I never would have thought the subject of farming, building and raising animals would be of interest to me at my age. However, your positive attitude, good nature and seemingly unlimited amount of energy and ideas has won me over. i tell you, it's hard waitng on your next video sometimes. lol Take care, Evan....we need you around for many more years to see what your inventive mind is going to come up with next.
That was a lot of tree work in 8 hours. You deserve a rest. Hope you get some good lumber from the cherry trunk and maybe some turning wood from some of the larger branches. Thanks for taking the extra time to show us this project. Have a Blessed Easter.
The good thing about your farm work Evan, is that with a good proportion of it you get , almost , instant gratification. Like the work you are doing now. But parts of it you have to wait , sometimes for a long time, like growing and harvesting fruit trees. But , either way, it’s great for us !! Thank you Rebekah and Evan !
I was glad to hear you say you would make part of the black cherry into lumber, that is the most beautiful wood you can get in my opinion. I think several of the limbs would make 2 x 4's. Good luck and good video.
Glad you are safe.... but, I laughed hard when you slipped because ThAt has happened to me SOOOO many times ! I like the fact that you keep those things in your videos, it reminds us of our OWN mistakes and funny slips ! Thanx 4 the 'real life' videos and Happy EASTER to you and Rebecca .
Glad to see you get through the job safely. Tree cutting is very dangerous, and trees do unpredictable things. I can see your progress as you have cut more and more trees over the years, and you're learning more all the time. You're very good at keeping safety first, keep up the good work.
Happy Easter Evan, Rebecca, family, friends and viewers. Always enjoy your videos. Stay well be safe. Greetings from NE rural Ohio....lamb is on the grill ( wood and lump charcoal )...Italian tradition, lamb for Easter. Especially for us, my grandfather was a shepherd in Italy 🇮🇹 😊
We just got us a sawmill so I have been cutting a lot of trees lately. I don't have a ton of experience so I'm watching and trying to learn. Always exciting to drop big trees. Nice work clearing the fence row!
Seasoned Ewan, that last black cherry could make such beautiful lumber for wood tuning in the winter time! There must be a good many nice bowls in that trunk!
You did a good job today Evan, glad you came out okay with the two times they went the little off course and you falling. When we get tired we sometimes forget and we have both been fortunate. Looks good and when you get the clean up done you'll really feel good about your work. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
Thanks Evan.. Single player here. when no one is around to pull on the rope as it will always go side ways cause all the pull is lost as the tree starts to move. I use some big heavy weights on the rope a few feet out from the tree. I have used a 55 gal drum full of Water about 10 ft off the ground HAHAHAHAHA Double dramma the crash of the Barrel and the Tree falling on it .. use can also use a Bottle jack to steer the Tree. Gotta be a large tree for that to work
Don’t forget, the 3 pt hitch has quite a bit more lift capacity than the loader does, if you can get up to something close enough like that one smaller one you kept rocking but couldn’t get to come out, you could probably break it loose from the ground with a chain around your lift arms. Good safe work on those trees!
I know you use a pellet grill, but that cherry wood is really awesome to use for smoking meat. Maybe you could add some chips to your pellet grill? I've never used one so I don't know how picky they may be to fuel sources. I had a 70 ft cherry die and was leaving toward where I parked my truck. I took it down during the COVID scare. I still have almost a full cord of wood. I use it for smoking It gives the meat a really nice flavor
Glad all worked for you. Absolute must that you have a clear path to get away when the tree falls and you know which direction it will fall. I had a friend got caught and I didn't end well. Be always aware and be safe. Keep the saws sharp or it can be dangerous.
Great job…bit scary at times…but you got it done…(Glad it all worked out with no injuries but it might be good that you experienced some surprises. Good knowledge for future tree felling)👍👍👍
JudithB Whew Evan!!! I am usually out with my son when he s cutting just in case!! We usually pull trees down with the truck but we are not on plowed ground. I pull and he cuts. We try to keep the area clean as we work too, bull briars are real bad down here so its not easy. Be careful!!!!!
Hy Evan! I would really love to see an air view from all your tree and fence cleaning! Must be great to see the whole picture! Thank you for the holiday video;) Happy Easter to you and the family!
Tom from Delaware, then watching you for a long time. Remember what the property look like in the beginning? And then what you have it now you've come a long way. Oh, it's good. Keep going.
I think you did the right thing by removing the cherry tree. We had a few that was on our land when we first bought it and I removed them too, for the same reason. I think if you do any tree cutting what so ever, you will have a tree that doesn't fall the way you intended it to fall. Well you took care of them and did get injured or failed equipment, that's a win in my book. I hope you had a good Easter and I hope your week ahead goes great!
Nice job, Evan. Actually starting to look like someone who cares lives there!! lol. That's a good bit of firewood you amassed today. Also, a ton of poison ivy all over those trees... Hope you have plenty of Calamine lotion!
When having trees close enough to power lines contact the local utility and most will dispatch a tree crew to get those trees on the ground without cost to you.
Ah ha! Now you see why things get a little puckered when I'm removing trees in residential areas at my job. You probably could have got most of those leaners to fall parallel to the road without pulling them over. By cutting the wedge on either side and slowly back-cutting, the tree will slowly swing over and land parallel to the road. Maybe practice a bit the next time you find a leaner and get it to fall 90° away from the lean. You did well pulling them over by yourself. Nice job and be careful out there!

