16:36 Wow that's weird to see a 1206 with round fenders and no T/A. I spent many many hours on my dad's 1206 with Farmall livery, Year-A-Round cab, A/C and am/fm radio. Pulled 5 bottom plow, 8 row Deere planter, cultivator, drag harrow, and IH 914 combine for lots of years. Sold for 7500 (threw in the original flat fenders) in 2006.
Hey Gino before series tractors were true international was the 85 series of begin the badging of Case IH. Basically they are the same except for decals and sheet metal
Worldwide series,84,85,95,32--/42--- series,cx series and even the McCormick were basically IH, different tin and decals was really the only difference, Perkins engine in the cx & McCormick rather than the German Neuss built engines
@@bufferbridge I agree with you Roland. I have a 385 And McCormick c x 95 they both came out of the same plant in Britain. I believe it was in Yorkshire. We also had a 584 here for many years it came out of the same plant also. I bought my McCormick new 15 years ago from a local dealer here that was an old-line international dealer from way back when I inquired about either it or one of the new at the time JX series tractors they talked me into the McCormick because they were used to and believed in the old international engineering that went with that tractor and their advice was good it's been one heck of a good machine.
Nice video, looks like the over flow from the radiator was draining do to the tractor reaching operating temperature. Normal lever play in the 66 series ih's
As a skippy I love seeing the different international tractor. Many we didn't get here. I found my late father's 454 hydro recently, my mother still has her 384. When she got it she got a international tee shirt with a cartoon image of a 70 s inter on it only problem was she was a bit busty and the tyres looked inflated balloon tyres. I also have Aw6 industrial fr loader, 2 X A554 s one a front mounted fork. My 454 is a rear forklift with a custom front variable weight box my father designed. His answer to in loading bricks on slippery in even building sites, pre front wheel assist &4x4 tractors . The 454 was one of three special order s in the day. I also have a SAME 105 tiger, but I'm hoping to add a international 4386 or a white with a 3208. In my region we only have 1 of those with the turbo script . Now they are all big monsters
Lolol, i had two of those t-shirts, one was a 1466 on the front and the other had a pic of a A series Acco. Both had “Im an International fan” written on it. I grew up on AW6s and 7s and 554s. Still use a Bitsa 554 daily to feed our hundred odd cows. Our loader is getting a rebuild so the old bitsa has to do the job with the 3 point linkage forks. Bitsa is a bit of AW-6, AW-7 and 554. She is a faithful old girl that sits out in the open for two years and you can chuck a battry in her glow her for ten seconds and she’ll start up with a billow of smoke. She still pulls as hard as the day she/they were born. Last year she even pulled a 28 run 511 seeder around for about a hundred acres while our 2290 Case was waiting for a new turbo. 4th gear, three quarter throttle, didnt even ffeel like anything was hangin on behind. My old man blames them for what he calls ‘shaggers back’. They sure aint the smoothest riding of all tractors made. I bet none of the tractors made now though will still be alive when theyre 65 years old like this old girl is.
@@stevenowen4150 my A554 front mounted forklift I can vouch for the rough bounce. I used to regularly have to drive 20km on rough dirt roads up to the national PK then go in upto 12-15km but usually 7.5 to rescue back Packers who got stuck or bogged in the sandy road that's on the map and not very passable. Usually in plus 40deg C . I rescued a wood chipper from there too just on dark. The crew just in hitched it and went to the pub. One of the A554s has huge split deep dish rims and the inner back has steel bars as traps and back filled with concrete. I know of a AW7 with a Leyland 680cu in powerplus engine. . As for that tee shirt as kids Mum why is everyone staring at you. We asked mum she come back with you know international tractor s have that effect.
Usually first auctions of spring are high price. Going to one on March 18 has nice 1466,706,656 all diesel well taken care of interested to see what they bring.
The 1466 is an early 1466 with the rainbow gauge. The 1066 does not have the original tach. It has an 806 tach. Like I say on my videos sometimes, a coat of paint can cover a multitude of sins. I'm not sure it's the original engine. It's harder to tell with the straight pipe, but a 414 does have a bit smoother sound. I'm wondering if it has a 466 in it. They will bolt in a 1066. That 2350 red is too orange. I swear it is. The 966 I did in my auction preview was original and authentic and it was a shade darker. It brought $32000. That 1206 doesn't have a torque amplifier. I like the 504. The diesel 504 uses a D-188, which is the 4 cylinder version of the D-282. The 1066, leaked out of the overflow. I don't like the fact it has no water filter. It would require further investigation as to if it was just simply overfilled with antifreeze, or there are other problems. That guy who started the 1066 started it wide open and then shut it off wide open. That would greatly upset me. They paid for the paint with the 1066. I don't think it was that wonderful. As for Hydros, get one and put your loader on it. They are excellent loader tractors. I've been on your team for a few years now. Love the auction videos. Still not that time of year here. Need to wait about 6 weeks before I can start previewing.
Hey, hello FF. I get the notifications late. Just viewed. Great auction coverage. Would you know what the 770 Oli went for or a link for me to search auction results ? Thank you sir.
I think you dodged a bullet on that 1066, some people beat their tractors to death, dont do any maitenence on them and then put a dupont tune up on them and put them at auction because if they sold it outright they wouldnt even get 10000 for it. Even the 966 though nice I wouldnt give 15 for it has issues. That 1466 though Im sure would go high, it was a beauty.
Most sold for what they should have been ... I thought the 1466 should have went for 28,000 since i have seen tractors with much better restore jobs and DT 466 power and black stripes go for 30
1066 needs the coolant leak fixed. Those guys must not care that keep running it and that's a shame. There is some potential on that 1066. I worked with the Amish and they really work everything to death, including employees, i.e., me. I would have paid $28K for that 1466 if I was still a landowner.
