    We are essentially leaderless. We have "honourable " people that are too busy enjoying their ministerial perks than actually and effectively representing their constituents. We live in the age of no shame.

    When you have a Crime Minister who believes that budgets balance themselves, why would they look at consequences?

      No party in federal politics has properly dealt with the debt since it started. Conservatives don't do conservative things so government just keeps growing.

    It’s not just political institutions and small to medium enterprises that are under attack, but also the military, police, regulatory agencies, charities, community recreation & sports, travel & tourism, and the media. This government has seized this unprecedented health emergency to re-shape every aspect of Canadian society to their own vision and image. They are doing so with very little scrutiny or push-back. Money (except for their personal wealth) is flowing away like water down a drain.

    The majority of Canadians do not like the lockdowns. You and Mr. Manning hit the nail on the head, no one is leading us our of this craziness. Vaccines are being administered, WHERE is the plan to get the economy back on track, and people back to work? What is the timeline to get back to near normal? And no, we don’t have a PM or any senior ministers with the exception of Pierre Poilievre. Someone who might me a good guest.
    Update: Saskatchewan has a plan!

    Our charter of "rights" and "freedoms" is not worth the paper it's printed on. It's been trampled on and willfully ignored by our authorities. It's supposed to be the ultimate law of the land . There has been no justification or authority to supersede the charter, but our governments, both federal and provincial, have done exactly that. What do you do when your governments, en mass, break the law?

    • @RoddyFuhr
      @RoddyFuhr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What do we do to fight en mass government tyranny? En mass civil disobedience. It's now or never. Our culture and governments are walking down the road towards a North Korean style Marxist "Utopia". 100,000 protesters in Montreal last Saturday, having a party while the pathetic lockdown police look on, holding their ticket books. That's a good start.

    I would agree with Preston that the Federal government have fueled regional separation movements through their actions, and overstepping Provincial jurisdictions, but it should also be noted, that most of this consternation has happened under the so-called "leadership" of a Trudeau. Canada never seems to learn the hard lessons ...

    Mr. Manning was never viewed kindly by Eastern Canadians both because he was perceived as a hard core conservative and lacked personal charisma. Yet if you listen to what he has to say it is always measured, meaningful, concise and solution oriented. So lets vote now; who would be the better Prime Minister this past year and right now, JT or PM? The answer is self evident. Unfortunately the current leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is even less able to impress the Eastern masses than Mr. Manning and I see no hope for regime change in this Country.

    Mr. Manning brings up the point that the Opposition/Public need to DO something, not just discuss, also, he outlines the factors contributing to western alienation, and seemingly NO solutions from ANY Federal party. Having said that, there was no mention whatsoever of Maxime Bernier's PPC which DOES address these issues, ESPECIALLY motivating ordinary "citizens" who ARE out there now trying to make some noise. I haven't watch all of these videos YET, but seems any mention of the Peoples Party of Canada is conspicuously absent from discussion, even though Mr. Murphy and Maxime Bernier seem to be on the same page when it comes to problems that are facing Canada. I'm hoping this is something that can be addressed in future discussion.

    With respect: Did not WW2 cost more with inflation factored in. Canada sent 1 million troops overseas during this time with a population of about 10 million. And what happened after the war economically? Right, a great growth in our economy with low interest rates. And in the middle of this Pandemic the stock markets in Canada are doing very well indeed with strong economics all things considered.
    I would like to know how the last Concretive government/Harper would have handled the spending while protecting Canadians and our economy. I have no political side in me, I simply vote for who makes the most sense at elections.

      Comparing the post world war economic expansion, when we used to actually build and manufacture in the name of prosperity, to the current reality of market algorithms ensuring the rich get richer while not actually doing anything of value for Western society is quite frankly insane. Our democratic legacy daing all the way back to the Magna Carta is being intentionally flushed down the toilet while the oligarchs cash out and poise themselves for the 'great reset'...for the love of God don't speak to me of Stephen Harper, he was Davos stooge at best.

    • @ethimself5064
      @ethimself5064 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCariboucanuck U much correct, but the powers of any society have always trampled on the general population for millions of years as in - out ancestors. matter of fact within the last year or so our human traits and personalities have beet discovered in out genes. If one looks at near any mammal there is a hierarchy of the Leaders all the way down to the bottom of any society, this also applies to animals.
      You seem to be not well educated, and is not anyone's fault, but progression is the key

    • @TheCariboucanuck
      @TheCariboucanuck 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ethimself5064I'm sorry was my level of education just questioned by someone with the ignorant belief that the stock market is an indicator of societial well being? I would never refute the existence or even the necessity of hierarchy in society but for the long term stability of the human species that hierarchy must not be unnecessarily cruel or be driven by nothing but pure greed. Such hierarchies have been proven by history to be self destructive and short lived. For many millennia we have put an often unconscious collective faith in the hierarchies we construct to ensure our survival and development as a species. With great power comes greater responsibility and the increasing gulf between the rich and the poor is indicative of two things; a poorly managed global economy of smoke and mirrors in sharp decline and the intentional weakening and destruction of our democratic institutions so no justice can be demanded in the face of such unprecedented greed and corruption. But hey what do I know, I'm just an uneducated plebe.

    • @ethimself5064
      @ethimself5064 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCariboucanuck Well, I agree with much you have replied with, although there has never been a benevolent hierarchies in recorded history and from archeological history. We is what we is, someone once said - yep Popeye himself. As far as the stock market comment, I said it is doing well here - for better or worse I guess. The stock markets are simply a signal of our economics that are publicly traded, nothing more. All in all we could very well be a domed species as time goes on with the sciences out pacing us already in very negative ways and if one thinks about it this has being going on at a very low level for near forever.
      I have reason to believe we are much more alike than not in a very big way although not on the same page at all times via slightly different points of views. ie same views, different focal points clouding our common specifics. Ha, you are educated indeed.
      Best wished
