You're 100% correct. Everything from country to RandB to rock it was almost like popular music's swan song. It didn't matter what type of music you were into, you were getting the best it had to offer. Almost all genres of music fail in comparison 😢

Mark chestnut was always one of my favorites, and I never thought he quite got the recognition he deserved. He was a great vocalist and a good musician.
He is a really good guy. I met him in the early 90's when he was doing a show at our county fair concert. I was behind the state doing security along with on eof my deputies. Mark's brother spent a lot of the time visiting with us. Great guys!
Always loved him. I had his signature one time a lady friend played piano and sang in Taylorville Illinois at opry house and Mark was there one night and she had gotten for me because she knew how much I liked him. ❤ We still watch this on Thursday evenings to this day.
