Matthew 23:37 & 38 precede vs. 39, which was Jesus telling them the end of Jerusalem and the temple was coming, as well as what he said in Matthew 24 about it's destruction. The remnant in Romans 11 did come to Christ. All the apostles did, as well as the 3,000 on the day of Pentecost. Then the gospel went to the Gentiles starting with Cornelius in Acts 10. The Jews can be saved now if they turn to Christ in faith and repentance. There won't be a second chance when Jesus comes back. They need the gospel now.

Modern day Israel is a secular nation that became a nation by political means, through a Zionist movement that began in the 1800s, and culminated in 1948 nationhood by the U.N. My two Jewish Christian friends told me that the people of Israel that live there now have no right to have that land because God took it back from the Jews in 70 AD when Jerusalem was destroyed. They are right too, because Jesus said this was going to happen in the gospels of Luke, Matthew & Mark. Read about it in Luke 21 for instance. That ended the old covenant age and the nation.
Modern day Israel is not the same as Israel in the Bible. Biblical Israel was God's covenant people for a time, until Jesus came and died on the cross for all of us, including the Jewish people of that old covenant. They looked forward to the Messiah and his sacrifice on the cross and we look back to him and the cross. We are all one in Christ, because there is no Jew or Gentile in Him (Ephesians 2:11-15). Galatians 3:28-29 says "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave[a] nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise." This is about the new covenant. We are the new covenant nation of God (see 1 Peter 2:9). Blessings to you in Jesus our Lord.

@@donnagarcia4541 Father GOD gave me a waking vision of in the clouds in a glorified body. I've never felt so well and the bag of burden I drag with me was GONE! I felt so lite and free like I could fly BUT it wasn't that big. Looked big enough for hundreds maybe thousands. The devil is counting on false hope and so many have it. False hope = when millions upon millions and now billions disappear in the rapture. These are the people that when their false hope is gone they will give up many just to eat.
I had a pestilence dream too. It was instant insanity as everyone tried to kill everyone else. Only a FEW are going in the rapture, all have had many chances with a relationship with Father and Brother. So many of you are missing it, Father and Brother are so kind and humble.
Breaks my heart. Jesus paid in pain to cover our sins and so many are missing it over temporary pleasures.

Which He did. The land promises that God made to Israel were fulfilled when Joshua led the descendants of Abraham into Palestine. As the book of Joshua records, “The Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their forefathers, and they took possession of it and settled there” (Joshua 21:43). Joshua reminded the children of Israel that the Lord had been faithful to His promises: “You know with all your heart and soul that NOT ONE of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. EVERY PROMISE has been fulfilled; NOT ONE has failed” (Joshua 23:14). Solomon, during whose reign the glorious temple was constructed, was equally unambiguous: “NOT ONE word has failed of all the good promises [the Lord] gave through his servant Moses” (1 Kings 8:56). In fact, at the height of the Solomonic kingdom, “the people of Judah and Israel were AS NUMEROUS AS THE SAND ON THE SEASHORE; they ate, they drank and they were happy. And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River [Euphrates] to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt” (1 Kings 4:20-21).
Furthermore, the land promises were fulfilled in the far future through Jesus, who provides true Israel with permanent rest from their wanderings in sin. The writer of Hebrews made clear that the rest the descendants of Abraham experienced when they entered the land is but a type of the rest we experience when we enter an eternal relationship with the Lord. The land provided temporal rest for the physical descendants of Abraham, but the Lord provides eternal rest for his spiritual descendants. The land was never the focus of our Lord; instead, our Lord is forever the focus of those who dwell in the land.
The quintessential point of understanding for the disciples began to dawn at the time of Christ’s post-resurrection appearances. Previously, they had been under the same misconceptions as modern-day Christian Zionists. They had expected Jesus to establish Jerusalem as the capital of a sovereign Jewish empire. The notion was so ingrained in their minds that, even as Jesus was about to ascend into heaven, they asked, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6). Jesus not only corrected their erroneous thinking but expanded their horizons from a tiny strip of land on the east coast of the Mediterranean to the farthest reaches of the earth: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, AND TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH” (Acts 1:8). In effect, Jesus left His disciples with instructions to exit Jerusalem, embrace the earth, and never again entertain the thought of establishing a Jewish theocracy.
Finally, the land promises will be fully and completely consummated when paradise lost is reconstituted as paradise restored. Canaan is thus typological of a renewed cosmos. Accordingly, Abraham was anything but a Zionist. Like Isaac and Jacob, he viewed living in the promised land in the same way that a stranger would view living in a foreign country. Why? Because as the writer of Hebrews made plain, “He was looking forward to a city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:10). Abraham looked beyond binding borders and boundaries to a day in which the meek would “inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5; cf. Ps. 37:11, 22).

