You have an awesome layout in your home. It is something that I think that will work for me. Would you mind telling me how much did your home cost? I live in Virginia and there's not a lot of tiny home communities in my area. I'm hoping they're going to do something soon within the next few years and so I'm trying to get a design together so that way I'm ready. Awesome video

This is it! This is the number one tiny house design. It checks all of the boxes. If I was in the position to order a tiny house, I'd tell the builder to build exactly this.

@@franciscoalsina4348 No. I did hire an architect to draw up plans for the Craigslist builder. When I handed them off to MitchCraft they made some wise edits for me so I do not have the final plans.

First, I would never have guessed this was your first TH-cam video. This was spectacular! The quality of it was top-notch. Second, as far as the tiny house, I am in love! I can see myself living in this model. It has everything I would need. The storage space was incredible. I am a huge fan of being able to stand up in the bedroom. Weird. Saw a tour of this house at least a year ago. Neat design, although the kitchen takes up too much real estate for me. The cool thing is how many ways tiny houses can be configured. Is Boulder County allowing tiny home parks or do you rent on a larger property?

You had a close shave with that Craig's List 'builder'. The fact that the first potential buyer of the house backed out was a red flag! So glad you managed to get your house built and it looks absolutely amazing. I wish the very long-standing tiny house 'movement' had made its way to Europe .It's still a rare novelty here and unless you're a builder/carpenter and can build and oversee it yourself, it's almost impossible to find someone trustworthy and experienced to take on the project.
Totally! I know! Looking back I definitely passed some red flags. The guy was super nice. I don't think he was trying to scam me in any way. I just think he was in over his head.
Your so luck. I know someone who went with a Craig's list builder. She got so bamboozled. She paid him to early. It was built shoddy. Then she had to go get it cause he was going to sell it to someone else.
Im starting over after being married over 20 years. I bought a small condo now that I’m an empty nester, came to TH-cam for decor ideas. I love how well you built your space, it looks very comfy.

Great presentation and tour of your tiny house. I love your design and how spacious it is. I live in an 8.5x26' tiny on the Oregon coast. If I ever decide on a tiny 2.0, it will definitely be wider (10') and probably longer (30' or so). Keep your TH-cam channel going. Love your attitude and your persistence. Happy Trails, Jen!

I love the tiny home idea. I have been daydreaming for years about how, where, and when I could make this happen in my life. This is by far the best layout I have seen; beautiful color scheme, clean lines, open airy feel. I love that you took the plunge and found an ideal setup for yourself and guests. You are teaching your children/young adults a very valuable lesson that more doesn't always mean more!
Obviously not minimalist (especially with the clothes) - but KUDOS to the design! Excellent storage! If you have got the space, which you do, the rounded dining table is so pleasant. (Of course your daughter will be back to stay in Her Room.) I know you will love this new chapter of your life! Keep us updated.

This tiny house is really really nice. I love the large kitchen and all of the storage. So nice to have a recliner couch in the living area.

For your first video, you did a great job. I was divorced twice before my husband who died last year and I were together for 45 years. I am 40 years older than you, yet I can appreciate your king-sized bed optimism. Your home is very nice.
My tiny home is 40' long and about 399' square feet (no loft). The kitchen and living area are in the front, the bathroom is in the middle, and the bedroom is in the back all on the same level. I don't intend to move mine so I have a deck at door height and a patio at ground level.
Look into a Fisher and Paykel drawer dishwasher now that the pandemic is over. I have that and a Splindide combo washer and dryer (like yours) and I love both. Especially the dishwasher as I use it every day. Thank you for the tour.

I have been watching Tiny Home videos for years. I mean YEARS... I have saved a total of 2 over the years because I think they are heads and tails above the others and would be worth building. I just saved yours.
Love this. I went through a divorce at the end of 2022 after 25 years of marriage. It was tough, and I ended up relocating to another city to move in with my mother because of my financial situation. Imagine having to move back in with your parents after 40! Now a year later I'm ready to move on and tiny living is something I've been curious about for a long time now. I used to watch tiny house videos and fantasize about having my own tiny house one day. Your story is inspirational and your tiny is so cute and functional! Definitely see myself living like this.

The tiny house is beautiful, I have admired it many times. It would have been nice to see the "fit" in the tub. I'll search more photos, maybe I will find it. Also A list of appliances you choose by brand since they fit so nicely in a tiny house would be helpful.

I love it!❤I've loved tiny houses since 8 years ago. Little did I know loving the tiny house concept was going to save me from falling short of a roof over my head after an unprecedented event, divorce. It was a blessing to find a single wide mobile home that is very old but cozy for my kids and I. ❤😁

You seem to be an amazing person and I think you are going to love the life now that may have been secluded inside you because of the whole marriage thing and being a mom but you are living for you and as a mom of 15 children you now need to live for you. I am a big empty nester too and I hate it but I love love when my kids come to visit. So love your life for you and let the kids see a whole new you. You are going to have such fun.
