    Great Video, building one to be above ground instead in the Ground.

    This was beautiful!!!
    I'm helping my 90 year old neighbor fix her breaking irrigation and have been absolutely appalled and frustrated worth how it's built because large sections have to be cut out to fix one valve. Even having to cut out multiple valves to replace one. This is the IDEAL setup I've been dreaming up in my head. Making it so each valve can be replaced as needed. Love the info on the drain. Didn't know about the drains. Didn't know anything about irrigation and was wondering why she had those drain things in her system. Great information!!!!! I love this setup!

    Very nice video. I love the idea of using unions, however I have some unions on the backflow preventer that was here when I purchased the house. However no unions that I can find at any store will mate with them. So if these unions had been used on my valve, it wouldn't have helped if anything had been glued to either side of the union. So if anything is glued to the union, I would suggest buying extra unions when you build your manifold so if the brand the stores sell 10 years later, then you would have the correct union.

    Important to do a 1/4 turn when gluing to evenly distribute the glue

      ty i was just wondering that

      Read your product label or take weld certification. That is an outdated and bad practice. You only turn to adjust. Turning can reduce the strength of the weld.

      @@cupchanger ty ill keep that mind. I read the instructions and it says to do a 1/4 turn for Weld On Wet R Dry.

    Can you makea video explaining the different valves available and how they work. I have not seen the type you used in this video at Home Depot.

      Thanks for the suggestion, I will see what I can do. The valves I used in the video were from a commercial supplier. However, the valves at Home Depot work on the same concept and operate in the same way. Glad to hear you are helping your neighbor.

    Is there anyway that you can release your app for android? I can't seem to find a working version for android, only iphone, and it seems like it would be very useful.

    Mister pressure relief valve, there great at the end of the line on my patio misting system in the winter time to prevent pipe from cracking, you can use this little brass fitting at the end of the main water line of your manifold or do what I did and put it at the lowest point of your pvc line and watch it piss out when timer turns off. Just seems to be such a waste of water. Figuring way to reuse water and pump back to plants

    Where can you purchase Unions, Home Depot said they didn’t have them

    • @cupchanger
      @cupchanger  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ewing irrigation, Sprinkler Supply and most plumbing supply locations. I don’t purchase from Home Depot if at all possible. They are generally not contractor grade parts.

    That’s why I keep it in her longer so I don’t get pushed back

    question why do they pu metal pipes for the preventor ?

    • @cupchanger
      @cupchanger  หลายเดือนก่อน

      For stability and rigidity, it doesn’t have to be plumbed in galvanized pipes, but helps to keep it from getting damaged.

    Wait a minute he’s using ABS cement. The primer sounds right and looks right but it’s supposed to be PVC cement not ABS he’s working with PVC not ABS. Did I miss something?

    i always put vaseline on the threads they go in all the way and tape aint needed

    • @2000JeepGC24
      @2000JeepGC24 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn’t do that. You’ll strain the threads and they will fail over time. 1/2 turn past finger tight.

    Why not use a 2 valve manifold?

    • @cupchanger
      @cupchanger  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because the parts are not consistent across all markets. These parts are more readily available regardless of where you are in the world. I have nothing against manifolds.
