I never thought to use a countertop OMSP for cats! That's such a cool idea! And those outside-the-lot OMSPs are amazing. I've never used them before but I can imagine a lot of different possibilities for them ☺️
It's really neat isn't it? So adorable 🥰 Oh yeah those OMSPs are incredible, I can't believe not more people know about them. I've only seen one person mention them before and that was Jessa back in the day. I'm particularly happy to share my knowledge on that one
Ah wow thanks for this! Such a useful resource. For a lot of these I either didn't know about them or didn't understand the usage cases, so this has been very enlightening. I'm especially glad for this teaching me about the existence of the controller, that will be so useful when I know I've lost an invisible one somewhere!

What a great video! This is so helpful and gave me so many ideas again. I'm still relatively new to the world of OMSP's and aside from the basic ones, I usually struggle trying to figure out how and when to use which one... and then I usually give up, because I don't have the patience to figure it out. You explained so much of those, and even more in this video, really helpful! I especially loved the use of the OMSP for cats to sit on any surface, that's so realistic! I feel I should put an OMSP on a keyboard in front of the sim's computer and then they'll truly know what it's like to have pets! 😄

One of the particular ways I use OMSPs is when I have tables or counters with not enough slots but visually enough space, I plop a food prep one down and they can cook on it. In my medieval hood in particular, I have multiple wide counter-height tables with only 1 slot, or counter-height tables that can't be used as counters at all. Peasants really have to maximize surface space!
That's one of my favorite ways to use them too, it's so neat! But I bet it must be especially nice for medieval cramped quarters for peasants, as you say - or any small space really. Small student apartments for example really benefit from them too 😊

This was so useful - I tend not to use OSMPs because they look overwhelming (I have all those in your video). But I am going to give them another try.

Hi, I wanted to ask you if you know a mod or a method to increase the number of guests at parties.. at the moment it's max 2. I'm desperate, how did you solve it?
Hi Emy! Yeah, I remember being frustrated with this too. It's actually to do with the game limit to the number of lot visitors. You need to use a cheat to increase it: "intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims #" with the # being the number you want to change it to. I have it at 30, but it all depends on how much your computer can take. Don't know if you need to reload the lot or not after typing it in - I have it in my userStartup file so I don't have to think about it.

I use those OMSP’s that make the sim go around and through objects, it’s took decorating to whole new level for me 🥹 Oh, and shiftable everything mod of course, it’s perfect)

I have plenty of green and purple ones and I don't know how to lift them, they just go on the floor. Do I need a specific mod to lift them?
Sorry, I really should have gone through that in this video in hindsight. It's a feature that came with Apartment Life, so as long as you have that expansion pack, you can use this function. It depends on what kind of keyboard you have for your computer what keys it will be. For english keyboards, it is the keys [ and ] you use. For my swedish keyboard, it's ´ and Å. If you have another kind of keyboard, you might have to do a google, or play it by ear by klicking different keys and see what happens as you have one of the omsps selected in game. At any rate, no mod is needed

Thank you ❤ Since I use the Ultimate Collection, those are the objects I use in my game. If you just have sims deluxe it's possible that some of them will work and others won't. I have no knowledge on that unfortunately
