    In simple terms the government of the day is not working for the people or the country. It is beyond me why the liberal government is still in power. The only thing I can think about is that we don’t have a suitable alternative. Thanks again Rex, always great to hear your comments.

    Thanks for getting back on Rex! You should turn down the volume on the speakers at your computer to get rid of the delay on your guest's voice, or even better if you wore in-ear headphones. This was a very important message that I hope are issues that all Canadian's can get an understanding of.

      @@RayRayMcAuliffe I'm afraid it does. 1. Everyone who understood and believed in Western values, , have passed on, or are in later years. 2.Things unfortunately will have to degrade far enough before people decide that fighting and dying for a cause, is an equal or better choice than the status quo. Right now people will just accept change as it happens, not being put out enough to actually anything about it. The frog in the slowly boiling pot scenario.

    In regards to "our wheat and grain", it's not our wheat and grain. It's the Americans and the Saudi's wheat and grain. So what's it's matter to our politicians if our farmers go bankrupt?

  • @BearspawRevett
    @BearspawRevett 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good to have you back, Rex! But next time could you make sure the interviewee either wears headphones/earbuds or turns the volume way down on his computer. The echo whenever McTeague spoke was very distracting. And, if you'll forgive me for being somewhat picky, your video would be easier to watch if you looked at your camera rather than the spider on the wall to your right -- or whatever it was you were looking at. Notwithstanding those suggestions, it is indeed good to see you on TH-cam again.

    Is it just a coincidence, that countries with the worst human rights violations, cheapest labour, forced labour, lack of human rights etc, etc, are the same countries that are exempt from punishing carbon taxes. Are carbon taxes meant to reduce emissions, or are they merely a means to shift manufacturing to jurisdictions, where large multi-nationals can exploit cheap labour, and the absence of workers rights, all under the guise of "environmentalism"? Does this not make more sense?

    You asked the question”where are the Conservatives “ well there are many in Alberta and Western Canada asking the same question. It really comes down to the fact that in order to get elected Erin O’Tool and his conservative party are prepared to give up on truly conservative values and follow the dictates of the Central Canadians who want to control Alberta. Jason Kenny has also fallen into the NEW CONSERVATIVE AGENDA. It will never change under the existing Constitution until Alberta and the resource based Provinces form an independent alliance.

    Dan asks the question: "where is the push back". The reality is, capital and cash are rapidly transportable. So Canadian or foreign investors that quickly realize that Canada is simply not welcoming of capital investment in the energy sector, transfer their funds with with a few simple keystrokes at a computer, and delegate expansion and investment in more favorable jurisdictions. Trying to fight for what is sensible and economic for Canada is far more expensive for these firms, compared to the few keystrokes at a computer. It's just as simple as that.
    Canada has lost such great opportunity, Covid or not. Yes it would be wonderful to be carbon emissions free by 2050. A better spin would be to reliant on lower cost non polluting energy sources. Allow industry the incentives to do so. But not by crippling the Canadian economy and sending energy capital fleeing the country.

    We can’t possibly be concerned about fossil fuels and the environment and on the other hand produce disposable goods that need to be replaced far more frequently than ever before. Hypocrisy!

    Somewhat confused on some issues. First up is Bidden shutting down the Keystone pipeline - he campaigned on this so he did shut it down, plus when did the US ever think or do something not in their sole interest(s)?
    Second - Are not the Carbon Taxes going to be Tax Positive like they are in BC?
    Third - Is not the Trans Mountain pipeline going to supply Alberta with world prices when it starts exporting?
    Fourth - Is there not a Huge gas pipeline currently being built to export Natural Gas overseas?
    Fifth - Global Warming is quite real although Canada plays a very small part of it, very small indeed. Why oh why do we not build gas pipelines across Canada again?
    And the Ontario Hydro thing is quite insane as we all should know.
    I just had to put my thoughts down it appears. Happier days to all👍👍