Me too. Always interested and waiting for the videos. Wonderful people! The kind who are just all around good friends. ❤

Hot bath is what you need, nice work, and you will keep warm all winter with that wood

Thank you Rebekah and Evan !
I LIKE your attitude today. You simple said “we are gonna takedown this row trees.”. No “try maybe probably” stufff. Great.
Have a cold one and enjoy the rest of the evening with Rebecca. Another enjoyable video buddy.
That is a great accomplishment for one person in eight hours. You earned a rest !
My son-in-law uses cherry would in his smoker for ham and bacon. Adds a sweetness to the pork meat. Always enjoy your videos. Happy Easter.
You should make something out of that black cherry wood! It would be beautiful
That black cherry would make some beautiful spalted lumber.
Agreed
I was thinking the same thing when it fell!
Evan shows us how anyone can accomplish HUGE things by taking one little piece at a time. It all adds up!
Nice job! It is stressful getting them all on the ground. Happy Easter!

Use an old paint brush to spread that tordon on the stump. Uses way less and gets coverage on the whole stump.

I’m so glad to see you back it’s been such a long time since we’ve seen you guys hope you’re all doing well mate love and hugs and god bless you all

That was an awesome video ! Great job ! It looks so good , I LOVE YOU GUYS !!! 🥰🥰
Hi...... Evan, thanks you for showing your video homestead bye
DANG IT!!! A whole winter has gone by and barely anything has been done with the Allis!!!
When you get a tree that leans wrong way use a yankem stretch strap thats what i do and it works great to keep tension on and pull
Use the cherry wood in your smoker! Especially to make bacon.
Good Day of work. Now the work begins
Cherry wood for the smoker
A lot of work. Safety first always. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Easter 🐰
Need to get Nathan up there with his saw mill.... That would be awesome 😎
A lot of hard work. Beautiful video! I loved that secondary camera angle with the tree smashing down! Well done.
Thanks for sharing!
Smart work with the leaning trees. 👍. Always being safe is the way to go.
It's great you use everything from the work.
Thanks for your videos. Wish I can help you.
Enjoyed the video. You are supposed to holler, "TAH DAH!" every time a tree hits the ground successfully. At least that is what I do. LOL
That's why I love watching your videos , your funny .
Keep going.
The best plan for the black cherry is make bowls and other treen out of it! Maybe some shelving? Salt and pepper shakers? Candelabra?
🐤🥖Happy Easter 🐣 🐰

Nice Job Evan, on another subject ( Have your Fish in your Lake made a come back)?
Yes they have. You can the fish swimming around.
That’s great to hear the fish are doing well, good luck & be safe .
Great job Evan!
Great job Evan! I miss the small country farm. Have fun.
Happy Easter to you and your family
Nice plan with. The. Chery tree
Nice job, Evan. Actually starting to look like someone who cares lives there!! lol.
That's a good bit of firewood you amassed today. Also, a ton of poison ivy all over those trees... Hope you have plenty of Calamine lotion!
The old fence row looks a lot better now with the trees gone and no dnager of a tree hitting your power lines.
You have earned your Tree Cutting Certification! Lol
Great job, looks so much better
very nice job Evan
When having trees close enough to power lines contact the local utility and most will dispatch a tree crew to get those trees on the ground without cost to you.
Great Job Pete!!!
Cool trick wedging that side tree off the last tree. It was a little counter intuitive. I'm tucking that one away for a rainy day.
Good job Evan no big o opps or ouches thx for the vids stay safe you two
That looks like a fun and satisfying job. You will definitely be able to see the difference after you finish.
I really enjoyed this video
Hi Evan you always make me very nervous cutting down trees, well done surviving the experience 😁Love your videos thank you.
You're a tree cutting expert with all this clearing!
nice job evan!
Glad that went well❤❤❤
Evan, I have watched you cut down many, many trees, good job, God bless
I’m surprised you didn’t have a stump grinder attachment for your big tractor. It would be real handy.
It would be handy. I have plenty of stumps that need taken out.
Be a great time to put the repairs or addition on the firewood shelter
Thanks evan.you certainly done a decent job with the trees bud
Sending you positive vibes from the uk.take care.
Happy Easter Evan and Rebecca.
Great Video, glad it went smooth with No casualties...😊
Wow, Evan! I’m loving that grapple. You did quite a day’s work.
Happy Easter
Big day for sure !
