Chef White is an amazing human being, who has achieved great things, to personally realise that food is a philosophy, a life philosophy that binds us all, is truly enlightening. Please show some respect for this great man. He is no sell out. He is endorsing products he believes in. Some will lend their name to products that they don't believe in or use.
Marco Pierre White can do WHATEVER THE FK he wants to! he is the original celebrity chef, rockstar, badboy of the kitchen, the Godfather of Modern cuisine, the 1st and youngest chef to have garnered 3 Michelin stars, AND THE 1ST, Mind you, to give them back... mentor and teacher to Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal, Curtis Stone, Jami Oliver... etcetera....even at his worst Marco can outcook you ALL at YOUR BEST!
@Nidodafish I think he really pissed the Michelin institution off when he did that. Because he asserted, quite rightly, that as a world class chef/ restaurateur he did know more about his craft than the inspectors, and that he was constantly "playing a defending game" in order to keep his three stars. I think by rejecting the Michelin guide he was able to be free and do what he really wanted to do. I believe the Michelin guide is French biased, and forces chefs to stifle creativity. MPW rules!
Some of the comments related to this video are beneath contempt. MPW is very successfull at what he does, simple as that. We had dinner at The White room on Ventura last December and it was a very enjoyable evening indeed.
@paddymourinho I see what you're saying, paddy. A little harsh, but partially agree. I wouldn't say "pathetic" as bluntly. Marco is better cook than Gordon Ramsay for sure. When in comes to business and being an exciting TV personality. Marco isn't anywhere near Ramsay there. Marco had what? Two divorces? The man gotta eat. But he'll always be the best cook.
I have watched quite a few of Marco's clips, in all of them the great chef seemed in total control. It's the first time I had a distinct feeling of him being truly distracted. I would venture a guess, that it may have had something to do with the slightly amused lady in whom he seemed rather interested...
Because he probably doesnt give a shit about the colors of the boards. If cutting boards are washed and sanitized correctly there is no need for the colored board system. Obviously some kitchen ware salesmans idea to sell more cutting boards.
If you were recording this without his permission you’re lucky he didn’t catch you and murder you right there, but if you got his say so then good on you.
