He has a giant bucket looking thing on top which is his reactor. This reactor could also work as a false head as well as protection for the conn pod.
Mark 1 jaegers looked weird because they were the first ones and i dont think it was realistic(in pacific rim context)to make super humanoid jaegers at the start,there is some kind of evolution with em like look at brawler yukon he looks hell weird all the mark 1 (exept horizon brave that was made using cherno as inspiration and same for coyote tango that used tacit ronin thats why he looks more humanoid than the rest of the mark1) were made using brawler as inspiration(no idea whats the name of the blue print thing lol)thats why they look humanoid in some way but at the same time they look goofy

Tacit ronin and cherno alpha had one of the best designs. The weapons in mark 1 were so deadly. Tesla coil in cherno, jet propulsion in tacit, gattling gun in Romeo, canons on coyote etc. Can't wait for the prequel!

He used to torture kaijus as he had a mind attacking ability and he was equiped with deadly neurotoxins. He is definitely one of the most badass jaegers🔥🔥💪💪💪
The Jegars are freaking awesome at killing Kaiju. I'm positive they can handle at least some of the ToHo kaiju in the showa, Heisei and maybe millennium Kaiju. Monsterverse Kaiju yeah that's another story. Also do some Gamera ranking it's been a while since he gotten some attention
The yeagers are cool and all, but the weight difference is too much. The heaviest kaiju in Pacific Rim is only like 7k tons. Even the smallest TOHO monsters are almost 4x that weight.

Cherno Alpha is regarded as a heavy tank with thick armor. But for a Mark 1, he's very light with 2k tons, 5k tons lighter than Tacit Ronin, the Jaeger built for swiftness and has her armor heavily reduced as a result.

We all want a true Pacific Rim 2, but if they can't do it epic like the first, just make a good Ps5 game or anime series. Obsidian Fury with human pilots would give Apex a run. The Kaiju pilot in Obsidian was relentless, yes, but it was unable to form any feasible battle tactics and only went for an all out attack. Apex would still win due to his experience, but I think it would be a good fight.

Dude is a close combat fighter, yes, but he also features flamethrowers and tesla coils in his hands, with which he could have shocked Kaijus or even fried their brains if he ever got to get a hold of their heads. The idea alone that there would be a jaeger that only fights by punching is ridculous in itself, especially considering how many gimmicks the Mark 1s already had.
