2004 to watch both CS, and the original CoD. If I remember right, EYEBallers beat SK in the finals, and United 5 won the CoD tournament.

We can agree that 1.6 can be better then CSGO, but never ever CSS is better then CSGO.
Even the pro players agree that CSGO has more 1.6 essence then CSS.
So don´t play the "Im a true gamer cause csgo sucks" role.
But all in all Counter Strike, and eash one will like more one of them.

High level pro players have said more then one time that with csgo Counter Strike has made a very good job, cause it has the "esence" that 1.6 had, but css hadn´t.
That´s because most of the tornaments were played in 1.6 even if css existed and from 1.6 they switched to csgo.
csgo is closest to css than to 1.6 imo... cs 1.6 has an amazing feel, nervous yet strategic, gun behaviour is tough to handle perfectly but feel smooth and right while csgo like css has a lot of no recoil bullshit at best and totally random behaving weapons at worse... hate these games so much

I didn't know people could be such closed-minded assholes. But then again, this is the internet. How about this, then. I played CS 1.6 for a year or 2 back in 2007. I wasn't that great at it, but I didn't suck at it either. After I found all the free fps games at steam, I abandoned CS 1.6, because it has been the same for so many years, unlike games like TF2, which get updated constantly as the weeks go on. So no, I don't play BF4. I play the campaign for that because I want to beat it, but I probably won't play multiplayer. I will however start playing TF2 again. I don't think the 1.6 community is so big. I barely ever hear about 1.6 because it's such an old, forgotten game. But I remember.

They got fucked up in the process. I remember watching this vid some months ago it was perfectly fine. But in the main middle part of the video there is no music, i think it got removed because of copyright issues, so it messed up the sound now sadly.