No, not referring to the church. Btw, in Greek there is no word "church". When scripture translates the word to church, it is wrong. The word means " an Assembly or gathering.
We learn in Matthew 2:14-15 that Jesus Christ is Israel and is the ultimate fulfillment of the prophecy in Hosea 11:1. Jesus came out of Egypt, passed through the waters, and was tempted in the wilderness, just like Israel of old. National Israel failed to fulfill the Covenant of blessing as God's people as we read in Exodus 19:1-6. National Israel broke the Covenant God made with them (Jeremiah 11:10). Jesus, however, kept the Covenant law perfectly. As a perfect sinless Jew, Jesus kept all of the 10 commandments and through Him all the ceremonial laws were fully satisfied. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, succeeding where Old Covenant Israel had failed. He then took the law and nailed it to His cross (Colossians 2:14-17). Since only Jesus met all of the conditions of the Covenant, it's only in and through Him that the Covenant is fulfilled. True Israel does not exist outside of Jesus Christ!
The apostle Peter had Exodus 19:1-6 in mind when writing his first epistle and he saw it fulfilled in the Church through Jesus Christ (in whom we become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation). 1 Peter 2:5-9 helps one to see that the Covenant God made with Israel in Exodus 19 was fulfilled by the Church through Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:6 and 5:10 confirm that born again believers are kings and priests (royal priesthood) and are a holy nation unto the Lord. Romans 9:6-9 confirms that we are not considered children of God by being born a natural Jew, rather we are children of God through the singular seed of Abraham (Jesus Christ - True Israel). We become the Israel of God through Jesus Christ. The Jewish lineage lost relevance when Jesus Christ fulfilled what they failed to do. The only reason that lineage was of any significance and importance was because that's the lineage by which Jesus Christ would come, the singular seed of Abraham.
Jesus came to fulfill what was required for our salvation, but He also came to fulfill the requirements for obtaining the promises to Israel. The promises of God always had Jesus Christ in view! This is clearly seen as we read Galatians 3. Verse 16 establishes that the promises made to Abraham and his seed was always referring to Jesus Christ. Verse 29 then confirms a powerful truth regarding how we can only be Abraham's offspring spiritually through Jesus Christ, not through natural descent/bloodline. Jesus is Israel (a nation of one) and we enter this nation of One through obedient faith in the gospel (Acts 2:38).
God's dealing with the physical nation of Israel was only a type and shadow of God's plan for Israel ultimately being fulfilled in Jesus Christ and His Church (True Israel). Ephesians 1:3 declares that we receive the promised blessings of the Covenant in Jesus Christ. So the Church doesn't replace Israel, rather it's a continuation of Israel (all of the faithful who put their trust in a promised Deliverer). Israel is no longer identified as a nation of this world, but as a holy nation in Christ that is not of this world. Jesus Christ and the Church is the fulfillment of all Old Testament prophecies regarding Israel. Since Jesus is Israel and he fulfilled the law, there can be no separate plan of salvation outside of the Church for the so-called nation of Israel over in the middle east. All men must become the True Israel of God through faith in Jesus Christ (the fulfillment of Israel). There aren't two Israel's with two separate bodies. The Israel of God is the Church and is one body in Jesus Christ!@@patriciabarron7707
I agree but aren’t these the same people that Jesus battered from his church because they bargained and sold in his sacred place, arent these the same who hunted Mother Mary and Joseph the keeper of the church to make sure Jesus would be killed at birth , aren’t these the same people that did not believe the word of god when he sent his only son to be among them. Powerful massage! GLORY be to GOD! I stil stuck with one question in my life because for almost 48 years in my life here on earth and in a church I never see any pastor preaching or explaining the meaning of WORD of JESUS himself which je reveal to John babtist in REVELATION 2:9 and REVELATION 3:9.
All pastors kept preaching about Jews and telling us to pray for Israel? so I ask myself which Jews are in Israel right now? are the ones whom JESUS was talking about or they are different? and they are different where those Jews which JESUS was talking about?
For my experience and knowledge I can see clearly in PSALMS 83 that Romans, America and British they are the one which BIBLE talking about, so in that case the WORD of JESUS is clear.
So I believe for us to continue praying about Israel or those called Jews we are wasting our time and I think even GOD is laughing at us because we are praying for synagogue of satan wether we like it or not.
It is a time for the world to wake up otherwise many life's will perish in that land and that is what the devil looking for.

Wow, this is timely. Ever since October 7, 2023, a bunch of my neighbors who are Christian became very proudly antisemitic and full of bitterness and jealousy towards the Jewish people and Israel. Other Christians support Israel but they vehemently argued their replacement theology beliefs. I'm so glad to see this clip because it's so disheartening to see antisemitism within the church but I'm glad I'm not wrong for debating in favor of Israel.
