Hey guys! Since I already see some comments about having issues running the mod, here's some info:
First off, to learn how to add mods to Bannerlord as a whole, I made a video a while back that you can check out: th-cam.com/video/ladVZIcHXnc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TerryDuke
As for The Old Realms specifically, here's the main stuff you need to know:
- Make sure to set Bannerlord on version 1.0.3. I suggest uninstalling it completely, then installing said version.
- The only other mod you should have is harmony, specifically version 2.2.2.162
- The first time you launch the mod, it will load for a long ass time, because the game is loading all of the new textures. This is normal, and can easily take an hour. Just launch the game and leave it be.
- It's highly recommended once you get to the money to click the "build shader cache" option. This will prompt another long loading screen, but basically it forces Bannerlord to pre-load all the stuff, meaning when you actually play the mod, you won't have long loading screens everytime you visit a new location or fight new units.
For anything else, I recommend going on the TOR discord server, their link is on the mod page.

I don't know the exact math, but I think having to aim higher with primitive guns is still pretty accurate, though it does seem like you had to aim a bit too high to hit. It looked more like a typical crossbow shot to me.
Maybe the hit detection breaks down if you make the projectiles too fast, who knows.
They probably have to work out the quirks, is all. Did like the idea that the shot was blocked with a shield from that distance though. Past a certain point, armor should still work against guns.

I think that's what all of us waited for! ;)
I started playing this mod at the beginning of the month after I was getting bored of modding vanilla and... I have to say so far this mod is amazing, and I can't wait for the update at the end of the month so I can make a badass warrior priest. So far though, playing both a necromancer and a vampire have been extremely satisfying for me.
Maybe in a few years. Warsword Conquest has had like 9 mf years of development, it's gonna be a good bit until this catches up imo. Still have high hopes though.

You should check out the unique quest you can do when you’re a necromancer or an engineer looking for cannons.
The unique scene for getting the cannons destroy any other mod.

try looking in Nuln for the cannon quest, i saw somepone play and did a quest to get cannons from a guy there@@TerryDuke
Aiming higher than the targets is not weird even in modern riftles there is the distance adjustment for target sights. Bullets also moves through a ballistic trajectory.
Holy Hell, those Chaos Warriors coming towards the player filled me with more fears than anything in Bannerlord ever has.

You need to try the vampire spells. Or the vampire in general. They have a whole new skill tree for them self in a different menu and the spells are insane. l haven’t played the mod yet but I’ve been watching a let’s play.

I will say it hasn't OUTDONE it YET but it is on a very good track to do so
Terry, wanna argue with you baaadly. Gotta agree, this mod definitely surpasses most of the warband mods featuring magic, especially with spells "as throwables" (Phantasy Calradia, Age of Sword and Sorcery, World of Vasnar e.t.c.). But on current stage of development it still feels like the player dives in abilities while most enemies and allies don't even have them. Chinese warband mods with five or more magic abilities per unit still hold up.
I wish someone could come up with a 1st person combat mod that puts Vermintide style combat into this.
I cant get this to run and it crashes a lot! Is there a way you can tell us what beta you're running and how did you manage to run the game without gpu crashes stating "parameter incorrect"? Thanks
Check the pinned comment, although the bannerlord version you need now for latest version is 1.2.0 i think. Check the mod page

Does anybody know if I can obtain the Chaos Raider armor for my character?
This mod is very promising but at the current stage its about a few hours of gameplay to test the career passives and spells. Custom maps and models are gorgeous, even in outdated bannerlord graphics, the amount of effort put in those things is incredible. Unfortunately, this mod DOES NOT improve the gameplay loop - there's simply nothing to do after a few hours since economy and difficulty is pretty busted, you just grind the same encounters over and over, gaining a few thousand gold from each. After 2 hours of gameplay I've acquired endgame gear and got myself to tier 4 clan, closed some chaos portals to get legendary gear and that's it, only stale old conquest left where there was no pressure to do so since most of the kingdoms were at constant peace. In WARHAMMER. Peace. A lot of improvement is due. Also I need to mention that the documentation for the mod is crap - seen a lot of people having problems with newest build since it required a specific Harmony version - why not provide a link to the nexus page for it? Also you need to spend between 20-70 minutes precaching shaders, otherwise the game loads so slow it is unplayable.
Still a long way to go, maybe next year it will be playable..

any originally historic(sword shield bow etc) based game that gets a warhammer mod then the warhammer 100% blows it out the water, just so much cooler than everything else lol

Bannerlord, warband has warsword Conquest for Warhammer universe, this one is pretty new in comparison.

When it releases the new world all the of the old world and norsca including some of the south lands then it will top warsword. Buuuut this is still fn great!

To me banner lord is still inferior to warband, I do have both on my desktop but for I always choose warband over MBII
i tried downloading the mod. harmony is broken and in need of update. Old Realms core mod the same.
Make sure you have the correct harmony version, it's 2.2.2.162. Bannerlord has to be 1.0.3
