just found ur channel and ive watched like 10 videos in a row lol. top quality content from a chill dude who really cares about what hes doing! love it man
Im getting back into mixing. Used to be an artist and now i've fallen in love with the engineering aspect. I've been watching your videos and purchased your template. I look forward to making my music sound crisp. Thanaks man. One chill dude fasho
I've never watched just "one" Mixing tutorial channel continuously before. What you are talking about here is really interesting. I just found this channel yesterday, so wanna watch all the videos :) thanks for making such a great quality videos !!!!
Loved this one. I tried it on my own vocal here in the last hour. Definite improvement to what I had been trying. The only thing I changed out was the compressor - using serial compression w/ the SSL strip and CLA-2A. Maybe that's because my vox is rock and a lot more dynamic than this vocal track. Also realized I've been using entirely too much verb. This was quite pleasant. Thanks, teach!
I hope this channel is always successful..please make a clearer tutorial on mixing bamboo flute (bansuri flute), really needed.. greetings from Indonesia
Wassup Sean Divine I’m Sean Walker this video definitely blew my mind how you can make vocals sound that much better in 17 minutes... Ima bout to get my set up im excited
Good video. Not a big fan of the gate on the vocals, I find it always messes up the breathes between phrases. Takes longer but I go in and actually trim the audio manually. Never used r verb but after watching this I'm going to give it a try 👍🏻
Sean divine, Your the most genuine mix engineer on TH-cam, You really help us new up coming Artist's and producer's, Would you say the fabfilter compressor and reverb are better then waves ? Cheers man
thanks so much Philip! Pro C and C2 are some of my absolute favorites. That said, the Waves compressors (especially R Comp, CLA, H Comp and SSL Channel) are right up there in terms of quality, although they are quite different. I have not tried Pro-R yet!
Sean Divine You should defo give that reverb a try $ean its great🖒 Ive Just got a quick question if that's ok ? Why do you only use one compressor on vocals and not multiple? Most pple say 2 are better ? Is that true ? Summit i really wanna know lol cheers
I appreciate every single one of your uploads. I gotta know if you do these type of videos with Universal Audio plugins. I'm thinking about making a complete switch over to UA.
yes, that's what I do in 99% of my sessions... for this video, since we're using only one instance of StudioRack to build a chain, I used them as inserts :)
bro you have no idea how valuable this info is. And for a producer like myself with a low budget, I can do what the pros do and not pay the pro dollar. We appreciate your work!!! @@SeanDivine
Hello loved this video! I have a question ....if you are a singer and you not trained conventionally but you have written a song and recorded it into to your DAW and now want to make a song arrangement around it but are not really sure what key you are singing in how would I know what key to make the track in around it and what key to put for the auto-tune in? Any tips for that because for some reason when I write a song and try to make an arrangement around it it just seems so difficult and daunting vs just making a song over a beat I already made. Any tips for knowing what key ?!
Fire mix my friend. Just wanted to say theres a delay reverb doubler all in one pluggin made by greg wells its called greg wells voicecentric or gw voicecentric. For rnb and rap style vocals ive found that it works well as an on the channel pluggin instead of a send for the delay and reverb. But either way this mix sounds great shoutout to the artist as well he killed it. Keep up the good work fam
I have to say your vids are insanely good ... I have to ask now with V11 waves witch I now have how can I imitate a Vocal stack like waves StudiRack in Logic Pro 10
does anyone have a copy of this track "Moses Stone - "Body" (Prod. by Strong Symphony)" ? It's not available to stream anymore and I really want to hear the full version againnnnn
hi sean ive subscribed cause i like your methods in using logic prox and its features, plugins etc :) (and of course your music!) just a couple questions if ya dont mind? 1) what do you think of the ANTARES MIC MOD EFX, do you think its worth purchasing?...i have a rode nt2a going through a scarlett interface. i do rap/hip hop music/vocals. 2)grrrr forgot what i was gonna ask. lol comeback to this question :(
hi James, Mic Mod EFX is pretty good - I think there are other options in the form of tape saturation / EQs that can give you very similar results. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/LMEYLvYmd40/w-d-xo.html
Hey sean, Cant find the answer any where. can you help? Would It be helpful to bounce a track down after the vocal rider automation has been written. I reckon this would save resources or would one get artificacts?
hey James, if you're committed to the results, absolutely! You could always save a track alternative or freeze the track if you want the option to go back
Hello.... What bundle is the BEST to buy for your Studio? Platinum,Diamond, Horizon, or The Gold Bundle? A friend of mine was telling me he had The Mercury Bundle!! but I haven't seen that one yet on waves website; which do you prefer
I have platinum, along with a lot of others not in that bundle. I always say Gold is the best value for a mixing bundle out there, then build from that!
such a sick channel, top content, I recommend it to everybody I work with that produces or engineers. thank you!
🙏
I guess I'm pretty off topic but does anyone know of a good site to watch new series online ?
@Arturo Steven i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Cayson Arlo yup, have been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
@Cayson Arlo thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it !!

sure thing!
You should use reverb delays doubler or effects as a bus instead of on the direct chain.
yes, that's what I do in 99% of my sessions... for this video, since we're using only one instance of StudioRack to build a chain, I used them as inserts :)
Sean Divine got you. So this is the 1% lol. But great videos. I've definitely learned something from you thx
