I have seen so many, normally rational, people freak out when dogs play because it look like they're hurting each other. Dogs are 99.9% fine. People about 60% fine. If you're watching your dog play with someone else's dog, you should be more concerned about the owner than the dog.
I like that you have two dogs that are relatively the same size with very different breed characteristics. Goldens are such great older siblings, and Kobe definitely encouraged Moki to venture out of her comfort zone & build her self-confidence.
@@thegoldenkobefamily I actually think that doing that puts dogs at a disadvantage of having their body language read wrong by other dogs which isn't fair.
I really love Moki ...she has an exceptional personality. Goldens have always been my fave so needless to say I adore Kobe as well. They both put a huge smile on my face.
Retrievers and Labs are the best dogs. Hands down. Their INTELLECT is more influential on their actions than their INSTINCTS. And, for ME, that determines the quality of a dog.
Golden retrievers make good watchdogs because of how loud their bark is. Our male golden reacts the same way as kobe when anyone knocks on the door or a stranger comes in the house
Ive had a couple of dogs who have done that double paw holding thing. My Boxer Baxter and my Poodle Ziggy loved to have their paws held like that. I love how well behaved and vlose to one another they have become.
I just came across these videos. Bravo! They are wonderful. You 2 are so loving and patient and nurturing with them. They are absolutely beautiful animals and you have trained them so well. It was so funny to see Kobe at first and how he quickly accepted her and grew to love Moki. I am really enjoying them and hope you continue to make many more videos.
12:50 My friend used to have a Whippet - a mini greyhound basicly - That little dog would do +40mph and looked like she was flying just above the earth. Her body and head almost still like an arrow while her legs just powered her through jump after jump at breakneck speeds... She would just take off and run circles on a field and it was a joy to watch!
Dobermann is a really sensitive breed, fireworks can be a trigger, it was for mine, jumping around in the house to seek cover for the light and the bangs, while the labrador is just barking at the thing".
So - funny - i don't have dogs, and prefer cats ( My last cat passed on in May 😢) but your videos are terrific! You are doing so much work to document all the numerous activities for your dogs! 🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♀️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️🏃♀️➡️🏃♂️ The idea with the stick on the rope is great! Glad you don't even dock Moki's tail and ears and she is more beautiful for it! Great dogs!! Nice Family!!!!
Definitely take Moki to the pool! She won't learn and get confident if she isn't given the chance to get in the water. It's a case of telling kids not to go in the water till they learn to swim.
We introduced a Doberman, to our 4 year old miniature Doberman (Min Pin). the Min Pin was 5kg and the doberman grew to 55KG. When the pup first arrived he was almost the same size as the Min pin. we lost both dogs over the last two years, the min pin always had control over the doberman . We loved both dogs, dobermans will always have a place in my heart
A Dobi with ears and tail looks so much less scary. Bless Kobe’s brave heart and I hope you never try to make Moki a watchdog, she's a lover not a fighter and besides, you don't need two watchdogs. 😅
Big time enjoyed this video. I reckone her protective instincts will come into play when she’s a bit older as she’s still very young. I also think she’s going to be quite big as her size against that adult brown Doberman was pretty much the same but not quite filled out. She has a lot of cute puppy in her including her looks and the way she does things. I also feel you should have taken her to that swimming pool you rented out because not doing so you just reaffirm her fear of the water and she’s still young enough to learn to like it and swim. It would also be good for her to see Kobi in the water which might encourage her to want to copy or just follow him eventually. Kobi is a retriever and they are made for water and doesn’t red that floating harness. He should be able to swim, jump in the water of his own accord with confidence, dive, go under water for toys or just to fetch and retrieve in the water. Don’t over mother cuddle them to the point they lose to much of their natural instincts. Let them out in the garden at night so Moki’s natural instincts as well as not fearing the dark develop. Take them out at night in pitch dark. If they have good recall let them off the lead to in the dark. You’ve provided a brilliant life for any animal. You both are super great.😊
Dobermans are all muscle so floating and swimming is next to impossible- if she had a doggie floating device she might feel more comfortable- retrievers have aspects of their overall build that helps them in water
I have a 9 and a half year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who went from being an only dog his entire life to being the grumpy uncle to an Italian greyhound/dachshund mix and a rescued German Shephard puppy in the course of a year. It takes some time and patience... and remembering that they speak the same language so we don't need to intervene in every single conflict. Like, it took a good few months for us humans to realize that our mutt pup just likes to growl. He's a very vocal dog and will talk to you in awoos, grrrrrs, and grumples while showing zero signs of aggression, agitation, and anxiety. All of our dogs are rescues, and our little one is very nervous and has been over time getting better, and I know it's because of my Rhodey. He is the most confidant, stubborn, loving dog I've ever owned and he approaches every new thing like he's done it a thousand times, which has really helped Martin come out of his shell. Then we got our GSD rescue, and she was already super sweet and confidant around people and dogs. So when my old boy didn't have as hard a job with her. All this to say. It just depends on your dogs. They will move at their own pace.
Hi, please NO! Bananas for your “kids” find out what Not! to feed them. Well done with your new rescue, and you should get a raised food and water platform so they don’t have to bend down to eat or drink co’s they inhale air as the eat and drink and the air has to come out elsewhere, if you know wot I mean. Be well guys Oh! and No rope tugging toys as the rope pieces come off & ends up blocking the intestines, been there paid for it, both financially and emotionally, very dangerous. Ok, hope this helps. All the best from Los Angeles.
Does Kobe still nip at faces, and if so, how do you correct that? Our Golden/Lab mix used to bite at our hands occasionally and even broke the skin once.
We used it at the start before we found out about the halti, she was a really big puller because she got so excited. And when she got to over 30kg, it was very hard to control her. She’s much better now though 😅
My dog a male Shi tzu is so unfriendly towards my boyfriend’s 2 Rottweiler. Even after 3 years he just can’t be bothered dealing with another dog. Her prefer to deal and interact with humans. How can I resolve this issue?

Thank you for leaving Moki's ears and tail natural!
It's illegal in UK to dock them. 👍

I think Dobermans look so much cuter with their natural ears & tails. It’s so gross that people still cut them just for the “aesthetic” 🥲
Why what do ppl do with them
I noticed that, too!! Isn't that terrific!!! Moki is more beautiful for it, too!
Thank you, Great Fam!!!
These two are very lucky dogs. ❤ They have got a wonderful life with you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
