I liked your logic in explaining that coding technology can be broken in the future with the word "if", as quantum technology is a computer sure that it will have a big problem in the future.👌

How about using DD-WRT firmware for your router in place of OpenWRT?

Hiding your Wi-Fi SSID (or even hiding your access point physically) isn't very useful in my opinion. Every Wi-Fi access point broadcasts not only its SSID, but also its BSSID, which is like the access point's MAC address. Anyone can look up the first 6 digits of the BSSID online to find out the manufacturer of that access point (or they can use an app on their phone to do so automatically).
Regarding MAC filtering, any adversary who's been able to crack (or guess) your password will be able to clone the MAC address of an already connected device. This means that MAC filtering is like hiding your SSID: borderline useless. It's much better to just have a secure (unguessable) password and keep the password safe.
And regarding VPNs, as (I think) you already mentioned in the VPN episode, it hides your traffic from your ISP but exposes it to your VPN provider. This is only really useful if you trust your VPN provider more than your ISP. Overall, I must say I find this episode lackluster compared to other episodes (sorry).
