We have Australian Points Series and this was our first year. I was lucky enough to compete in match 2. Travelled over 1000klm to get there. It was a lot of fun and I learnt a lot. If you shoot Open or FTR give it a go.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for sharing. Can you comment on the bipod pads. They are both using the same pad and not one I’m familiar with here in the states. The red surface appears very slick. Apparently plotting shots has made a difference in performance. This is something not used in string fire very often. Interesting to see some different styles of shooting.
The plates are made by a fellow shooter here in Canada and team mate to these two. It is an aluminum plate with felt glued on the top side and grip tape on the bottom.
Erik mate you said once they always aim for the centre v bull and maybe make a small adjustment for the wind ,but like you said you have heat copper fouling in the barrels and also the humidity ,its not like they have the data to go off, meaning they have a iphone to put the data in ,they need to know that stuff by memory ,so for each temperature and humidity upscale they know where to hold off if aiming for the centre of the v bull and know what the wind is doing and see where the impact is based on that shot ,then make your adjustments from then on, wind & humidity and heat is the massive challenge for these type of championships full stop. cheers 👍👌✌🦘😎
Well Erik, mate its very hard to use those rings, when you have no chance of knowing what the wind is doing & the mirage is what you looking at and you cant see the rings due to the rings bouncing around especially at 1,100 yards or 1KM, the best i got with a 5.56 old f class weapon was a 8" spread with 3 V's most were all 5's and only 1 x 4 which was my last shot, which is my fault i pulled that shot for some reason i even said it after i pulled the trigger, people forget how sensitive those triggers are ,so having you finger on the trigger is not the best thing to do always have the bolt open and your finger on the guard ,till your ready to make the shot, basic marksmanship, reading wind is the hardest thing to do, but if you get it right, then your a champ, like these two guys, hate to be shooting up against them in a match . 👍👌✌🦘😎
Thanks again for making these videos.
I enjoy watching them and hopefully might learn from them.
This V2 series is awesome, thanks for bringing us along, cheers Yogi ✌️
Glad you enjoy it!
Great match
Very frustrating yet professional
Good stuff! Love to watch these matches. Happy to see the sport getting more great publicity!
Thank you, we appreciate you watching!
Would be great to see a European Series. Maybe culminate in a World Series?! North America vs Europe vs Oceania etc?
That would be great, I’d love to see this take off in Australia ✌️
@rosalindstewart7013 there is a points series in Australia and New Zealand take part (I think). It is very new so not as publicised.

It’s in the equipment description before the match.

I have noticed kyle did not adjust his scope back to zero ,before each match, maybe he did off camera? 👍👌✌🦘😎
He probably zeroed it at the beginning of the match.
