I just did the CV and U joint on my '04 last Sunday to repair the same noise issue. Mine is Quadra Trac and made noise all the time, horrible in reverse with the wheels turned.
i would much rather the double cardan driveshaft instead of the doo doo rezeppa (which ive already replaced once, it was making terrible noise like this video and had no ball bearings left in it 😅) Anyone know where you can buy the output shafts? cant find anything online

Check with Tom Woods, Advance Driveline, or Adam's driveline, there is a few others. That's 3 I know of by name and experience.
